@@charleswharmbyiii8401 Yeah, I think it's overkill now - almost distracting. Somewhat overpowers Dany's vocals, which is the real star of this cover, imo.
When Dany sings, she becomes the song. I saw them 6 times in the last 2 months. They have far become my favorite band of all time in my 57 years on this planet🤘⚡
Pau has over the years often mouthed the words to keep herself on time. They performed this in front of an audience a few days ago at a charity event. Sadly only fan cams for now.
It's all about the personalities. They are magical! The bass was pretty well balanced in the original but was only really easy to hear in good headphones or a decent sound system. This boosts it so we can all hear Ales silky bass rendition. Oh, and, yes, the original song had most of that bass part.
Hadn't seen a reaction by you in awhile. - forgot how sweet you are. Yes the enhanced bass is purdy cool. I like how you caught Dany's facial expression dynamics - I hadn't noticed that. Fun reaction! ⚡️💙🤘
Another amazing performance from Dany and her vocals and her axe playing .Ale slayed on the bass. And Paulina also sounding great and looking so chill in the box and yes she does lipsync along even when not singing to help her keep the beat .Great reaction .
The cover I didn't know I needed, with the bass that I know I needed. Ale's bass lines are so amazing - they really shine better when they're brought more to the front.
Even that part when Dany did smile, she was singing, "And every time I scratch my nails down someone else's back...." It was basically Dany (or Dany's character) smiling in revenge. I swear, I love the way Dany gets so into her songs! Her acting is off the charts.
I love the bass myself. and also learning to play a bit. Ale makes it look so easy like she could do this sound asleep. all 3 of them make it look easy. and Danny's vocals seem like they get better every time she sings. and I think she was great from the very beginning.
Thank you Flowers for choosing this one...Ale's jazz Bass skills are on full display, and did she ever kill this one. Those Jazz bass lessons from back when she was 10 with Pablo Gonzalez Sarre (great Jazz bass player and friend of Luis Villarreal ) certainly paid off big time. Heard she still warms up and practices jazz bass licks. She is incredible. Dany's vocals were ridiculously phenomenal and Pau incognito in the box looking like "Trinity" from the Matrix just chilling out doing what she does. Cheers. BTW, this is Pau's favorite "breakup" song...
Love the enhanced bass - THANK YOU! It was the biggest issue I had with this cover, that Ale's bass was too quiet. So much better now! Also, the original bass line was recorded by Flea, and was also funky, but Ale has FUNKED this up nicely!
This is so good. Awesome using Don-Music version too. For reference the original was Alanis vocals, and Flea and Dave Navarro on Bass and guitar of The Red Hot Chili Peppers and the touring drummer was the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters. So Dany is doing both Alanis and Dave's parts flawlessly.
Great reaction. Pau looking cool like a spy/model from a 1960s 007 movie. Great cover, they all nailed it and made it look effortless. Can’t wait to see which ones you do next. Your description of Ale floating like a bubble, a bass playing fairy. 😅😅❤
Yes: "The Bass-line is sublime!" Ale, a world-class Jazz Bassist playing Rock, modified it, infusing it with Jazz-based progressions inspired by Jazz Bassist Jaco Pastorius, widely considered the greatest Bassist. Jaco is the greatest influence on Ale (Ale played Jaco's catalog when she was 9). Flea, the original bassist, couldn't get the timing right so the bass-line had to be remastered/run through LA-2A compressor. Ale plays her modified, more complex Bass-line, as if it's nothing. (Ale's so chill, I fully expected her to drink a Pepsi and not miss a note). For those of us who understand and love Rock and Jazz, Ale's a wonder. I was stunned the first time I heard Ale play; she's remarkable. I hope this cover allows others to hear what I've heard for years. Thanks for the reaction!
Have you seen them on the red carpet at the EMA's? They all looked beautiful but Ale probably made even supermodels jealous that night. For me Dany takes the spotlight here, her voice just fits this song so naturally, however Ale is a very close second absolutely crushing Flea's bassline while contemplating about what she wants for dinner that night!
Great reaction and you are very observant! I agree Danny is just a bad ass with her amazing vocals and facial expression and Paulina looking like a "Men in Black" Woman back there and Ale is just like a cool calm assassin that just snipers stress!....Love these girls Love Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
These ladies can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned (apart from messing with the original lyrics a little😊). Dani's voice fits this song so well. Pau says "you can put me in a box but if I wear these glasses you WILL notice me. Ale does her usual "I might be the quiet one but I kill it on this bass".
