  • In today's acrylic landscape painting tutorial we paint a calm summer pathway with beautiful warm light streaming over our rock wall, wooden door and voluminous foliage. This relaxing painting tutorial is completed for the most part in real time and will cover the step by step process of how to paint trees, foliage, sunlight, stone, rock texture, a doorway. grass and of course how we put all of those elements together into a cohesive landscape painting.

    First off I’m over the moon excited to see another acrylic artist doing realism and not using oils. I’m kind of determined to show the world that amazing realism can be achieved with acrylics. Gorgeous work and I know you’ve had people commenting on the filming and angles, so I won’t add to that. It’s all a journey and I’m here to watch it unfold.

    I thought the videography was excellent. The effort shows. The amount of work involved in the camera work and editing had to be enormous, many times more than actual painting time.

      Big thank you for the support! This style of recording certainly requires a lot of extra time (and love) but we really feel the extra effort is worth it. Having a lot of fun with the additional artistry and it lets me focus more on the painting, which I think is rendering better pieces as a whole. Thanks again for the kindness!

    Why you one of the 🥰 cutest thang I ever seen, said with a Southern accent. I really appreciate you and your channel. Don't worry I'm a good old lady who's painting a lot in my retirement. I do you, Bob Ross and Angela Anderson and Colors by Felix. I'm hoping to start a channel so myself.

    Thank you for this! I've been busy remodeling my home and have gotten away from painting. You've inspired me to pick my brushes back up because I love painting. It's my happy place. Thank you for reminding me with this lovely piece! Many blessings!

      Oh, I hope remodeling is going well! That in itself can be wonderfully creative and artistic. That said, very happy to hear that the brush is back in hand and that you're enjoying the process again. Happy painting!

    So hard to put the brush down!
    I've been watching Ryan on and off for years ❤
    I love how easily he explains his steps and thought processes. His calm voice adds to the experience. But wow,
    I am blown away by how much his artistic skill has drastically increased to gorgeous pieces like beauty.
    I love this piece so much

    Ive been to this door. It was spring going into summer. Pathways draw me down their roads and to their doors. Once in a dream i drove for what seemed like over two hours into an ice tunnel that went deep into the mountain. Everything was frozen. At the end was a door . A huge frozen door. I knocked and the person who answered looked like me. She seemed trapped and was holding an infant. I had a conversation with her while she seemed to be fearful of someone else hearing us. I planned to rescue her as i woke... Anyway Thank you for this excellent demonstration. I will use what you have taught here...

    • @I-warn-you
      @I-warn-you 25 дней назад +1

      You can simply paint it in oil paints.🤔
      Also I think there are enough artists on YT who paint with oils. Hardly anyone here demonstrates the art of painting radiant paintings with acrylics.

      @@I-warn-youthat’s true but i like Ryan’s tutorials the best . Trust me I’ve seen a lot of em . And i tried one of his in oils .its not the same . I’m just requesting for a video or two on oils if he uses them

    • @Gregs_sis
      @Gregs_sis 25 дней назад

      @@I-warn-you it's alittle but of a different process with oils so it would be better if he used oils in the tutorial himself though they can be expensive so one wont get a perfect match in quality unless they have a big budget. so it's not perfect for both side

      While I adore oils I don't know that this channel is the best place for them, however, later this fall there may be a new channel where you can watch some oil pieces come together ;)

    It is a beautiful painting very lovely but this new technique of the camera positions, I do find harder to follow along and see what you're doing. I'm no longer looking from your viewpoint I'm often in some angle somewhere and I can't quite see the technique you're using or exactly how you're mixing your paint. I'm sorry I do not need to complain. The original reason why I watched your videos was because it was more of a lesson than an artistic viewpoint of your camera. I know it was a pain in the ass for you to do it the way you had done it in the past cuz you were looking through a viewfinder trying to do something so much harder then the audience knows. And I'm sorry especially when you've got all these other compliments and how beautiful the pain is and it is I'm just having a harder time following I guess that's just me I'm sorry

      Hey there Andrea! Thank you for the kind words on the painting and how you approached your thoughts here, it means a lot! We've actually talked a great deal about how to make the lessons easier to follow with the new filming techniques and I think you'll find the next one a lot easier to follow along with. We're making the clips longer, as well as doing more wide shots so you can see where areas are in relation to others. While we're still figuring out this format, it's just going to get better and better 😊
