I'm starting a new job soon at a bottling plant. The job im leaving was my first maintenance job and got a $30,000 pay increase at the new gig, and I've only done this kind of work for a little over a year. Keep pushing and stay ambitious brother 💪

I left a job and they had to bring me back because the guy they promoted to take it had no clue how to do it. They paid me three week's of my old salary for two days of work. I showed the new guy how I did what needed to be done, but he paid no attention and couldn't do it the following month when that part of the job had to be done again, so they paid me another three weeks' salary for two more days of work. Then it happened a third time. Nine weeks' pay for six days of work was a pretty good deal.

Congrats on the new job Dan. Electric diag could be pretty cool hopefully you wouldn’t bump into an intermittent problem. I had one on my 99 Dodge that took me a week and a big mistake to figure out you could be driving along down the highway motor would just die for no apparent reason and get a No BuS message on the odometer checked a bunch of sensors and their connections and chased the “twisted pair” from the ECM to inside the cab back probed the ECM plugs and found one ground that was missing I believe it was one it made I was also probing the TPS at is 5v reference well I accidentally bumped the wire I had connected to my T pin to the hot side of the battery and punched the ECM in the face with 12v on that 5v line and released the magic smoke from with in at the time I didn’t realize I was diagnosing a intermittent ECM Failure
I have to say, that being an automation engineer is amazing. As it is what I do as well. Starting off in industrial Electrician, and knowing before hand software engineering. It was a natural progression. And everything I do, is like playtime to me.

Congratulations brother very inspirational I’m about to start my journey into the trade here at the end of august once I finish my electrical industrial maintenance program at new castle school of trades. As a new technician I’d love to see more classroom type videos maybe on certain common things you run across in the industry or just plain old refreshers. I personally am so nervous to graduate and start working in the trade because I feel like while I have managed to get great grades and understand my classes while we’re currently doing them, that once I leave here I will not remember or retain the information I learned. What I lack in memory though I try to make up for in resourcefulness and my ability to research and know where and how to find the answers to my problems. Best of luck in your future endeavors can’t wait for more content from you brother

Ok so1st of all for the "I quit" on the video, I'm out. 2ndly, I take a grain of pepper instead of salt. And 3rd, don't worry about us man, we enjoy stuff you put out. BTW, you mentioned a generator and I too snagged a broke down deal, but a question. How would you go about testing the output to know if it would be worth fixing or just plain scrapping? Maybe a video or if you want I can share more in email if ya like. Let me know! Thanks for the vid as always!
No way to test the output unless it’s running. So either way it will take some effort to test
