Hey guys! In this video, we go into detail about an old Toy line from Jurassic Park's History. What Was Jurassic Park: Chaos Effect? If you guys have any idea of what this was, you'll recognize dinosaurs like the Paradeinonychus and the Tanaconda as some of the first Jurassic Park Hybrids! You could say that the Indominus Rex may or may not have taken influence with Jurassic World's Hybrids after seeing the Ultimasaurus. A Jurassic Park Animated Series was even planned to go alongside this stuff! What an odd world we live in! Развлечения
Jesus, Ultimasaurus was quite an edgy guy. I didn't know he was shelved for being potentially dangerous to play with.
Indoraptor: Hey mom!
Can I ask you a question?
Indominus Rex: What is it?
Indoraptor: What was dad like?
Indominus Rex: Uuuuuuuh......
You can actually hunt the Ultimasaurus in the Jurassic Park Hunter mod in Carnivores 2
@@Nando75549 I understand the joke, and since Indoraptor was created with the DNA of Indominus, he could have seen her as a mother if they coexisted. However, other people view them as siblings. I suspect that, in that scenario, they would see Dr. Wu as their parental figure.
$😀😁😃😑🙄😓😔😲😢☝️
hahahaha "edgy guy"
chaos effect: it aint working, jurassic world the game and movie: HYBRIDSSSSSS
Man I would have loved a chaos effect cartoon back in the day. Love the breakdown of the history and AGAIN thanks for the shout out dude!
Yeah definitely it will be like their own 'Godzilla the Series' of the franchise
They actually want to make a series based on, but like all of animated series of jp (except camp creatacous) the series got cancelled
When the TV show never made it’s existence, it made me so sad
As a Kid, I HATED the idea. I specifically remember seeing the commercial and saying; "That's not a REAL Dinosaur!" And being super pissed because that's something John Hammond would have NEVER let fly. The older I got though I always felt a little disappointed for never snagging a figure or two cause the designs, while very over the top, do look super cool.
i was disapointed as a kid because i thought there was a new movie on the way but there was'nt.
When I get older I'm gonna make it a series
Tyrannic Productions: Don’t ruin it please.
But you're are way past wrong,as there were 'hybrids' in the novels, but not this outlandish.
Tyrannic Productions good luck 👍
These were some of my favorit toys as a kid, i loved the colors, i loved the concept and i was always dissapointed it got scrapped i would have loved a cartoon series based on the toys
same here, same here. I cosplay as the alpha raptor at cons. thinking a red mohawk will look good on it eventually
I know the hybrid concept is a pretty divisive factor in the JP community, but I personally love the concept.
I mean yes, it takes away the awe and wonder, but it also highlights the moral and ethical problems of tampering with such scientific breakthroughs. It’s also a cynical example of the publics’ mindset to dinosaurs. A lot of people don’t care or appreciate the science behind these creatures, they just like to see them as these real life monsters. The hybrids are a smack in the face to these kinds of people, as seen with the Indominus and maybe the Indoraptor.
I agree. Jurassic Park is about the dangers of genetic tinkering first, and the majesty of dinosaurs second.
ive always like the JPCE hybrids. especially the alpha raptor. sure they don't fit in JP but they are cool designed. technically all the dinos are hybrids in the book. i think the show would have failed horribly but i would have loved it as a kid and had found memories of it non the less. i wonder what the intro would be like?
Which is hilarious, considering every dino in the JP series is a damn hybrid.
Yeah that fuckers get stuck in the frist movie...but the hybrid concept could be a distinctive mark to the franchise that diferentiates JW from others toy companies of dinosaurs
from an Original JP trilogy Fan.
1993
1997
2001.
i Think Chaos Effect wouldv Been badass.
more cool them JW hybrids in my opinon
if Chaos Effect was Live action with Chriss Prat still staring as Own Grady ina universe thats similer. but Follows along the Natural Path of JP.
and not the Jarring Sudden Culture shift of Jurassic World with all these Bland Serious dark drama Filled Tones like something out of Minority Report or iRobot
or even Resident Evil.
