40 Persons Feared Dead in Katsina State Bandits' Attacks

Some sad tales about killing and maiming of people in vulnerable communities tell us that the war against terror in Nigeria, is far from over. In recent attacks, more than 300 armed bandits attacked some communities in Zamfara and Katsina states, killing more than 40 people, while scores of others escaped with various degrees of injuries. The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, Muhammad Dalijan confirmed the killing of some of his officers. Residents also revealed that the attack was in fulfilment of the promise made by the bandits to strike again, after their last attack.
