when super hang on soundtrack is way more serious than now a days need for speed electronic beats.. i like that, focus, serious, as we see right at the first track of this playlist. back then racing games wanted you to feel the race. today they want to impress you with visual effects and electronic beats.. damn

The early Mega Drive games never used DAC drums, only FM drums. I believe Yuzo Koshiro was the first to sample drums on the Mega Drive in The Revenge Of Shinobi.

In the early games from 1988-1989 the DAC channel was used primarily for voice sampling.
I liked the early Genesis games from 1988-1989 better in terms of music, but I also like the samples done by Koshiro as well.
