The 80's birthed Poison. I was too young for this kind of purchase, so I didn't buy a bottle until 1990. I was 18 years old and I did not know or care that CD Poison was way too grown for me...BUT I LOVED IT! The 90's had some gorgeous, masterpiece status releases the favorites in my rotation back then were; CD Tendre Poison, CD Dune, & Lancome Poeme.
What I love the most about these vintage heavier fragrances is how the scent changes from person to person and also how it changes wearing it through the day. My grandma has White Shoulders; on her, the deeper spicy notes are more pronounced. But when I tried it on myself the floral notes were more pronounced, and for such a heavy fragrance it smelled very light on me. I just find vintage perfumes so fascinating and I want to build up a collection of them.
My '80's baby, and forever a love since it came out in 1985 when I was ten, is Christian Dior's POISON! I own a bottle of the newer formulation as well as a few vintage bottles. Yes, I grew up listening to great music in the era of MTV, when it was incredible; miss the uniqueness and my childhood back then.
I'm a 70s baby. I've always liked beast mode fragrances. I wore Charlie in the red box by Revlon, Giorgio by Giorgio Beverly Hills and Red by Giorgio Beverly Hills in the 80s. I wore Versace Red Jeans, Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers, Liz Claiborne in the yellow bottle and Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani. I wore Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, Jadore by Christian Dior, Gucci Rush, Mania by Giorgio Armani and Escada Sentiment. These are the fragrances that were in heavy rotation but there was so many more. I currently have Halston and Cabotine in my collection. Tfs💕

I wore White Shoulders or Revlon Ciara in the mid 70’s. Sand and Sable through the 80’s. Even with many fine fragrances in my current collection, my husband always compliments how I smell good when I wear Ciara, which seems humorous to me because it’s my least expensive perfume!
Adult perfumes were all pretty strong and spicy in the 70's & 80's except scents for younger girls. I was a kid in the 70's & we all wore perfume but for girls: Loves Baby Soft, Heaven's Scent, White Shoulders or Sweet Honesty
I was also born in 77 and my first favourite perfume was Anaïs Anaïs! I'm into different scents now like Calvin Klein Contradiction, Escape, Aromatics Elixir, Issey Miyake Eau de l'Issey, Gucci Envy or Narciso Rodriguez for her. Sad that some of those are discontinued now.

I LOVE Halston! I swear I have had more people, men and women, ask me, “What are you wearing? You smell GOOD!” than any other fragrance I’ve tried. Weird, I never noticed a hint of mint in it. I know fragrances always smell different on each individual. I always think it smells like a woody sandalwood and incense with a bright sparkling top finish. On me at least! Anyway, my all time fav. ❤️👍
A fabulous movie about the life of the designer Halston is on Netflix. They cover the making of the fragrance in the movie and the shape of the bottle has a story too!!

I was pre teen/teen growing up in the 80's but my favorite perfume was from the 90's. I say "was" because it's hard to find now. I loved wearing New west skin scent for woman. It was my signature scent. I have an old bottle with some in it from like 10 years ago. I use it sparingly. I never hear anyone talk about it. I dont know why. It was the scent of the 90's.

When Cabotine lays on your skin for a while, it’s so beautiful and last forever. I discovered it late in my life on a customer of mine. I asked her what does she have on because she’s smells beautiful.

Eau de Nikita lol.. oldie but goodie.. it’s within the same era as organza by givenchy. My partner hates organza and Shalimar. I wear both when I want to annoy him😁.. it works like magic and he stays completely away from me.

The 80’s was Oscar de la Renta, Nina Ricci I’air du temps, 2 bottles of a fragrance called Cabriole (which was drugstore) and I pretty much loved anything spicy oriental, 90’s was Ici, Lutece, 2 bottles of Obsession, 2 bottles of Liz Claiborne called Realities, 2 bottles of Bill Blass’s Nude, and 2 bottles of Elizabeth Arden’s True Love and Oscar’s Volupte. Many others as well, but these were my main loves. You can still buy most of them, but they’ve been reformulated and they’re not the same. Nowadays, while I have a larger collection, my favourites still tend to be spicy orientals and gourmands. Cheapies and otherwise, but haven’t yet stepped into the niche market.

My favorite perfume was Bill blass I had a bottle of Halston and that came up I drew a picture of that posted bottle I thought it was so unique Love's had a lot of different one of them was loves earthy musk just delicious I managed to hold on to that bottle I still have it I used it back in 1976. Love also had a fragrance out called rain you're still on the road they came out with another one called rain something something smell nothing like the original one. there was a scent called Gambit which was very strong but very pretty. And of course clinique's wrappings which they still make they sell most during the holidays. Then there's narcisse that's the 90s my signature scent is Madeleine mono that stays on like a monster my sister hates it so I stopped wearing it. I still have some though and it never seems to go bad only betterfor the life of me there's an actress out there she played in blue lagoon she had the main role I'm forgetting her name she was a model also it's a lot like fracas. I think it was 80's or maybe 90's but Malibu musk is an all time favorite of mine- wish I could still get it Makes me cry that I can't lol I was in a bad car accident 35 years ago and my purse was thrown from the car and not recovered- but it had a perfume in it in a black bottle that I can't remember the name of - drives me crazy! I think it may have been a narcisse or anisse - don't know the spelling? Wish I could figure it out so I can get it again
I'm a 50s baby and as I got older I enjoyed Windsong, Emeraude, Shalamar and Liar de Temps these were fragrances my mother wore. The fragrances you mentioned were Halston, and Liz Claybourne. Love them all because I've got to wear the stronger fragrances if not they'll never last.

1984 was the best year in the 80s as far as music for sure. Everything came out that year. I need to smell Halston. I remember seeing that at mall as a kid but I never tried it. I remember the others. Liz Claiborne was so popular in the 80s and 90s.

70s baby. Estee Lauder: (Aldehyde) I believe....Estee is the only perfume I remember my mother wearing the most, launched in '68. She also liked Youth Dew '50-53...and White Linen, Cinema, etc. I actually really like Estee. I try to keep a bottle to remind me of her. It lasts on the skin 12hrs+, and on clothes for days. You can still smell it after clothing has been washed.

I was in a bad car accident 35 years ago and my purse was thrown from the car and not recovered- but it had a perfume in it in a black bottle that I can't remember the name of - drives me crazy! I think it may have been a narcisse or anisse - don't know the spelling? Wish I could figure it out so I can get it again

I'm a 50s baby and as I got older I enjoyed Windsong, Emeraude, Shalamar and Liar de Temps these were fragrances my mother wore. The fragrances you mentioned were Halston, and Liz Claybourne. Love them all because I've got to wear the stronger fragrances if not they'll never last.

1984 was the best year in the 80s as far as music for sure. Everything came out that year. I need to smell Halston. I remember seeing that at mall as a kid but I never tried it. I remember the others. Liz Claiborne was so popular in the 80s and 90s.

Estee Lauder: (Aldehyde) I believe....Estee is the only perfume I remember my mother wearing the most, launched in '68.
She also liked Youth Dew '50-53...and White Linen, Cinema, etc.
I actually really like Estee. I try to keep a bottle to remind me of her. It lasts on the skin 12hrs+, and on clothes for days. You can still smell it after clothing has been washed.
