I know this video is old and you'll probably miss this comment but :) in the parts of the cave of strong where you *have* to clear it and there are all those purlovias hidden... Just use rare flowers (on yourself, while riding the dino) and they will stop hiding and chase you, so you can kill them easily (works great in the tek cave too)

I loved the episode! You should give the Baby/Big Ugly a title after this adventure in the cave. Like "Big Ugly The Muncher" or "The Ninja Rex" or " The Ballet Dancer" it would looked great IMO. Also shouldn't you take 4 artifacts? 3 for the Dragon Boss fight and 1 more to make an artifact room like season 4 ?
Caving in 2019: Breed an entire army of dimorphodons, perfect armor, great guns, hopefully a teammate, and a good bit of luck. Caving in 2021: Put on ma flak and pokeball a rex, LE'SSGOOO!
I raised 20 imprinted Theriz with the S+ Nanny inside the snow cave only to fail spectacularly... (My saddles suck too) I am humbled by mere knockback range. Well done Phlinger. Next time I'll try bringing a Yuty or Allo.
I whooped up on the overseer for the first time a few days ago thanks to you phlinger!!Thank you buddy!!!!Also i would like a 'Suck It' tee shirt lol!!!
I test this cave using a breeded and 100% imprinted yuty, although the breeding line is crap in my case, 4.4kHealth and 252%Dmg, I manage to successfully complete the cave, gaining many lvls in the process ending up with 15kHealth and 701%DMG. The cave was relatively easy, purlovias posses no threat at all, the only danger was the polar bears for the damage and high health that almost kill my yuty twice, besides that the cave was pretty easy. The yuty is smaller and more maneuverable than the REX and turn the purlovias into dodos LOL. you should try next time.
Noob player here - first play through- and necro-posting. I died in that water spot where your Rex almost got stuck in the water. I was on a Yuty (Battle Chicken), and he survived. 3 attempts later with my Thyla, I was able to rescue my Yuty with a cryopod, but came SOOO close to freezing to death again each time. Now I’ve got to figure out how I’m going to survive that water to recover my corpse! There’s good stuff on my corpse! :(
Lol! I did it! Brought my otter, Thyla, Bary, and the Yuty! Swallowed a Lazarus stew, Calien soup, Fria curry, and Enduro stew before riding my Bary into the water to kill all the meanies. Then hopped off and grabbed my stuff (on the bottom, of course). Got 4 artifacts from the cave using the Yuty to clear baddies and the Thyla to cross "Death Creek" where I died.
I assume you know that when the food bar turns white it means you need to poop. If you wait and let it go on its own it actually increases the food and water drain a bit. This would be a good tip for beginning the game. I just wasn't sure if you knew since on camera you don't worry about it.
i did the ice cave on the island today and just one polarbear already killed my dire bear mount. ended up with having to grapple through the cave and pump shooting the dinos while getting stunned by purlovias 3 times. gonna do it with a yuty and fear roaring next time. purlovias are really the thing what makes this cave hard. without them you could just grapple through.
Single player settings. Nothing to tell more. If you want to play the real game disable single player option from settings and tweak the rest options to your liking.

Rumor has it wildcard will be removing obstacles from the entrances of caves. Mainly because cryopods have made bringing larger dinos into caves like this easy. They already did it with the Ruins of Nosti on Scorched Earth by removing the boards that kept dinos out.

I entered this cave yesterday with five allos. Their stats were 50k health and %2000 damage with primitive saddles. Good thing is i got the artifact and this was my last artifact. Bad thing is one of my allo drowned because of stupid water in cave.Also i didnt find a good blueprint.
I hate this cave so much @#!@!. I've been doing it for 100 times i'm talking serious, 100 times i died and lost everything. 3 theri's 250+ lvls and tek items after that i rage quited :(. Then my friend told me to use 500+ compound bow. I said how the fk can i get 500% dmg compound (i was playing on 3x rates server with 0 mods) big F in the comments pls :(

What Saxon said. A Yuty is the best mount for this cave and makes the trek trivial, though seeing you run it with a rex was fun.

Just do the sky lord cave the get asc flak bps and then you can go in the cave with the flak on and not be cold and be very protective