JW has to Much Action and Drama.
not Enough Colorfull Frighting Survival Horror Driven Adventure with some Comedic Elements here and there.
On the next episode of "EPIC Rap Battles of Prehistory" we'll be pitting Ultimasaurus vs. Indominus rex. Who will win? Who's next? You decide!
lol
Epic RAPTOR battles of prehistory
Calico Jackosaur it would be the ultimasaurus because it way op
I somehow got all of the released Chaos Effect Dinosaurs, and I loved them. They really sparked my imagination when I was a child. My favorites were Rainbow Rex and Rainbow Raptor, because I would put them as the Alphas, and the Compstegnanthus, because I thought it was a Jurassic Park Godzilla toy.
As a young child, I would have loved the TV show. My parents didn't let me watch too many cartoons, but I could watch as many dinosaur shows as I pleased.
I still am really curious to what the show would be like, and if they'll ever make a Jurassic Park TV show.
Bryce Mckenzie how much do you think each of them would sell for? I have the compstegnathus
Jay
It all depends on quality, if you have MIB items add 10+ to my estimate, if you have scratched and beat up subtract 5+.
The repaints are hard to find but are still repaints 10-15
Small ones like Compstegnanthus and Amargospinus are 15-20
Big ones like Paradynonichus and Ankylorannodon would be 20-30
Humans and the Rexs are highly sought after and show their value 40-55
If you have an Adult Ultimatosaur, you've hit the motherload, Priceless
Bryce Mckenzie damn bro, I also heard the velocirapteryx also sells for a lot
Bryce Mckenzie g
Jay
Velociraptorix is a big One, but some people add to the price because of its inclusion in the commercial and because it's part Raptor. Add 5-15 dependent on quality
Funny thing, we were actually discussing of introducing the ultimasaurus in our game. This video will help people in our group understand the hybrids better so thanks! I would also love any animated series based on JP!
oh if you want i made a 3d model of him for MikuMikuDance a while back. you are welcome to use it. www.deviantart.com/art/MMD-Newcomer-Ultimasaurus-DL-581822145
Valforwing Productions Thank you, but the game isnt a 3D game. We are basing it on the NES Jurassic Park game so we pretty much do 8 bit sprites. The game is going to be open world and it will take you all around Isla Nublar. It will feature many new mechanics, locations and of course dinosaurs! If you want to follow our progress, there is a discord link for our game on my channel. Once again, thank you!
I'm actually trying to learn to use blender, right now I'm watching blenderguru. But if you're willing to give me any tips I be thankful.
Spicy Guy
I’m considering so too in my fangame. The Hybrids from Chaos Efffect will certainly be in, alongside maybe the Topps comic hybrids, and the CamoXTreme mutations.
Austin Reed sweet
"Jurassic Park Chaos Effect, now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time". I feel now, people only really know it through the ultimasaurus (through JW), and awesome fan art. I feel they could work as a kids show, by JW did a good job, of making the hybrids a mix, but still plausible. Goofy, but still cool.
“I understood that reference” -Cap
Same, though I never knew that an animated series was in the works and that these dinosaurs were to be featured in the show, I initially thought that it was just some weird gimmick
I had many of the toys as well, remember the blue velociraptor was by far my fav. Originals where the best but it was fun to mix it up a bit. Also Allen Grant was the BEST, as a kid I had the biggest crush on him.
I really love Chaos Effect! The dinosaurs were so colorful and bizzare, and I love the repainted rexes. Its just so sad that Chaos Effect got cancled. The closest thing we will ever get to the Chaos Effect cartoon would be the Godzilla Animated Series. It came around the same time as the toyline, and like Chaos Effect there were many crazy and colorful monsters. Also since Mattel has the Jurassic World/Jurassic Park brand and is making a target exclusive legacy line, it may be possible that chaos effect will get a reboot
The idea didn't seem too terrible. Likely the Chaos Effect was more meant for the kids to enjoy. An animated series does sound interesting. It is too bad the toys didn't do too well. I use to have the Amargospinus, the Tanaconda, and my favorite, the Velocirapteryx. I think I still have the Amargospinus toy.
