      Alien Works I was watching the video again. I was wondering why before loosening the mud guard he loosens the pivot bolt for the rear fork assemble. When he does this it serves no purpose. You would do this if the left and right fork are independent of each other and you were going to remove the right fork only. This would allow the left wheel spindle ( red loctite) nut to left alone supporting the motor and wire by the left fork and because the wheel can be split you don't need to remove the brake caliper.

    I was able to take out the nuts on each side on my Wolf Warrior X by myself. Yeah it was a little tough but needed no help. Glad they didn't put as much loctite on my as they did in yours.

    This was instrumental in helping me. I have the mantis v2 from fluid freeride and even though there are some differences, it's about 90% the same.
    Thank you thank you thank you!

    Great job Calvin! The first part where you loosen the arms is really important. I know I didn't do this when I changed the Mantis tires and it was a pain getting things back on afterwards.

    Thanks so much for this video. I was struggling to get the wheel off and didn't realize I had to loosen the suspension parts. I have red loctite with me so I'll be sure to apply it sparingly.

    Hey guys! Thank you for a great vid!! One question... I upgraded to 3" street tires for the 2.5 that came with my new Kaabo Mantis Pro SE. The 3" tires came with inner tubes, which was nice. BUT, I'm curious... they came with 2.5 inch inner tubes. Is that the correct size? They seemed to fit well, and the scooter rides well currently, but I haven't had the chance to really put it to the test yet. (I'm in NYC and its just too crappy out on the roads right now to pop this cherry lol) I'd like to purchase spares for the obvious reasons. Just want to make sure I have the correct size on deck!

    • @AlienWorks
      @AlienWorks  3 года назад +1

      Inner tubes generally can swing a half inch in either direction so it should be totally fine assuming you inflate it to whatever the tire says, probably around 40 psi.

    Alien works do you know how to re wire this scooter after fitting upgraded pole ?

    • @AlienWorks
      @AlienWorks  3 года назад

      Oh so you need to run the wires through a new stem? It's possible, but it may take a bit of disconnecting wires that go into the deck, and maybe even re-soldering. Where are you located? We can also do this work in the SF Bay Area for you.

  • @xyzyyz
    @xyzyyz 3 года назад +3

    Your mech is kinda rough on paint huh. He didn’t mark where the valve was located in regards to the tire. If there had still been what ever punctured the tube in the first place still in the tire it would have wrecked the new tube and he wouldn’t have known where it was in the tire. He should have filled the tire first with air to verify the repair. Let the air out and then slime and refill after the wheel is reinstalled. Awesome video but you need a better mech.

    • @microsoft1665

      i got it to a bicycle repairman. he finally got to split the rim. it was really really stuck. that was the issue.
      we split it by hammering a bit in between with a flat screwdriver.
