    ABOUT THIS VIDEO
    The G/FORE G/18 golf shoes are the newest model from G/FORE. They're a super comfortable spikeless golf shoe that's like a more fashion forward version of their MG4+ golf shoes. But are they worth buying? In this G/FORE G/18 review I cover all the pros and cons to help you decide if these shoes are for you. I also compare to other G/FORE models like the Gallivanter, Gallivan2r, MG4+, and MG4x2.

    I agree that once you get some G4's you are pretty much hooked. I have gallivanter in each color, and a pair of MG4. I recently just strayed away and bought some True shoes (the knit ones) because I thought something super light and comfy would be nice and they are just terribly disappointing vs my G4's.
    Probably gonna give these new ones a try. I do where out that corner part of the toe with all of my golf shoes, so I'm really interested to see how that part performs.

    Hi I had one more question. I’ve had a really hard time finding a golf
    Shoe that works for me. I can’t wear spikes because they don’t allow any movement or give in my feet and tear up my knees. I was debating between the Ecco C4s, Ecco LT1s, of these new G18. I read many people saying the Ecco’s get filthy really easy in the toe area and are very hard to clean. I also read the C4s are like ice skates on firm ground and wear i play is firm and dry right now. Does the G18 have better grip than the C4s? Also I can’t wear a narrow shoe as I have metatarsalgia in my left foot which is very painful. So I can’t wear a shoe that squeezes my foot but I also don’t want something where my foot sliding all around inside during my swing. Based on what I said which of these three shoes would you recommend for me between the C4, LT1 and GFore G18? Thanks so much

      Yeah the Ecco C4s have an incredible soft, comfortable leather. BUT, because of that it is a little bit harder to clean and shows dirt more than the G/FOREs in my experience. The Eccos I feel like have a sole that feels like harder plastic, so durability is strong, it doesn't grab the turf quite as much. So I could see where someone might have an issue with really firm surfaces. That said, I've played probably 100 rounds in the C4, and I've had very minimal issues with traction.
      Based on what you've said with your issues, I'd consider giving the G/18s a shot. Your foot shouldn't be sliding around at all, but should hopefully give you just enough room to be comfortable. Traction gets the slight edge with the G/18 and, it will certainly be easier to keep clean - minus the clear gum sole, which will likely yellow over time. Hope that helps!

    Ecco not a durable shoe git sone Biom H4’s they literally scuffed up after 4 or 5 wears they looked 2 yrs old . Don’t touch them - Gfore way better shoe - love the look of the Gallivanter2R nice review 👍

    I have every G/Fore shoe so naturally want to get these. However, I found that my foot slide a little in the MG4+ where they don’t with any of the others. Do you think the wider toe box might create the same issue here?

    • @breakingeighty
      @breakingeighty  14 дней назад

      They might? I haven't experienced that personally with the MG4+ though, and and haven't with the G/18s. But your foot could be a different shape than mine.
      Sounds like you might already have them, but if this were an issue for you, I'd probably lean towards the Gallivan2rs, which definitely feel more snug than the MG4s while still giving the comfort of a spikeless shoe.

      @@breakingeighty I do thanks! Those and the true lux hybrids have been my go tos this year.

    Do these breathe well in hot summer? I saw the MG4 before and this looks like the same material and I can’t see how these breathe. Did you find them to be hot?

      I walked 18 holes in 80ish degree weather, and was totally fine. They're definitely not as breathable as many other models out there. But I've never really found this to be that big of a deal for me. I'll take waterproofness and stability over breathability - but that's personal preference. If that's a major concern for you, I'd probably look at other brands - as most G/FORE models aren't as breathable as say many Ecco, TRUE, or others.

    G/Fore G18 more comfortable to wear than Ecco golf shoes? Particularly the Ecco Biom C4?

    • @breakingeighty
      @breakingeighty  15 дней назад +2

      No, the Biom C4 is still the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn. BUT, we're talking about two top-tier extremely comfortable shoes. So I dont think that should be the primary decision factor here. They both feel great, so I'd go for the brand/styling you resonate with most.

    As far as the Ecco shoe comments are concerned, IMO over the past few years Ecco’s aren’t as comfortable as they were in the past. Might just be me, but they once were an elite shoe, and now I don’t find them to be as such.
