@@johannprei33 i think it has something to do with vergil's journey of self-discovery: he tried to suppress his human side (bury the light), because he associated it with weakness, stemming from his trauma from losing his parents and being separated from his brother, but ultimately realized that his humanity made him stronger. this is the opposite of dante, who had to reconcile with his demon side
I see myself so much in bury the light, I was abandoned on the street when I was born, then I was adopted and cared for until I was 15 by an elderly couple (who mistreated me), then they abandoned me again because I am autistic and have psychological problems, so I got a job and now I'm here, in my little apartment, celebrating my 18th birthday completely alone, without family, friends, or anything.

Bury the Light isn't just a song about Vergil. It is who Vergil is.
From the beginning, when he lost his mother at the age of eight, Vergil thought that she abandoned him to look for Dante instead, and he thought Dante was dead. Thus, he starts his dark path for more power to shake off his past trauma.
Dante and Nero are the only ones that Vergil can call "family." Those are the only remnants of the Sparda bloodline: his brother, his son, and himself. Vergil has a heavy burden to carry as the eldest of the three, and the one who suffered the most, not only during his time as Nelo Angelo, but when he was forced to make a last-ditch attempt to rip off the Devil Bringer and cleave his soul into two separate entities: V and Urizen.
However, when the two merged, Vergil was healed in two ways: Urizen healed him in body, and V healed him in soul. Once restored, he was faster, stronger and in a much more healthier condition than before. Hence why he was able to overpower Dante with minimal effort. But when Vergil makes his monologue atop the Qliphoth, he wonders if his life would have changed if he went through Dante's life, and Dante went through his.
That's enough about Vergil, now time to analyze the lyrics.
"Bury the light deep within!" This is a reflection to the second chorus of Nero's battle theme, Devil Trigger. Nero wants to "embrace the darkness" and let out his inner demon, but Vergil wants to "bury the light", his human side, as it is a haunting memory of pain, suffering, and weakness.
"Cast aside, there's no coming home!" This refers to the burning house that Vergil spent his youth in. He accepts that there is no coming back, that there is no returning from where he started.
"We're burning chaos in the wind!" This signifies that no matter where Vergil goes, there will always be violence and destruction, no matter what.
"Drifting in the ocean ALL ALONE!!!" This is the final sentence in the entire song. This signifies that in the end, Vergil will be all alone, forever, lost in his thoughts, fighting his inner demons until his last breath.
Most people view Vergil as a cold-hearted, ruthless version of his brother.
But I view him as a broken soul, whose path to darkness is justified.
Now, join me in this resonating chorus of sorrow and lamentation...

See, now when Bury The Light is like this... this isn't motivation. These are the cries of a once happy boy, turned to sadness, anger, hatred, regret.. betrayal.. Bury The Light is not a song of motivation. It is the song of a young boy who had his LITERAL inner demons awakened within him. This is just pure sorrow. Pure pain. Pure agony. All these years, Vergil had thought his OWN MOTHER betrayed him, pursuing Dante instead of him, thus, he sought power as a final resort.
Now, let us analyse the lyrics together.
"Bury The Light deep within!" - Vergil burying his humanity under a facade of "power".
"Cast aside, there's no coming home!" - Eva (I think that was her name) looking for Vergil, only to be slain by the demons, along with Vergil awakening his Devil Trigger because of the Yamato. (EDIT: credits to @BlackwindGogeta for this bit.) He accepts that there is no coming back, that there is no returning from where he started.
"We're burning chaos in the wind!" - No matter what, Dante’s demonic side will always be a part of him and Vergil’s life will never be normal. Vergil will have to seek more power and Dante will have to stop him. That is, until the end of DMC5 came along, which broke the status quo once and for all.
"Drifting in the ocean, ALL ALONE!" - Vergil's final moments of being with his family, before turning himself a new page, venturing by himself. All alone. Drifting in the endless terrain before him. (EDIT: credits to @BeachioSandschannel for this one.) Vergil will be all alone, forever, lost in his thoughts, fighting his inner demons until his last breath.

"Cast aside there's no coming home" part actually mean he can't go back in time to revert the trauma and also his home got destroyed along with his mom gone.
"We're burning chaos in the wind" mean no matter how Vergil search for power there will be always a pay to price - chaos. Can be observed through DMC3&5. Also Dante also there highlighting"we" .
“We’re burning chaos in the wind!” probably refers to Vergil and Dante’s lives. No matter what, Dante’s demonic side will always be a part of him and Vergil’s life will never be normal. Vergil will have to seek more power and Dante will have to stop him. That is, until the end of DMC5 came along, which broke the status quo once and for all.
As a matter of fact, I believe that this entire song is a metaphor for Vergil and how once you look past his determination and coldness, he’s a lost soul who disregarded his own humanity just to find more power.
