    Such a great piece of kit. I absolutely love this bag!
    I used to travel with a first aid kit built upon this bag from 2011 to 2013 doing piracy prevention in the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean. Luckily I never had to use any of the stuff in the bag in a SHTF scenario, but I did put it to good use during lots of training scenarios and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. I actually went into our company’s old storage today and snatched one of these bags for myself today - going to refill it with equipment and put it in my car.
    Thanks for the video - keep up the good work!

    Had the bag going on 6 years and carry it every day. Great size, holds a lot of supplies.

    SkinnyMedic, as of now, we are taping all four sides on the chest seals. TCCC has had that in place for a while, but i haven't herd about civilian side.

    I love the bag, but obviously a couple things in that kit I could do without but I guess in a SHTF situation if someone knew how to use that stuff its good to have if they dont have it. It would be nice though if more places offered like an basic and advanced kit and took some of that stuff out but left the other more basic first aid stuff.

    where do yo ukeep the bvm. stethescoep, bp cuffs and triangle bandages and ACEstyle bandages and eye wash

    • @theillustrateddad1066

      I have put all my vitals in the pouch the BP comes in and put them in the middle replacing an Olaes. The BVM tucked in another slot. As I usually have a TCCC pouch on my front if find I can spare the room. The stethoscope folded on the outside. You can also do an external pouch on the molle.

    Skinnymedic, I apologize and don't mean to hijack the comments but I have a question.
    What do you do if you have arterial bleed in the pelvic or shoulder area, that would require wound packing and the wound channel is too small for your finger with gauze to fit?
    Force it, use a pencil or pen, I don't know. I guess an example would be, a 22LR wound channel seems like it would be so much smaller than my finger.
    Thank you

      I have an acquaintance who carries the main body of a pen (with the actual ink, etc) removed and uses that to pack wounds. You definitely wouldn't use a pencil or anything else that has the potential of small pieces breaking away into the wound.

    So is the petroleum gauze just a cost saving measure over a Hyfin chest seal or similar, or are there other reasons to carry it.

    • @grouch314
      @grouch314 5 лет назад

      I think cost is the main reason but also if you aren't qualified on chest seals, petroleum gauze is an improvised treatment so there's less chance of you getting sued theoretically

    • @Elmer_RedEagle
      @Elmer_RedEagle 5 лет назад

      It also has more uses then a chest seal, and a chest seal isn't that expensive to add.

    Can we use the NPA if it's shorter or longer and do we need to measure the size?

    • @charlesshelton8933
      @charlesshelton8933 4 года назад

      If the NPA is to long you can cut it down. Just make sure you leave an angle at the end

    What about AED ? Maybe for emergency or bugout situations ?

    • @jackchung1010
      @jackchung1010 5 лет назад

      AED’s are extremely expensive. In an emergency bug out situation, often the patient will be too far gone to save using whatever is available in a bug out situation. It just isn’t practical.

      @toma2281 5 лет назад

      I wouldn't. Leave it to professional responders. If you're concerned, you can just place your hands or knees beside the person's head to remind them not to move it. Ambulance services up to date with current evidence based practice stay away from stiff collars as well.