AO! Amazing performances all round. That was a special 'character' smile she flashed. I think it said 'you won't get away from this back-scratching curse'. Her timing and expression and voice and... everything ... I've run out of keyboard. Does she act in films as well? More Warning coming! Yaaay! Thanks, wow!
This was interesting hearing the bass boost and it certainly showcased how good Ale is. However, for listening I think I like the original mix. Dany's guitar was a little harder to pick out in this version.
@ That is how I feel. It’s good to highlight Ale and appreciate her in this version. For overall listening I think I like the original mix. Nice job on the remix though. No doubt about that.
Oh, I have seen Dany smile at many songs. A good example is her starting Choke. She usually has such a big grin when singing "I won't survive the fall".
Love this song, this cover and your super entertaining reaction- you have a great little formula on doing these just right 😎. Up until now I’ve only watched your The Warning reactions but will start to delve into other bands you react to- you are that good 👍🏻! Loved the high praise you were giving to Ale’s bass groove and your cute subtle nod to Dany’s lyrics change 😉. Keep up the great work, lotsa fun 🤩!
Thank you SO MUCH for the super thanks and your kind and encouraging words! I really hope you enjoy some of the other artists I've reacted to, many of them are truly phenomenal and deserve more fans :D
@@SDsailor7 Thanks, I will. I came here for the Rush reactions, but always happy to discover new stuff - well, stuff new to me, anyway. I'll have a look at the video you mentioned.
@markfletton5901 Some people have compared them to Rush just for the fact that they are a power trio. The drummer Paulina's idol is Neil Peart, she got the opportunity to play his kit at Modern drummer's Wherehouse were they have other famous drummers sets. Video available. She won the Modern drummer magazine website best up and coming Rock drummer in 2023 and in the same year she was awarded the Drumeo award for best Rock drummer of 2023
Some people complain that Ale's bass gets lost in the mix, but as a rule Ale has a penchant to blend her part so that it isn't sticking out like a sore thumb. She understands that less is more because she's an accomplished, professional bassist. I'm reminded of the halcyon days when I would listen to music played through other people's stereos with the treble turned down and the bass turned up, which was problematic, shall we say.
Another commenter somewhere said that "they put Pau in the box for the safety of all the bystanders" 😆😆😆 This was recorded in a relatively small room with glass walls which is really hard to get a good mix out of. Hence why the drum kit is behind the plexiglass. But the ladies KILLED this cover.
Sorry, but I must say that I don't find that "joke" very funny. The idea that Pau is somehow dangerous and scary is just insulting. The rest of your comment was very good and informative though. 🙂
Their songwriting, musicianship, professionalism, talents, passion, charisma, and their extraordinary sibling dynamic, all blend their magic to make these young women a phenomenon that's going to rock the planet. Another amazing Warning video, it’s a shame though that your Patreons don’t seem to have the same enthusiasm for Lovebites who you seem to have never gone back to after Holy War. Good channel but there is just something missing (5 girls in prom dresses burning our faces off is probably it)
@SBRemotes I can agree that they aren't afraid to use the word. In Consume, it's a descriper of the person. In this it's an act stated crudely. This and the "go down on him in a theatre" line aren't necessary to convey the angst. The song tells the story succinctly already. Not being written by them they don't need to fully 100% express every detail Alanis intended. It's a showcase of what they can do outside of their norm and a chance to play a very fun song.

Thank you Don for enhancing one of the best Bass players on the planet...at just 19 years old!! She is incredible.
Ale is 20 next month!
Great job on that Bass stuff!
The bass enhancement was great. Nothing over the top, spot on.
Dany is a remarkable storyteller with her facial expression. She shows us what the song is all about.
Ale and Pau in studio mode, while Dany is always performing, even if only for a camera. 😎👍
Bass guitar playing Fairy! YES! Perfect description! Sublime and magical!
I love the enhanced bass. Ale deserves all the flowers she can get
That would be a nice touch at one of their concerts to receive flowers at the end of the concert from their fans.
Enhancing was completely unnecessary. She did a fine job, and the mix on their recording was perfect.
@@charleswharmbyiii8401 Yeah, I think it's overkill now - almost distracting. Somewhat overpowers Dany's vocals, which is the real star of this cover, imo.
