  • In this video I continue where I left off in the previous video of restoring a early 1900's Millers Falls miter box. I am doing a step by step process of restoring the saw blade and handle.

    It’s shiney! But how sharp is it?? How it looks is secondary to how it cuts! Do you sharpen your own?

      I did not sharpen the blade on the restoration. It cut fairly well. I don't have much experience with sharpening saws, but I am continuously trying to get better at it

      @@cannonwoodworking5917 sharpening a hand saw is becoming a lot art! Most modern saw have hardened teeth, with cheap plastic handles. They are throw aways once they become dull. The sharpening services in my small town doesn’t have anyone with the skills the sharpen a hand saw!!! I’ve had to teach myself, but struggle because I don’t do enough of it to get efficient! Your restoration is really nice! Great old tool!!
