Took 34 strokes to get to 2750. Benjamin Marauder 2nd gen/Mac 1 tune. It's a no-brainer. I bought dry filter model. Super simple to put together. No more long drives across town just to get gouged to fill a carbon fiber bottle that doesn't hold pressure.
I have the Hill MK4. Is there a big difference between the MK4 & MK5? I have the previous version of that rifle also. Got it from you guys, thank you very much. I think it's an easy gun to pump. Much easier than my Wildcat. Probably why you chose it...
I have the MK5 and according to Hill it is a bit easier to use and takes less strokes to top off, say from 150-250 bar. (that takes me about 200-220 strokes with the MK5). I take about 2-3 minutes break every 40 strokes to let pump (and my arms/back:) cool off.
The Huntsman is very easy to hand pump due to the 162cc air reservoir. Takes 2 pump sessions from 150 bar to 220 bar. Those 480 cc reservoirs take 4 or five!

You are pumping way too fast and not giving the pump enough time for a proper amount of air to enter into the compression chamber of the pump. Therefore reducing the pumps potential volume.
Also by doing it so fast you’ll build up too much heat very quickly.....which isn’t good. Slow and steady is the way and stop for a minute if heat still builds up.

Now I don’t mind filling it for the first time but I heard ramblings of the fact that in order to fill a gun for the first time in needs a higher pressure that a hand pump will not be able to achieve so a compressor is necessary any truth to this? Thanks in advance
I'm sure you got your answer by now, but you can certainly fill a completely empty PCP airgun with a hand pump. Do it all the time when I strip down my Marauder and redo all the o-rings. You'll be there for a while though.

Mine has a little screw not installed I believe it’s a flow regulator, but I cannot for the life of me find any information on how it should be installed & if it is even needed? Think of it like a car's speedometer--it may show 180mph, but the car likely can't reach that speed. If you fill it beyond the factory spec (your case, 200 BAR) it can blow out seals, and will require a gunsmith to disassemble and repair. DO NOT try to fix the rifle yourself--anything goes wrong, you might get seriously injured. Good luck...
I just bought a Walther Rotax and as soon as I finish pumping upto 200 bar, I release the valve on the pump and pull out the filling probe. And then the PCP reservoir starts leaking air. Can anyone help? I want to know what I'm doing wrong

That was the first thing I noticed as well. Also laying on that hard granite countertop. I would use a blanket or a MTM GV-30 gun vice maintenance and cleaning center while pumping up my rifle. Those other surfaces gouge and scratch wood. What a beautiful stock to bugger all up.
The problem with hill hand pump is carrying around, no guiding videos like assembly or disassembly, change of service kit etc, they should expect third party for those videos, Hill hand pump company inspite being a old and reputed mostly doesn't listen to thier customers, we had been requesting to come up with a comfortable carrying bags of the pump but even after so much request mk 5 also came up the same again, because no carrying bags it's very difficult to take around which also not only inconvenience but dirty the pump sometimes resulting in demage too, because of the big base of all hill hand pump it doesn't fit in most bags, some modification can be done like foldable one

I fill up every 20 shots , thanks for the fitting idea as I now have 2 different guns with different fill probes.
The most helpful video you can do involving a hand pump is a routine maintenance and complete rebuild serious on every model you carry!

I always like to put some teflon tape around the threads when connecting threaded adaptors. It helps avoiding leaks.

My pcp pressure meter is 350 bar but maximum recommendation from factory is 200 bar.. I don't know why 200 bar, please let me know.
