Every Indian watching this video keep India neat and clean..... pollution is the biggest problem our country is facing ..... we have achieved many feats and pollution less India should be our next target......jai hind.....vande matram
Your videos are just amazing because they re probably the realest ones of youtube. I don't care to watch all those travel vloggers going to 4-5 stars hotels, full of organized tours and basically showing us travels most of us couldnt afford. Now, THIS is the kind of travel I like, this is how you truly discover a country and enjoy it s culture
Thanks a lot, appreciate it. That's what I'm going for. Lots more coming. Next video: bicycle adventure in the Thar desert showing tiny villages and amazing landscapes.
Are you back in India?! Omg I'm so jealous... At least I started uploading videos from my 9-month journey there and I'm definitely sticking around to watch your adventures! I miss India so much, looking forward to seeing more of it with your eyes :)
Only visit specific areas if u want a good tour don't visit areas which Gabriel has visited full of poverty and slums dirt and cows stay away from such areas
@Mike that would be a perfect spot to have a morning chai or coffee and see the world from the top. By the way Udaipur is another incredible place to visit.
i love it when you are in India Gabe, You can tell that its a place you love.Loving this adventure,Hopefully one day our paths will cross. keep safe mate....John
Gabriel, your videos make me connect to myself, 9 years ago i was in Rajastan state during the time of Garba festival , and this song there, people are singing at the lake I know it by heart... take me with you next time :), I wish you great journey, and thank u!..
Amazing vlog Gabe!! That quaint temple on the mountain top seemed so peaceful. India is just a huge canvas of varied experiences. Good, bad, ugly, serene, chaos.... it has a character of its own. Its too vast and travellers like you really motivate us a you put forward the real essence of the place. Keep going brother!! God Bless. 👍✌
The best travel photographer ever. You sir showing us the best uncut unedited new places around the the world. I like how you go to places that are not famous and random. This what you doing is the real way to travel and explore the world. Thank you
Pushkar looks pretty nice and atsmospheric. The bazaar part was a tourist-bustle by the looks of it, but I could definitley see myself hang out with a snack for an afternoon in that temple plaza. That was positively gorgeous.
After spending a week on Thai islands I've realised I'm more of a city explorer. Love the noises and chaos in this video. Heading to Kuala Lumpur to get my head down and do some work then it's a month touring Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City by train!
Can I request you to explore South and North East India as well? It is almost different countries as in cultures, language, environment, architecture and food...
I explored south India earlier this year, here's a movie about it: ruclips.net/video/KBZUD8L7sEQ/видео.html Not sure if I'll make it to the northeast on this trip, we'll see. I really want to go to Sikkim and Darjeeling especially, but it's getting cold now. But I'm sure the states of Assam, Nagaland, etc. would be really fascinating to see and not many other tourists there.
Gabriel I love the way you dont state the obvious until it becomes obvious that you need to state it. "... even if the fair isnt going on in fact every other time the fair wasnt going on..." Nice.
That's, really amazing narration and perspective of video making which takes audience right into the place, I felt like I was right there while watching it. I live in Jaipur and my hometown is Ajmer near Pushkar this time due to work I didn't get the chance to visit the fair but I have experienced it through your Pushkar series thanks a lot for this Gabriel, Also do check out Jaisalmer if you haven't been there it's an amazing place I lived there for 2 years, since you are in Rajasthan do not miss the opportunity I suggest.
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed. I've been to Jaisalmer a couple times before and have some old (and not as good) videos from there: ruclips.net/user/gabejedmosearch?query=Jaisalmer
Here in India each state has immense potential for tourism but sadly only few states have identified it including Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. You will be amazed to see places if you read about them first before planning a trip. Please read about forts in Maharashtra state in India and visit those. You will find some forts as beautiful trek and hiking points.
After spending a few months in India I realized I could feel the presence of that nasty black water before I could even smell the stench. Came in handy as I would hold my breath when I felt it!!! Still my favorite country to backpack. :)
India is full of diversity Highly unorganised But v believe in coexistent where people, cow, duck can live togerher If U believe in nature then all of this is nature Bytheway nice to see pusker by urs viewpoint Have a nice journey Welcome to Gujarat (state nr rajesthan)
Duffer Man, yes ur right, many indians r live in america but i am saying that in india state wise diversity of over own people Whereas in America how many local american native is there...????
The dresses that the locals are wearing are sooo COLORFUL. When I compare the "Poor" locals with the "rich" foreigners that's one thing I'm always struck by...that the locals are wearing much more colorful & lively clothes.
How does youtube work ? Do you get compensated more if we click on "like" or we click on the advertisement prior to your videos ? Have been watching your videos but been forgetting to click "like' since I need to sign in.
Thanks for asking. The most important thing is simply watching. RUclips keeps track of how long people watch a video, so the more you watch the better. But don't watch the video all the way through just to help me out, only if you actually feel like it. Clicking like does help a little bit, but I wouldn't worry about it, it's a tiny difference. If you're enjoying the video then just watching it is good enough, so thanks for watching.
Don't just watch the video to help you out? That's like eating the cone and throwing away the ice cream.'You''re the reason why we keep following you like The Pied Piper. You make us feel the way you're feeling while you are there.
Good to know ! I always watched to the end , am a bit hooked , vicariously living an adventurous life because of your channel . Inspiring me to live more passionately ! Keep em coming please !
How do you best avoid the dogs? Do you find most of them are dangerous or just dirty and sad. I think I will struggle with that when I visit either way. Any suggestions?
Mara N Dogs are usually coward, they just bark sometime in dark or lonely place but they are not dangerous just ignore them. And during the day they ignore People.
@Mara, majority of dogs in India are used to the public, cars & other animals and as a result majority of them WILL NOT attack people. However I've experienced that dogs like to chase cars especially if you are a passenger in a car and make an eye contact with some dogs then they want to chase you. Good one Gabe.....and those hilltop view are uncanny.......btw, is your belly so accustomed from all your India travel, that you hare free from.......issues.....:-)
You must have a great intuition to choose the right places to eat and you are also very positive and carefree about everything. You actually made me very curious to visit India.
No it's definitely not the first one, I've done that in some previous videos including my last one "One day in India" and maybe one or two in Thailand, I forget. But I'll be doing it more in the future, if there are some especially exciting clips from the video.

