I was there, all 3 nights, they were all incredible but I’m still processing it all. I know the chances are next to nothing but I pray I get to see the Master, David Gilmour, live, at least one more time before he hangs it up for good!

The Hollywood Bowl was built for David Gilmour and he was put on earth to perform there for us. I've seen many acts there over the years and this was the perfect union. Nothing like seeing the lasers shoot out of the dome over the crowds and into the surrounding hills. A thing of beauty.

David Gilmour is absolutely fantastic isn't he. What a beautiful guitar player. The solo he plays on this song is mind blowingly brilliant I think. The music he releases just gets better, and better, and better. What a wonderful artist.

Thank you for posting this. Was there this night. Rolling absolute balls I might add. I've got to say that this song might have been the highlight of the concert for me. His new album is fantastic and the songs blended perfectly with the classic floyd and oldsr solo stuff. And loved seeing Romany up on stage she is killing it. Genuindly think this is one of the best songs dg has ever been on and agree completely on the guitar solo absolutely god levsl

I was there on Halloween at the Hollywood bowl. It was a fabulous show. Luck and strange is a great album. His daughter is very talented. And together with the rest of the band put on an outstanding performance. 🎃🐈‍⬛😎

I was only five so never heard of Pink Floyd but many years later managed to get the September 1972 Bowl concert on vinyl. It's known in bootleg circuits as crackers. What an absolutely amazing show Dark side of the Moon live 6 months before they released it as an album

Curious about where this was filmed from. Pretty sure I can hear myself yell "woohoo" at the 6 minute mark when the lights come in.. My friend and I were sitting dead center basically there were little square sections with 4 chairs each we were the back two chairs and there was a walk way behind us. This view looks very close to where we were.
Sitting here watching this and fighting back tears. Best concert I've been to by far.
Ive got to say I felt like this and the comfortably numb solo were better on our nighty than the were on several of the earlier nights at both Hollywood bowl and royal Albert I have watched since. Seeing this video of our night confirm that! He was in rare form that night. Idk maybe I'm biased curious if anyone else thought that? I've read he was even better at the msg shows but haven't watched any of those yet. Wish I'd bought tickets to one of those now as well but was too late given this show was only our second night in LA. Would have Def bought tickets to another night in Hollywood bowl had this not been the last show there

From what I have seen and heard, yes he was even better in MSG. He is a musical force and anybody who does not put him in the top five guitarists of all time is crazy. I was at the hollywood bowl on the twenty ninth. Unforgettable, emotional experience!

@@davidhollingsed7756so glad to hear you had an incredible time at your show as well. I'm 39 years old and honestly I think seeing him (and the night out before and after the show) is in the top 5 best days of my life!
And I agree 100% wrt him being a top 5 on the guitar. He's my #1 and tbh it's not even close. There is nobody I've heard that is able to evoke the wide range and depth of emotion in me that he is able to with his playing and imo that is really what music is all about!

@DavidBM6 Three David's but I am the old guy. Saw him in 1975 first in LA for DarkSide and WYWH tour. Then 77 Animals in Anaheim Stadium, One of the original Wall shows at the sports arena in 1980...87 Momentary tour and 6 times for Division Bell at LA, Phoenix ,and Denver. I'm glad so many younger people are experiencing him before we all fade away. Gives me a lot of hope for the future in music just by knowing you guys appreciate it!

@@davidhollingsed7756 wow that is an incredible list of shows you have been to! Truly unbelievable. I've sat and wondered for several years now if there is anyone out there today that can march the level of talent that was out there in that time period. I was lucky enough to see Elton John a few years prior, but otherwise many of my favorite are no longer here or no longer performing. Nonetheless after seeing david Gilmour in person it has inspired me to see as many shows of current artists as I can, whether I'm super familiar with their music or not, so that one day I can look back and remember having those types of experiences. Admittedly there are some artists I have been lucky enough to see that I think are up there (although not to dg level even now let alone in whatever you would consider his prime) - Eminem, lady gaga, Chris Stapleton to name a few. So right now I've got about 40 browser tabs open searching out who is touring and have already bought tickets to a couple shows of artists I'm not overly familiar with (teddy swims and jelly roll... Don't think either are close to dg level but it's what's current availability to me)
Anyway just want to say in the same regard that "younger" guys like me still enjoying dg music warms your heart I wanted to say that it puts a smile on my face and makes me hopeful for my own future to hear of more experienced guys like yourself still having a blast right along with us! Wishing you the best my friend
