    Had my first flat and tube change about 2 weeks ago on my 40mph Vicesat VSO4. I was relieved when i found out it was a split rim!

    Thank you for this extremely helpful video. i just got a flat on my barely month old Mantis King GT with PMT's. I know my other scooter (Niu KQi3 max) requires entire deck disassembly just to remove the rear wheel and id rather sell the scooter than deal with that mess

    Thats a neat design choice they made there. However still looks anoying to have to do in the field. There's a reason I always slime or equivalent my bike tires, tube or tubless. There's nothing better than changeing out worn tires for new ones and finding a dozen spots on the tube tallying the times you were not stuck doing a road side tire change.

    Hey brother, great content as always. Was wondering if you had a good plug for the inner tubes? I get conflicting information, whether its 10" x 2.125" or 2.5". I'd imagine I will run into problems if I a cheap or wrong spec tube. Thanks for the content and any help!

    Nice video walk-through. I found it helpful. My mantis is brand new and the brakes on it are a little grabby and almost “too much.” I already adjusted the E-ABS assist in advanced settings to “level 1” in all five gears. They are still pretty grabby, even when I barely touch them. How are your brakes?

    Why do you have the zip tie
    on the back swing arm? Is it because the brake cable is hitting the rear disk brake screws?

  • @pevns
    @pevns Год назад +1

    thats sick. i hate changing tyres on the wolf x, the front motor cable rubs against the rotor bolts + the motor cable going through the wheel means you can't even change your rotor without opening the deck and disconnecting the phase wires/motor cable to completely remove the wheel...... i will never understand this. my next scooter, plug and play motor cables are on the list haha. cheers bruh

    • @ScootaGang

      It's crazy to me that the mantis has been this smart for years and yet almost no other brands will just copy that exact motor setup. Saving time should be in every manufacturers best interests

  • @5T3V3NB

    This is far from the experience I have when changing tubes on my MKGT motors.
    There's no chance of getting the tyre off either the motor side or the split rim itself without some watered down dishwashing liquid & some MTB tyre levers... its just THAT tight.

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang Год назад +3

      Yeah split rim is the best. But even on my Vsetts the motor wire is on the wrong side and it doesn’t split easily like this. It still requires entering the deck and completely freeing up the motor wire.

    Thanks for the helpful info. I am considering this scooter and wondering which tires to go with - the street tires that you have or the knobby off-road tires. My riding will be combination street and trail, but i expect the trails will not be too gnarly or steep. I'm leaning towards the street tire for smooth and more quiet rides on the paved surfaces, while having some level of traction for packed trails. Do you like these tires and would you recommend them?

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang 6 месяцев назад

      Yeah these PMT tires are the best grip and smoothest ride. Most of the other tires available are made of nylon instead of rubber and they last about half as long as the PMT.

      @@ScootaGang Thanks! I watched your other video comparing to Vsett 10+ (before you fixed the suspension looseness) and I am wondering if fixing the loose suspension made the ride more stable and feel better? With the tightened suspension and PMT tires, does it upgrade your opinion of this scooter? Hopefully Kaabo will take care of this on the ones they are building now, but even if they don't, you have provided a solution.

    Didn't work. Must have skipped a step. Was not able to get the tire/rim removed from the motor? I took out all the screws, still wouldn't come off. Used literally all my strength. Did you loosen screws on the opposite side of the rim too?

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang Год назад +2

      Personally, I think Mukuta is the move now and I heard RevRides might be carrying them soon. I think Vsett is better then mantis in ride quality, but I think the Mukuta is fantastic and is the new updated version of the Vsett 10+. At this point I think they are all easily good enough to recommend, so it comes down to your personal preferences for styling etc.
      The one thing about Vsett is that it has a massive facebook group with extremely good info, lots of aftermarket parts etc, and so the whole community behind it helps make it that much better.
      Here's my mantis review:

I bought a Ninebot Max G30 and after that I was like I need suspension and some speed so I pre ordered the Splach Titan which looks very promising goes about 37mph but I intend on using scooters very frequently for Uber eats so I thought perhaps I’d get one more Scooter so I can go out more and after you telling me this I’m just gonna wait for them to add the Mukata to Revrides. Appreciate your help 👍 Btw I watch your videos everyday you one of greats that have convinced me to get a super scooter 🛵

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang Год назад +2

      If you using the same 10x3 PMT tires then I recommend 10 x 2.5 tubes. You can use all the way down to 10 x 2 if that's all you have, but the tube will be stretched more and likely won't last as long as the wider tube. Also make sure you coat the tube and inner tire with baby powder to reduce friction, your tubes will last longer!

    • @Eladilevi
