Wow. They called it "shell company" ... these people aren't even trying to cover their tracks for their crimes.

It's a crime to own your property and rent it out without the city's permission?

Too cheap on the fines. How much is one unit of rent. Should include rent return for period of not complying to safety and health complaints or lack of lighting heat or air.

I BELIEVE these fines are like telling them your fine is 25 c then 60c an 90c if it were up to me you get 2 stern warnings the 3 time the property seized
meaning you no longer own that property it is now city property and they can sell it and the money goes in the cities bank account i don't believe in
dragging my feet with these slum landlords if you know he lives in the riches part of town and his property is a run down shack

There really is a lot of apartment buildings like wheel house apartments who are hired to manage and raise rents ridiculous with no maintenance and no communication at all that's the problem

Great idea…let squatters live for free…but give them Covid $$..raise property taxes, insurance, now hit them with this.

Making things harder and harder on property owners hasn't worked out so well in pretty much every other Liberal community in the country. Why does Denver think it will work here?

    Steeper fines may give results...

Imagine if you got a squater and get hit with 50k bill when you didn't even rent it out LOL
But seriously imagine renting and thinking this will fix their issues, instead they probably get evicted LOL