Hey Gabriel love your videos. And you are a amazing man. I wish I could travel with you some day if possible. Want to show you a small city where i live called UJJAIN in the Madhya pradesh.
I'm going next to Vrindavan which will be new for me. One problem is I've been so many places in India, there aren't a lot places I've heard about that I haven't been to. Basically Sikkim and Darjeeling, the northeast states, Bodhgaya, Gujarat and Kerala are the main places that I'd still like to see. But those places are all pretty out of the way and I'm not sure I want to go that far on buses, etc. on this trip.
i am not sure if you have been to kolkata -great place for food and a good many places to see?Try the north-east ,there's a famous festival in Nagaland called the hornbill festival, but a lot of permit's are needed to get there.u been to amritsar- the golden temple? one great place .also Dalhousie near Mcleodganj is a great place. Ajanta & Ellora, especially Ellora, Mysore,Vizag - but in all these places to visit at-least need a train ticket , bus wont do.
Gabriel Traveler AMRITSAR would be great at the end of trip. Golden Temple then Wagah border Ind-Pak Prade ceremony and then you can cross the border on foot and enter Lahore, Pakistan if you want to explore a new country.
Hello Gabriel! First at all I really like your vids since years, specially those from India! but I have one question, don't you feel lonely (relationship and/or starting a family etc...) ?
Around 220 rupees or about $3.50. And it was amazingly delicious. They're Italian food experts there, I went back a couple more times (especially because of that killer juice).
Those street $wine would've been PORK ROLL here in New Jersey, LIL-BIG-BRO-GABE!! MMMMM MMMMM GOOD!!! Yep, that's what we call em here in Jersey, pork roll.
Do me a big favor and as someone to p/u the trash or clean it up?they spent hours on the phone, stand or sit doing nothing, but will not clean up,they are nice people but very dirty.
Yeah lots of times. But this time I just sat on top of one for the photo. Here's an older video going on a camel safari a different time in India: ruclips.net/video/dves39bopr8/видео.html I've also done a three-day camel safari in India (before I had a digital camera) and I did one in Morocco about a year ago: ruclips.net/video/tNEaoSSiug0/видео.html
Jaisalmer is worth the effort if you have the time, it's really amazing and a lot to see in the area including the small desert villages nearby. And I think it's a better place to do a camel safari than Pushkar. That's where I did the 3-day safari, outside of Jaisalmer.

