UK - Steam Dreams to Edinburgh with 3 Locos! - 23rd to 26th November 2023

The company Steam Dreams organised a 4 day excursion from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh for the Christmas Market there.
The deal included a lunch trip over the famous Forth Bridge.
The intention was for Deltic diesel D9000 "Royal Scots Grey" to take the train from London to York and for LNER A4 steam loco 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley" to do the rest.
Unfortunately, the A4 struggled and developed a piston problem, so the elderly Class 40 diesel D213 "Andania" took over the duties.
We had hoped to record the A4 going over the 1890 built Forth Rail Bridge but had to settle for a rather less interesting Class 40.

Yes at York this is where royal Scot’s grey meets its rival sir Nigel gresley just like it did in the 60s

It's a pedestrian crossing exactly 7 miles north of York. I don't want to give too many details but I'm sure you can find it - Andy
