And did you find out how much extra for the 912is? Floods told me the engine is about 8k extra but an aircraft manufacturer can add as much as they want for the fitting/design etc
Where was this video taken at? 2 great LSA people in that airplane. Dennis in left seat and Dan in the right! Probably the best little airplane in the world.
Great plane, the only thing that bothers me is the long float if you're after STOL, I'd like to see Yuri smack it down in half the width of his runway (10m, 30') like he did with the A20 and A22!
@@markthibault8579 AOA? I think when yr getting low and slow, close to the ground you gotta be looking outside in front of you, not starting at guages in the dash, just mho
31:15 The pilot is working hard to SELL the airplane, but is not giving much attention to the airspace outside of the cockpit. I see Dan J is looking for and identifying traffic, but Aircraft Demonstrator is busy talking and selling, and is betting their lives on the belief "all traffic will appear on the screen on the dash." I was taught to treat each corner of the pattern as an intersection, and to visually "clear the intersection." Never do I see pilot looking left, or for possibly conflicts in the pattern. Yuri is demonstrating the flying style (WWI training techniques) that leads to two aircraft colliding at the landing point on a CAVU Sunday afternoon, after one guy flies left pattern, and the other guy with no radio flies a right-hand pattern to the same runway. Watch the pilot from 31:56 until touchdown and tell me if he looks for traffic thru the windows, or even calls FINAL. 32:53 The left wing is raised, and this would be a perfect opportunity to look left and see the Piper Comanche on a seven mile final. Comanche is transmitting on the wrong frequency.
PLEASE note that this is an EDITED video - to video a complete circuit from entering to landing would probably take 5 to 10 minutes NOT the 60 or 70 seconds shown on the video! The pilot made ALL the appropriate radio calls etc.
the Ukrainian quality of aircraft construction is, as always, on top. The chief designer and owner of the Aeroprakt company worked at AN as a designer
Indead thanks to Yuri and the guys!
I am awaiting delivery in February to Australia and I can't wait!
What location in Australia? I’d love to see one in the flesh..

Up close and personal...the best construction that I have seen...bar none...
Great flight, informative conversation. Educational while being thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you!
One of the best, if not the best flight I’ve ever had, was with Dennis and this aircraft! I kid you not!
Super!
Indeed a fantastic aircraft.
Hey Dan, Great video! You referred to a ratio of “5 to 1, 4 to one is the holy grail “
914UL? Missed the powerplant if it was in the video. Nice demo flight. Great salesman.
Rotax 912.
Most probably a 912ish, 100 hp. Would be more than enough.
@@ultralightnews thanks, always have Porsche on the brain!

Buckeye Air Fair, Buckeye Arizona. Some footage from Midwest LSA Expo, Mt. Vernon Illinois.

You got a link to that?
Maybe adding VGs to the wing and an angle of attack indicator to the panel would improve the STOL capability.

Great flyer! 👍👍
WHAT IS THE CHANCE OF GETTING A USED ONE? AND ABOUT HOW MUCH AND WHERE WOULD BE THE BEST PLACE YOU COULD BUY ONE?
DOES THIS PLANE COME IN A SINGLE SEAT? AND WANT IS THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GET THIS PLAND? AND COULD YOU FIND A USED ONE AND WHERE?
Looks like a great aircraft, is there ever any carb icing on the 912ULS? How she’s this aircraft manage with a tailwind on landing?
I’ve flown the uls in all Vfr conditions year round with no problems. I don’t have carb heat fitted….
I would love one
What is the engine in this aircraft?
What date this video was taken?
2020.