Agreed. The men's clothing is pretty normal: slacks and dress shirts mostly. Except for some of the traditional Rajasthani guys with their red turbans who are looking pretty interesting.
Women traditional dress called Sari, that's on peace of clothes and covers mostly. There are number of ways to wear a Sari depends which part of India are you from. The way of wearing Sari is there culture and Sari is Civilization.
yes filth and mess but you just want to get out of the western “cube” sometimes and experience something different. and if something, this is very different. I don’t know your thoughts on this but I think for some of us a combination of the two world would be a perfect way of life. ...it would be interesting if you could show people’s homes. how they live their life. I know it’s not so simple just like you knock on their doors and get in but I mean maybe you get an invitation somewhere sometime then don’t miss that opportunity 😊
Tibby K Stay with families, eat vegetarian food in max houses. Villages and small cities life are very nice. In villages they pet a cow. People know each other in whole areas and help especially in villages. And less divorce rate unlike Western world. Marriage is for 7 lives.
I went to Varindavan last year, a monkey took my specs away while I was sitting in the car wearing it. Take care of your Camera. Nice new Temple ruclips.net/video/CJBC0Ha97xc/видео.html My distant relatives lives in Mathura near Varindavan, if you need any help, I can try. You can also consider Mathura.
Well, I personally blame Europeans and European Americans for all the unnatural garbage in this world today, their industries and colonialism started all this poisons we are ingesting today.
I was there in 1995 and whilst i am sure there was a bit of trash lying around there which i am conveniently forgetting it looks from your India visit/videos this time that the amount of plastics etc has become totally out of control. What really shocks me is that as you have pointed out Pushkar is a religious site and a place of pilgrimage for Hindu's and yet they have allowed the whole place to be abused - even on the way up to the temple on the hill facing the desert. I really really loved Pushkar and had some wonderful experiences there. I am just hoping that places like Hampi etc have not been treated the same way. I am sure though that despite the rubbish India has lost none of its charm and magic ( i spent almost a year there, the most magical of my life) I wonder if introducing a visitors tax to pay for rubbish collection in each town would be viable. Thanks for the great videos as always Gabriel, maybe i will see you on the road one day man!

@2:21 the guy has to be a gora (a Caucasian guy). I don't mean to offend anyone, just trying to find a little amusement.
Population is just 22,000. I think this is among very few places in India where tourists are more than locals.
love this restaurant.alwaya had my coffee there❤️

So yeah, you might be right that this is the first one where I've done that. I've shown previews at the beginning of other videos before but just one clip, not multiple clips. Is theft a problem in India?
Sometimes, yes. If you're vigilant, you should be okay.

I use hostelworld and booking.com. If you use booking.com, use this link and I'll get commission and you might save $20:

Unique architecture!
Did you film this with a potato?
visit Bhubaneswar Temple city

how much was that Italian meal?
Around 220 rupees or about $3.50. And it was amazingly delicious. They're Italian food experts there, I went back a couple more times (especially because of that killer juice).
I wish I knew about this restaurant when I was there.

