    Just accepted an offer to work as a Logistics Specialist at Schofield Barracks GS11 Step 10 plus 10.28 cola pay... Moving from NYC this December🤙 USAjobs has a ton of well paying Gov jobs listed. All of the jobs you mentioned don't pay much and prefer to hire local people. HPD average salary is 65k a year.
    80% of Hawaii RNs earn between $70,090 and $134,660 a year.

    Ryan Strong 💪🏼- thanks for your content! Weird Question : is the tap water clean to drink or it is filtered? Name of the company servicing water? It’s each island or sub cities? How much you pay?/ pge is company for our energy how about Honolulu who services pge? How much per kilowat ?

    • @LIVINGINHAWAII808
      @LIVINGINHAWAII808  2 года назад

      That’s a lot packed into 1 comment.
      The tap water has been deemed by board of water supply as suitable for consumption. That being said a lot of people drink filtered water, bottled water or have the big 5 gallon jugs and a dispenser which is what I have at home.
      I made a cost of living video showing my electric bill at that time and I go over some of these items. My most recent electric bill is over $500.

    Im a journeyman electrician. With 10 years experience and currently I’m a union electrician. Is the union trade strong in Hawaii or the electrical field pay is good there for living?
    Also my experience is all over from residential to commercial. But now I work in the industrial field with high voltage like substation and power distribution

      I would look into HECO and see if they have anything open and what it pays. They basically have the market monopolized.

    I certainly went to McDonalds a franchise in Ohio. Been there 23 years looking to retire in the next 10 to 15. Want to live out my retirement years in Hawaii, specifically Waikiki area cuz the hustle and bustle may consider moving out there early and continuing my management career with McDonald's out there until I retire. What would you recommend?

    Ryan - I’m a respiratory therapist working at Kaiser but I haven’t seen my job here in Cali in Hawaii so I may find a diff hospital. Which hospital do you think is best to apply for why? And my specialty is neonatal labor delivery I move in feb 2022. I have 11 yrs experience , I did some adults but rather do baby. I have pediatric exp and I’m currently an assistant manager for kAiser I have bachelors business healthcare admin and associate in respiratory. Been looking and it shows annual income is about 10-20k less is this true? Vs Cali I thought Hawaii cost of living was more there. I’m having hard time finding job right now maybe it’s too early. Thank you fir your service !! I want to go to nursing too 😁

      I just Googled “respiratory therapist positions Oahu” and found openings for Kaiser, Queens and several others. I’m not 100% sure about the pay. It will vary but that’s something you would have to talk to the employer about in your interview. Thank you for your support 🇺🇸

      @@mahreel6585 Hickam AFB is officially joined with Pearl Harbor Navy Base, so now it's called "Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam" (abbreviated JBPHH). They have always been right next to each other anyway. Oahu is the name of the entire island, of which Pearl Harbor is a small part. Oahu is only about 44 miles by 30 miles. So nothing here is "far" by California standards. But things get "relative". Here, we feel that 1-hour-away is REALLY FAR ! : )

    The State government of Hawaii is more tyrannical than even New York and California. You Hawaii residents are under the foot of some very oppressive laws that significantly effect freedom & liberty is am extremely negative way. Some of the worsed laws there are the gun, knife, drug, gambling, etc. laws. I go to Maui for vacation often but I'd never in a million years live in that state amd i in fact am planning to start going to southern Florida for my tropical vacations instead. Florida is much more supportive of freedom. It also isn't extremely isolated (which is bad if a large statewide disaster occurs) and my USD goes way further than it does in Hawaii.
