Confederate Cold Harbor has a quick win option that you've triggered. Lucky that the enemy units were small and inexperienced, on Legendary they usually kick you out if you manage to take the point. But it's a great win in economical and manpower terms. And if you do everything right in the next two battles, you might be able to field the needed amount of men for Washington.
Cold Harbor has about 5 phases, or more, but you have to play a mini-game of not taking flags to see every phase. I fought every phase except the last phase, and the battle felt like it went on forever. With your small numbers, taking the early victory was a good play. The only reason to drag this out is to grind XP and to harvest weapons. On MG and LG, if you have the men, you will also want to inflict losses on the AI to drive down the AI manpower pool to as close to 50k as possible. - You can also end the battle early by taking and holding the flag in most of the phases of this battle. - Taking and holding the flag in this phase is very difficult on MG and LG. - The AI was super aggressive here because the AI had to take the flag back or lose the battle. - You are getting close to the end of the campaign.
@@theRandolfski With your numbers, I think getting out of Cold Harbor early is the best option. This isn't an option on higher levels of difficulty, where holding the flag is nearly impossible in the first phase (on LG the CSA brought 110,000 to this battle, and I killed about 70,000, but this was with over 7,000 lost). The question for the CSA is always: Can the CSA survive these losses and still continue with the campaign?

I was shocked when it ended and guess there was some sort of quick victory conditions? Certainly took me off guard and we go into the final few episodes with Our heads held high and in a tremendous position!