Have you ridden a camel yet?
Yeah lots of times. But this time I just sat on top of one for the photo. Here's an older video going on a camel safari a different time in India:

I've also done a three-day camel safari in India (before I had a digital camera) and I did one in Morocco about a year ago:

Yes, been there a couple times, before I was making videos. I went to the Bikaner camel festival in 2008, which was really cool.
Just remembered, I actually have an old video from there: ruclips.net/video/0wzsnoKZ2RA/видео.html

Your on top of another pyramid in a series that I estimate @ about 80,000 years or so. Genesis tells of this time if one knows what to look for.
Am I safe to assume the canals around all of the buildings are sewage? Great videos sir! Be safe
I don't think those are open sewers actually, but I'm not quite sure about that.
Maybe I'm antisocial, but I actually prefer the quieter version of pushkar 😛
Me too. The camel fair was fun for a day, then I was tired of the crowds.
The clothes are beautiful--women's.

If Gabriel was to take a dip/swim/dive into that bio-hazard lake, his skin and guts would ooze off and he will come out only skull n' bones. lol
Do not use earphone....otherwise 👂💦💦💥💥💨💨
.... thought I saw a shop which carried men's sandals - going barefoot is mere populism.
I had sandals with me, but you're supposed to remove footwear when you walk on the ghats beside the lake, if that's what you were referring to.
That makes sense for a traveler to show respect while visiting a holy site.
Yes, exactly. But you definitely want to watch where you step, especially around the geese.
I'm sure, and subbed
Gabriel u walk too much man, wonderfull for travellers
yes filth and mess but you just want to get out of the western “cube” sometimes and experience something different. and if something, this is very different.
@Tibby, people in India are more than happy to let foreigners see their homes especially this is true for people living in villages etc..
@Pankaj ji marriage ka saath saat janma tak can be deadly for some people you know. lol
Quite a shady town Gabriel. The peace of the temple was nice, I'm Indian and would never want to visit here. Where you headed next?
Agra tomorrow, then Vrindavan. Haven't been to Vrindavan yet, sounds interesting. Have you been there?
I went to Varindavan last year, a monkey took my specs away while I was sitting in the car wearing it. Take care of your Camera.
Nice new Temple ruclips.net/video/CJBC0Ha97xc/видео.html
My distant relatives lives in Mathura near Varindavan, if you need any help, I can try. You can also consider Mathura.
Gabriel Traveler i was at Vrindavan 2 days ago and it was so pure and divine experience. I feel enlightened after that trip.
Oh wow. My mothers family has an ancestral home in Vrindavan. I've never been there. Looking forward to the videos!
Have you been to the Nilgiris down south? Some beautiful sights there. Maybe you could consider that next year.
you should speak fluent Indian by now... a couple of more trips and you will be eligible for Indian citizenship :)
phil48lw there are tourists who have been coming India for deceds and visited more than 20 times. I have met in Paharganj, Delhi.
There's no such language as "Indian"
breaks my hear to see so much rubbish ...
lol why man?
Pushkar used to be absolutely stunning - to see so much plastic rubbish on the side of the roads everywhere is deeply upsetting.
Well, I personally blame Europeans and European Americans for all the unnatural garbage in this world today, their industries and colonialism started all this poisons we are ingesting today.
captainkavi, when did you visit Pushkar? I agree, the garbage is incredibly disappointing.
Thanks for the great videos as always Gabriel, maybe i will see you on the road one day man!
what a horrible place , go to NZ next and clean up
Swachh Bharat (clean India) . All lies of Modi.
@Jd, please don't turn this into Anti-Modi stuff. Tune swach Bharat ke liye kuch kiya hein kya aur sirf complains hi karta hein?
@nakul if Modi used tax dollars for his rallies then why Indian public is not doing anything about it?
Everywhere you turn another imaginary god.
So you are the accident and you came from a monkey, right? And this life you live in is not engineered. YOU MUST BE KIDDING US?
O YES! THERE IS ONE TRUE GOD NOT MANY:)
You believe you are an animal with no hope, open your eyes and see you are living in a creation.
