I’ll never forget my 1988 flaxen yellow Volvo 240Dl wagon, 800$ was I paid for it and it had over 386 thousand miles when a Mercedes driver turned it into a sandwich, his car flipped over ours was fine still running after the wack. There amazing cars and they will never disappear!

I think these 240s are under valued. Especially a 240 that has been well maintained and has some factory goodies, like tachometer, manual transmission, and alloy wheels. I remember trying to sell my 240 (manual trans, sedan) on eBay I got just 1 scammer bid at the end of the auction, and then trying to sell it on Craigslist and getting a single offer for $800. I've since done a lot of the same maintenance and repairs and upgrades that you have, and to me, it is just a great car to drive. Not many other classics out there you can turn the key and drive any time reliably with 200k miles. Keep up the good work, Renegade.

Thanks man, I will! These cars are great fun to drive and own...not hard to work on and you can do some cool mods to them. I might be currently looking at some mods for a clean slate one... *spoilers*

The funny thing is my daily driver 93 240 sedans previous owners first name was Lucile I normally don’t name a car by it’s previous owners name but hey?

I name vehicles by what just feels right: Lucille (after Lucille Ball and B.B. King's guitar) is classy but has some unexpected attitude. Xj600 named Mercy after she took off on me after clearing some gunk in the system (it's what I said in the moment; "Have Mercy". R6 named Raven after the colorscheme and her having a dark past (the red "gem" in the "forehead" doesn't hurt either"... I guess it's all about what you want and like
