I'm a philosophy grad student and I listen to this while writing papers.
Vegeta's philosophy-- his pride in doing things in his own way-- is actually an ancient idea going back to the Romans. Some Roman philosophers believed that part of living a good life and doing the right thing, was making sure your actions were consistent with your unique personality. They called this "constantia"--"consistency" in English.
Sure, Goku may be the best. He may be born for being the strongest. But Vegeta is the most consistent character in the show. He does things in his own way, and sometimes living up to the virtues of your own character is more important than living in accordance with some ideal, in the way that Goku does.
Goku is The Ideal Fighter, but Vegeta is the most ideal version of himself. He has constantia. He is consistent.

Goku's philosophy is essentially "no matter how strong you are, there's always someone stronger, so never stop improving!"
Vegeta's is "There shouldn't be anyone stronger. You'll be the best, or you'll be nothing"
You're right about vegeta's philosophy but wrong about Goku's. Goku's philosophy isn't that there will always be someone stronger so you gotta keep getting stronger . His philosophy is simply that - "I wanna see how strong I can get, and keep getting stronger my whole life."
Facing stronger opponents excites him as that portrays that there are still new heights to reach, and a long way to go.

I saw this different. I always visioned it as, you’ll be the best version of yourself. You have to be all you can be, embrace it, become it. If you don’t find all you can be. You will be nothing, your life will have been meaningless. You’ll be the best or you’ll be nothing.

The Thing with vegeta is that while he wants to be the best, we understand his character in a different way as the audience. One who had it all, was humbled, and worked hard to get it back. He took his legacy for granted until he met goku and worked his ass off to keep up. Vegeta failed time and time again, and never gave up. Even if he's losing he doesn't quit. He embodies a realistic mentality of making it through life and persevering. Trial and failure, pushing forward, but being confident in yourself

When I grew up, vegeta became my most favorite anime character in all anime. He didn't exist in real life, but to me, he always make me don't give up. When I break down about many things, I watch vegeta as the motivation and discipline. I believe Vegeta's pride and motivation is the best, If you want to be successful and strong. You must work your ass off like vegeta. Failure is the part of success, vegeta had gone through many failures yet he still doesn't give up, always believes in himself and always vows to ascend it.

Vegeta was always my favorite from a young age he worked toward his goals never giving up it's something I live by myself and to this day it's still inspiring
Ngl every time I watch this it gives me goosebumps and it reminds me what it means to have pride and to follow my own path. The reason why I have pride is because I lost something very dear to me and I wasn't able to be enough so I wanted to be strong enough so something like that never happens again and it still haunts me to this day and I know no one would see this or comment but just wanted to share my thoughts and if somehow someone sees this, this is what I think and feel when I watch this and try to improve on what I am and I will do it my way and not be a follower but be a leader of my own life and if you guys wanna know more details just comment and I will edit it so I can add more detail why I care so much

Growing up on DBZ it was a dream and story that I only witnessed through Japanese story telling that was an original story and passion I grew to love as a child. I am an adult in his 30's and the shows still give me the same passion but it's when I see fan created highlight reals such as this telling Vegeta's story that really inspire me. DBZ is truly a show that bonds me to many other friends and fans who grew up watching the show. Thank you so much for this highlight video. Brings the spark out as if watching for the first time as a kid long ago.

This gave me goosebumps, it’s actually sad that vegeta never gets the W, he’s always behind goku and goku always getting the wins and the glory, living in his shadow, THEY NEED TO CHANGE THAT, no1 deserves it more then vegeta
I want him to get a win, but he should always remain behind goku. It’s what makes his character all that more relatable. For every underdog who can’t catch their peers, he’s that guy
