Excellent. This video helped solve what had been weeks of issues with my left side storm roll. I watched Dubside start his storm roll with his forehead on his spray skirt and end that way, without a lot of up and down movement during his roll. I was diving my blade way to deep, he did not. This video unlocked the strong torso sweep, moving the paddle like a martial arts staff. I had been somewhat pinning the upper blade that's out of the water, or I guess keeping it from sliding too far. Starting with my body extremely low, head crooked into my bicep and forehead almost on my deck, getting the kayak under the armpit during the roll, sliding the entire paddle powerfully and keeping it shallow just below the surface while trying to stay under it solved it. Thanks! STAY SALTY!
This time, the video is more like interactive and engaging due to two characters. Beautiful video that helps me very much as my learning process is more supported with visuals than verbal communication.
Was going through the video again today and noticed one thing. After the recovery, even though the paddle is in catch position on the left side, the first stroke is taken on the right side. It’s a right side recovery but is there any specific reason why all paddlers in the real video portions end up taking the first stroke after recovery on the right side? Is it probably for bracing + forward stroke?
Thank you. Your point is correct. This is because I use a sweep recovery after the roll just to be safe. The first catch of paddling can be whatever you are comfortable with.
Fantastic illustrations!
Thank you!

Question: What are skin on frame kayaks made from today?
Most of the time nylon but canvas or pvc is possible a well.
Amazing! one more thumb up too!
Is it possible with flat paddle?
What do you mean? Greenland paddles are almost flat. If you meaned that about an European paddle, I will to say "Yes".
nice.. this one is easier and with the lower right arm it's safer for the right shoulder than the previous post which was above the shoulder
놀랍습니다. 이번주말에 시도 해봐야겠습니다.
Good, good!