I would have LOVED to see this cartoon and the toys actually become big, I loved the designs of the hybrids, not so much the color but they probably would have grown on me.
Hey Klayton, amazing video. I started following you last year and now I can't stop watching your videos. I've been a JP fan since the first movie came out and it's amazing how much I learned with you in the past few months. Greetings from Brazil!
I'm so happy you made this vid, not too many ppl remember the chaos series, but it was the dopest one due to the fusion and color aspect.
Man I swear I had most of these as a kid. My favorite was the blue raptor though. I should dig these guys up sometime for old times sake
Personally, I think it would be cool to see Ultimasaurus in a future movie.
Camp Cretaceous?
Early concepts of the Indominus Rex very closely resemble the Ultimasaurus
Man. You are making me want to go online and buy some of these again. I actually loved the chaos toyline. The colors and styles just stood out to me and made me think of the possibilities as a kid.
I really liked the bright colors as a kid, as cartoon-y as they are. Thanks for the video, feeling that nostalgia :)
To be honest, even as a kid I thought that the design for these figures were some of the most funky, only in the 90's "X-treme" things I've ever seen. I think if they toned down the colors and went with more realistic sculpt (which makes more sense in light of them trying to make a cartoon) it could have worked better. And ironically I think they should have released the Ultimasaurus since it's hands down the most iconic figure in the whole line. The raw combination of famous dinos not only stands out but does capture the imagination on the topic of making hybrids (also probably what most people expect when they hear Jurassic Park has hybrids).
Ultimasaurus looks like a beast!
I have to let you know, that your videos are amazing. I've been watching for a while, and it makes me so happy to know that someone else is out there asking the same Jurassic Park questions. In regards to the video, I always loved the creativity in the Chaos Effect toy line. I, myself, would have loved to see you the television series AND the Ultimasaurus. I also have two of the Chaos Effect toys in my personal collection.
Damn, I still have that Omega T-Rex lying around in my closet!
Me, my brother and my Dad always thought a potential JP-sequel plot would involve the Barbosol can and something exactly like Ultimasaurus.
As much as I love the Ultimasaurus, I do admit it would be one hell of a stretch for people to take it seriously.
like this the hybrids are the creation of Biosyn!
Man I remember Jurassic Park chaos effect.
Awesome vid glad to see you explore this topic
Thanks for this video dude! I had a few of those toys when they came out, but never understood where they fit into the story and why I could never find much info on them.
Ian and Grant are definitely the best characters of the original series
i don't know why, but i love the colors of the blue alpha velociraptor. i'm going to make a fan art right now.
valforwing.deviantart.com/art/Kaz2Y5-on-stage-614757860 my fan art is wearable! and comfy! i fell asleep in it in the video game room at a convention and woke to a bunch of kids playing with my tail.
Wow this is so nostalgic! I had a few of those guys in my collection as a kid, I loved that neon green and purple pterosaur. Super awesome and fun toys but I think I’d prefer to leave it at that lol.
Awesome video! Jurassic Park Chaos Effect is my favorite Toyline along with JP Series 1 & 2
I’d like to have seen a jp in cartoon form would have been cool if done right
There was actually plans to make a JP cartoon until it got scrapped because of the Lost World.
Definitely a jumping the shark moment for Jurassic park but the series could be an interesting non canon show
Oh man i love you for that episode
These are so cool. Much cooler as a nostalgic trip back to the good old days, and the elusive cancelled Ultimasaurus gave kitbashers everywhere a star to shoot for. Love it. so comforting and fun
I like this series. It's not the best idea but it could work.
I have the Compstegnathus, the Blue Alpha Velociraptor, and the Bull T. Rex from that line. My dog ate the nose off the T. Rex the first week I had it.
