- “Lībiyā, Lībiyā, Lībiyā” (Libya, Libya, Libya) is the national anthem of the Kingdom of Libya from 1951-1969
The anthem was first adopted in 1951, when Libya became independent. Its music was composed by Mohammed Abdel Wahab, and the lyrics were written by Al Bashir Al Arebi.
The anthem was relinquished in 1969 when a bloodless coup was staged by colonel Muammar Ghaddafi, which overthrew King Idris I of Libya, the anthem was then readopted when Ghaddafi was overthrown in 2011, it is currently being used by the State of Libya.

Can anyone find a karaoke version of this tune? There is a karaoke version of the anthem, but it's of a different octave. I like this octave though.

At least Libya has the old flag and anthem restored again.
I am Anti-Gaddafi as everyone else here, but don't pretend the Kingdom of Libya was some heaven on Earth. Most of the Oil Wealth wasn't used to develop the country. The reason why the people didn't put up much resistance at first to Gaddafi's Coup was due to the fact that they were fed up with the insane Corruption of King Idris I (and also because they didn't know how bad Gaddafi would be)
Restoring the old Flag and Anthem was cool, actually restoring the Monarchy isn't. That's actually why the line in the third Stanza "Hail Idris, the descendant of conquerors" was changed to "Hail Al Mukhtar, the prince of conquerors"

Our king unfortunately didn’t done much to us or to the country my grandma & grandpa always spoke about him and how their live was! Ge didn’t even discover oil
