I sent a message on Milktooth's website inquiring about exactly this topic, as I had to replace my membrane keyboard for the office. I come from BOXX Silent Pinks and Cherry Silent Reds so I like light, linear, and quiet switches. I was recommended the Peach, Fairy, and Frozen Silents and I got some of each. I can EASILY say that I prefer the Frozens, and they definitely feel the most "premium" out of the bunch. The Frozens don't have that as much of that high pitched "slide/gliding" noise that are noticeable in the Peaches and especially the Wuque Switches. I might not like that sound personally, but they are still great switches! If I had to recommend one however, it would be the Frozens. They have a REALLY nice bottom out noise and I love hitting those keys that have stabilizers haha. Great feel overall, no wobble, and they glide so easily. I like them so much that I'll be buying some more when my keyboard at home gets an upgrade. You also can't really beat the prices on Milktooth. Just thought I'd share my experience!
Yeah, Outemu only started making good switches recently to be honest (the ones Redragon remarked are pretty good except for the cheap box ones). So most reviewers are kinda not too excited about trying those out, but I made a custom keyboard with them and they're pretty good. Light, silent, and become even better after you lube them.
I bought a set of the TTC Silent Frozen v2 and I'm still impressed by how quiet and smooth they are. I can see the "over-engineering" you mentioned, they made sure everything inside the switch is silver and the RGB on my board shines with these. They look like little ice cubes and are so light and quiet that there's no effort using them. The customer service was also lovely, I don't know if/when I'll need more switches but I'd definitely recommend getting them from milktooth.
Hey Milktooth can you recommend me a 96% keyboard to build up that will pair great with the TTC Frozen Silent V2 switches? It's for both work and play that's why I also need a numpad. Something that will enhance the quietness and feel great while gaming!
thank for the video. when i searched i didnt find most of theses switches, i only know Outemu Peach and cherry MXsilent red but how about the new mx2a silent red ? is it worth the try or should i just get the old one ?
got some honey beans from you before this vid came out, i like them a lot! the weighting is perfect for me and i like that the travel length isn't overly short
Which is the least mushy, and which is the least scratchy? Thx man! Considering buying some Kailh deep sea silent Islet (linear) switches for a steel plate which is loud with everything I have tried, Gateron G pro V3 Red, Silver, and Yellow, Leobog Graywood V3, Glorious Lynx, Cidoo Matte. G pro Yellows are the quietest so far, but I want more silent. Will appreciate your input!
Thank you! I am choosing between TTC Silent Frozen v2 and Kailh Deep Sea Silent Pro v2? I need less scratchiness, less stem wobble and surely the silence. Currently, on my older Keychron K2 v2, and on the new Keychron V1 Max I am using Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow, which I llike a lot, totally into linear, but want more silence, good for typing but also gaming. What would be your recommendation?
I went forward and ordered TTC Silent Frozen V2 90 pieces for ~USD45, as a replacement to my really liked Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow, which are considered budget but are very nice and close to silent switches. Lets see how they will compare and hope I'll not be upset.
Great video, my fiancé was watching as she is trying to assemble a quiet keyboard. I caught a peak of the video and I had to ask what kind of camera you’re using, these shots are great! Thanks!
I prefer the peach! It reminds me of a well built synthesizer with good action and response. The other reason being the short travel and the gradual increase in weight just at the end, which signals the brain that tbe key is triggered. It seems that Akko fairy has similar attributes on paper.
@@lloydlobo4903 Have you tried V2 or V3 Peach ones? I'm considering should I pay like twice the price for Frozen V2 instead of cheap Peach V3, to try the silent switches instead of my current Graywood V4. I like the feel of them, but the less travel distance (and noise) is an interesting option. Is there noticeable mushiness, lightness or 'gummy' feel of silent ones, compared to Graywood? Because if there is, I'd better stick to the ones I have now.

0:54 Jerrzi Honey Bean / 1:41 Akko Fairy / 2:19 Outemu Peach / 3:17 Wuque Studio WS Silent Linear / 4:32 TTC Silent Frozen /// all 4:40
I ordered some of the frozens from you for night time to not annoy my partner
Finally someone who puts the sound tests next to eachother and doesn't waste the viewers time. Thanks a lot
My main challenge for Silents as a whole is to get non-scratchy *and* non-mushy switches
WS or Haimu silent man they're amazing
Would also look into Kailh Midnights, I don't think they put a damper at the bottom
They mostly sound scratchy, they are not. About mushiness though, yeah they fking are, and tha's annoying.
I really like the Invokeys Nightshades. They’re the best I’ve found!
My Akko Fairies are so scratchy that they bind at times, which is so weird since I have a few different Akko switches that are all really smooth.
lichicx xcjz lucy switch deserves a mention.
Finally Outemu Peach Silent mentioned in best silent switch list B)

been struggling to decide between akko penguin silent and outemu peach silent v3
outemu peache and akko fairy is nice sound
thank for the video.

I'm using Wuque for my keyboard currently, it's nice, but a little heavy to type
These videos are so satisfying to watch and i'll never buy switches anywhere else
sooo nice you're doing those yearly videos about silents. I'm looking for the coolest silents since like 3 years
btw you can add like film overlay with scratches and light leaks, then video will have that fully vintage look
Cranking out the videos lately, good stuff!
What abt haimu heartbeats!
Haimu and Wuque are basically sisters brand so the heartbeats is very similar if not identical to the WS silent linear
milkthooth posted a video today. today is a good day.
got some honey beans from you before this vid came out, i like them a lot! the weighting is perfect for me and i like that the travel length isn't overly short
wow, just straight to the point!!
Haimu Heartbeats??
Outemu silent white linears good overall or nah?
good, outemu silents are good, especially considering their price.

What about top silent switches for Low Profile keyboards?
Akko fairy more than 75%cost compare with outemu peach. which one i should do for P/P. 😂 tks for advise
favorite between TTC Silent Frozen vs Gazzew Bobagums?
Please try KTT Silent Linear (Light tone). I want your review.
mine akko silents feel a bit scratchy unlike mine outemu...

@@VicharB i have Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow now, thinking to buy ttc frozen, how do you compare them? is it an upgrade?
What can you say about Vertex V1?
Great video, my fiancé was watching as she is trying to assemble a quiet keyboard. I caught a peak of the video and I had to ask what kind of camera you’re using, these shots are great! Thanks!
A phone can do shots like these - one with a macro lens and even without it. Recent S and Ultra series can do this, as well as recent iPhones.
Are the try at home kits still on pause?
Hell yeah, love the influx of videos
Anyone have both the silent peach and ttc frozen? Is ttc a lot better?
I prefer the peach! It reminds me of a well built synthesizer with good action and response. The other reason being the short travel and the gradual increase in weight just at the end, which signals the brain that tbe key is triggered. It seems that Akko fairy has similar attributes on paper.
I just wish frozen had a shorter travel, and didn't thock as much, when compared to the peach. Tested both on the same keyboard side-by-side.

@@lloydlobo4903 is the frozen a lot louder because of that? i need super quiet switches for the office.
It might be the keyboard and keys are using but literally all of those sound scratchy.
