Awesome video Mr. Jon as always. Soft 99 Fusso Coat is by far the best solution for winter on a vehicle with it's superior durability and resistance to both chemicals and also rejecting road grime, dirt, road salts and chemicals that melt snow which are caustic to paint. The GLACO line is also a great, easy to use glass compounding/coating system for a reasonable price. I love everything that Soft 99 makes. I love waxing my vehicles so Soft 99 has been my go to waxes for quite some time, especially Fusso Coat which will always have a place in my detailing arsenal. I use it as a base layer on both my paint and especially on my rims. Then I top it with other products. Anything from Soft 99 will offer you great protection for the winter time making your winter detail sessions a much more pleasant experience as washing will be a little easier.
Thanks Joe ive just literally prep'd the car again here in the UK with fusso and glaco ultra. And yer you really notice for the first 2-3 washes the dirt peel. if you top it every few washes with fusso booster the beading stays like day 1. Its as good as anything non ceramic out there really. And its all going to be half price again this year so the fusso tin will be 15 pounds. the booster will be like 7 pounds the ultra will be 8 pounds.
Hi John. While I've been a fusso user for 10+ years I thought I would throw another one in the mix. Soft99 waterblock. You get alot more for your money, easier to use and just as hydrophobic. Yes not as durable but who doesn't enjoy a waxing often more than leaving a build up on the car. I always do two coats as it's proven to me lasting longer. I drive 80 miles per day down the M1 and it shows doing two coats with fusso has better benefits. Soft99 waterblock is excellent but thought I would give this a try for winter protection on my own car and see how it goes. Normally I use this on clients cars as I don't want to use my fusso 'original' version. It means too much to me 😂
Soft99 is my all time favourite brand for car cleaning l, I’m a huge JDM fan so that helps but I love all of their products, been using them for years. Currently have Fusso protection on my Silvia
Im currently rocking fusso coat on my Porsche Macan S . Topped with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and Sonax BSD , used as a drying aid . The beading is insane . An old school pairing that still does the business 😊
So many ppl suggest this combo and i have to say, it’s almost magical Also, bsd might not be the slickest dry, but when panel is lightly misted or wet (qd or after a wash) the feel under the towel is PHENOMENAL!
I'm trying Turtle Wax Seal 'n' Shine at the moment. I use it on the windscreen too. Works best by claying the car first but seems good and lasting so far. Also use TW Car wash too and a weak solution in a spray bottle makes the best clay lubricant I have used, much better than detailing spray and my fingers don't get coated in clay either. All of these processes take less time than you would think too.
Not tried Glaco Ultra, but i use DX. It says 3-4 months and i get about that. It's still highly entertaining to get to 40mph and then turn off the wipers! Love it!
Nice tips as always! I wonder if I could top up an existing ceramic coating with fusso coat or is that a waste of time and work? Is it better to stick with Gyeon wet coat instead? Cheers from Sweden
@@billionbear not just the first time. 3 times I’ve used it. I do all the prep and everything goes as he shows in the video but the next day there is a residue all the car and it’s a nightmare to remove. The only thing I can think is I’m using to much and working it to much I’ve idea how as you can barely see it go on. I’m going try a very light touch and 2 passes with the sponge. See that works. Oh and have 2 microfibres. polish it off with one then do it again with the second. The first will still have some of the wax on it so you won’t get it all off. I’m going to try everything this time. Sorry for the long reply.
Great video as always! Cheers :) Question: What do you use after the poslish to remove any remains before applying the wax? I just got new clay bar, this polish from Soft99 to do a hand polish and Silicone off also from Soft99 to remove any remains.
Nice video Jon and thanks to your videos, i now have the Soft99 Uktra, De Glaco, Fusso and Soeed & Barrier, I even have Mirror Shine for the summer months. All the best 👍.
Looks to be a great product but i see they do a dark and light, does it make that much of a difference what i get as will use it on 2 cars 1 lighter than the other but is the most important
Lucky for me i bought a new car recently, tomorrow its getting coated both bodywork, wheels and glass. Also interior is getting protection just before winter.
I've used the glaco dx a few times with the built in applicator and found it not as good as rainx with a machine polisher. I guess it's the polisher really scrubbing the windscreen and helping lay out a more even layer on the windscreen which is my best guess. So next time I'll try glaco dx with a machine and see how that goes
Ive seen many detainers ignore wax and go straight to ceramic sealant, is there an advantage to either? I’m getting confused with all the different products coming on to the market.
Hi Jon, can you still test Ultra Glaco on your test rig so we can get an unofficial benchmark on how it would have done in your glass sealant test? At least we can get the data for it too to help add it to the choice of others you tested. What do you think? Thanks
since ceramic coated my car I think my opinion of just doing a "chemical decon" with tar/bug remover and fallout has become something that actually pays great dividends compared to clay baring. also its a bit older now and just want to polish every 2 years +
Great informative video! I have a question: I've just purchased the Autoglym Polar range, including the Polar Seal. I normally like to use a wax like the Bilt Hamber Double Speed, and the Soft99 when I get it. Is it still worth using the Autoglym Polar Seal AFTER applying a wax, or would I get no benefit from it?
Another question.. how do clean the applicator pad (the one that comes with the FUSSO coat) afterwards? I used it once as per the instructions and didn’t care really about cleaning. Next time I used it it was full of wax flakes which was quite annoying to get rid of..
@ForensicDetailing thank you so much. In true Columbo stylee, just one more question. How to remove dried Fusso wax from the more porous feeling foam rubber door seals and sunroof surrounds? Please, beg, beg, grovel, grovel.
I couldn't help noticing how beady Fusso coat is when you spray water over it. In your opinion with the conditions you have, what is the most water repelling product you have ever used??
I applied Fusso around March (post winter cleanup), with chemical decon and cleaner. Now I washed, decon and applied Mirror Shine. I wanted something quicker to apply as it's getting much colder. Do you think that it makes sense? Can iron and tar decon break down the base Fusso and now I'm left with Mirror Shine on most of the car? Btw Mirror Shine look and beading is awesome, I don't regret it, but wonder about durability ;)
@@ForensicDetailing I know, just trying to limit number of products piling up (not an easy task ;)) So I want to get as good results I can with those that I already have

Will the wax enhance gloss or would I be just covering up the benefits of the ceramic coating? Thanks again for your work.
