- Thirty people have been arrested in East Downtown Houston after breaking into and damaging a vacant strip mall that's up for sale. FOX 26's Sherman Desselle has more information after speaking with the property manager.

That train causes all sorts of problems including causing traffic jams by taking priority over private vehicles at lights. Anywhere there is an overpass is a haven for vagrants and the end of the road for a business that requires surface traffic to get customers. Only some kind of public building like a tax office or police station would work in that kind of location where the traffic passes by on the overpass without knowing what is on the surface street below.

Agreed. As a property owner I would be more than happy to have law enforcement move into my facility, with reduced rent or free, just to attract tenants and get rid of the criminal element.

If I had 3 million wrapped up in a property Ithe taxes paid in that community should be more than enough to pay police to ride by and check it out it's called patrolling. I agree the judges need changing myself but I am not blaming the police it's called criticism and every one needs to be able to handle some. But of course you got people who think you can only agree with them or your on the other side and the enemy . The reporter said broken into by mostly repeat offenders that were let out of jail by the city but the city wants to make the property owner clean up the vandalism cause by the repeat offenders they let out of jail. How about making the repeat offenders clean it up?

I don't feel sorry for him because he makes it too hard for businesses to rent space there. He wants to sell it since 2017. Maybe let small businesses occupy the space but he won't do it.
Sounds like he's been paying his taxes since 17 and unfortunately as the owner he can do what he wants and it's a tax right off for him . If he paid taxes the city is obligated to protect his property just like they protect your home. Maybe you and others should go to the city and ask more for your tax dollars or at least the basics it's supposed to cover . Not trying to start nothing with anyone just saying.
