Stoked that the Raiders actually drafted the best player available regardless of position. This is definitely a change from past drafts. I still hope they give O'Connell a chance this year. The kid looked good for a rookie.

Michael Mayer - Brock Bowers - Jakobi Meyers - Davante Adams. This is about giving whichever QB starts, the best chance to succeed.
Tre Tucker is the guy to watch for the Raiders he started to break out the last quarter of the season last year.

Maybe not if they plan on using lots of 13 personnel. He may be the most hurt by this move if the other 4 are on the field the majority of the time.
Bowers is what renfroe would become if he fell into a radioactive pit and mutated in his final form.

In hindsight this is going to look like a genius pick. He's going to be better than Kelce. You don't get this kind of talent at 13 fall in your lap that often. What a steal for the Raiders. The future is looking extremely bright. Bowers is a guy who can come in from Day 1 and be an X factor

Going with the best player has historically had a good track record. We’re heading for a 2 TE offense. Might as well jack that up, and it’s always a big help in blocking as well.

Raider fan here. I wanted a QB …but fuck it, none were there so we got a good offensive weapon in Bowers. I mean how can he or Mayer not be open? I’m on some wait and see type shit 👀🤞🏾
Plus if we draft a RB in the 3rd or 4th round to run committee with Zeus and Abdullah you can potentially have the ideal running offense that AP wants.

Nobody has been able to successfully run NE offense that featured tight ends Gonk & Hernandez. For 3yrs, that offense was so difficult to slow down. Hopefully, the OC can use some of those schemes using our TE, Mayer, Bowers, and Byrant. Go RAIDERNATION!

@@BenvyiousBPA is probably the best strategy. Reaching in drafts translates to poor depth and a bunch of shitty players that you wasted picks on.
Absolute steal at this spot. Since all the QBs were gone might as well help Minshew with an absolute X factor in Bowers. Sure we should have gone OT or CB but those needs can be addressed in the second a third round.

Bowers is a stud. Raiders got amazing value at 13. My only concern as a Raiders fan is that we needed O Line help and Secondary help coming into this draft (along with QB). At 13 we did have the chance to grab the top projected CB in the draft. When you have Mahomes in the division, and you’re rolling with Minshew or O’Connell, defense and running game is gonna be your key to success. Last year we beat down KC with the defense. But they upgraded at WR in the draft and with signing Brown.
A+ grade, it's amazing that he fell into our lap. He was the best offensive player on a national champion team at 18 YEARS OLD and followed that up with a season as the best offensive player on a national champion team at 19 😂 he's a frickin football savant. Let's go RAAAAAIIIIIDDERRRRRSSS

it's a great pick... they will use Meyers like a receiver and play them at same time... its plenty of o line and defense players to take from here... its 2024.. these players are versatile and the game has changed.. got to adjust and that's what we did...

As a Raiders fan I'm good with the pick. He looks like a hall of famer. It wasn't the biggest need but I think you have to take that guy if he falls to you.

This is the first time I've seen the Raiders draft BPA. I was 100% expecting them to pick Max Melton at 13 or something.

we just got two tight end set if you think about it that's how patriots won they had the two tight end sets with Aaron Hernandez and Gronk and since they were so big that's how they won game and SB so l'm cool with this

Look at the history of QB'S in the 1st round, at least half will be a bust. Raiders didn't reach, they took the best player available and it was a steal at 13. The best CB was ranked as the 5th best available player available, and Bower was alone at #1, if thats the case, take the best player available. That's not rocket science, that's drafting 101.

This pick shows me that were arent interested in winning this year. This is not a pick to beat the chiefs twice a year. We need a qb and someone to block for that qb. Hell we need a running back more than we needed a TE 🤣 i understand no qbs were available. But how does this pick make us contenders in the afc west right away?