I always wanted the Ultimasaurus from the line but could never find it. Now I know why.
i love your videos, there has been so many nights where im drunk and message my friends about your videos
I was only 11 years-old when these came out in 98, and the *Velocirapteryx* @1:32 was and is STILL to this day... my most favorite one of the entire set with the *Paradeinonychus* coming in 2nd (still have both figures displayed in my room). After JW, I've been hoping it would be chosen as another possible hybrid for future JP films (I think it could work imop...).
Thanks for the trip back to our 98 childhoods, Klayton! :)
I’m pretty sure Kenner was on every kind of drug when coming up with this toyline.
Nope just meth. Lots and lots of meth.
its very interesting also klayton u need to make a vid on the indominus vs ultimasaurus thats actually a pretty heated debate no joke
how is that a debate? ultimasaurus would win istantly, right?
I had heard a while back that it would be like the t-1000 vs the t-800. Basically the ultimasaurus would be like a walking tank whilst the indominus rex would be smarter but physically weaker compared against it.
Grant was my childhood favorite and left a huge impression on me. As I grew older I came to like Malcom more but Grant holds a special place in my heart
I really wanted the Blue Alpha Raptor from the chaos effect line. It's paint job is so awesome!
I like the Chaos Effect. Its a fun, out landish step for the franchise into some crazy sci-fi. That being said it is probably for the best it was just a toy line. So when are you gonna do an Indominous vs Ultimasaurus ;)
Hahaha one day lol one day
What bothers me about the Indominus Rex is that it's not visually striking; it's kinda forgettable actually. It's a hybrid dinosaur and, as the unfinished CE toyline shows, could've made the ID more interesting to look at.
+Naxiro Dark Wow you're right. A white t-rex-ish dinosaur. So memorable!! Forget the analogous coloured stripes of a juvenile male t-rex, whitey mcnobody takes the cake!
In truth I do remember the Indominus Rex, but only because of the untapped potential for a truly terrifying design. Entirely for the wrong reasons.
it's more of a meh monocrome then white. it's suposed to camoflaghe so why stay white all the time?
Camouflage is a temporary thing so I don't think it counts. The concept art for the I.D. looks more interesting IMO.
still we don't really get a good look at it's ability.
I think that was the point it was 100% artificial. Plus a bit social commentary you know? "I-Rex" I see what you did there.
Bro these were bad ass loved these as a kid! I had the velociraptorix,
I'm so late but I have been DYING for a chaos effect video.
Dude I remember owning a few of those toys but not understanding what they were or how they tied into Jurassic Park,
Hell yeah they should totally bring it back but I think they should bring it as an adult themed cartoon with swearing and all that and make it for us more matured older fans. He'll have Netflix do it they'll do a hell of a good job I would think.
The hybrids from this line should get a film adaptation
YES!
Valforwing Productions Seriously go make a letter and tell Universal, Amblin and Legendary Collin Troverrow and Steven Spielberg to make Jurassic World: The Chaos Effect!
This looks awesome I wish it continued till now
Hey man, I'm just stopping by to say I appreciate (this channel and other channels and fans) who work to keep the Dino love alive much like the JP movies, keep up the good work.
I mean, I'm not your boss you do what you want but, you know.
Hey thank you! Means a lot! :D
Klayton Fioriti Anytime. 👍
I like them.
I personally feel like the color schemes were atrocious and very akin to bad deviantart character designs. That being said, I would probably kill for the alpha velociraptor toy anyways... I feel like any time a major franchise with a more mature theme to it tries to pander for children for toy sales to the point where they produce really... oddball scripts to try and shoehorn cash in it's just... shameless. There were so many different directions they could have taken, possibly something less to do with DNA splicing and more to do with educating kids. I think that the Chaos Effect line is a rich part of history to look back on, but a dark dark time to have lived through, pffft.
not for me, i would have loved a chaos effect show. the alpha raptor toy is really hard to find. i had one when i was little and it was so cool i based my raptor cosplay costume on it.
The alpha raptor looks a lot like blue
I have the alpha raptor figure. I thought it's backstory was cool how it was adaption to hunting at night.
"Educating kids" is the only part i disagree.
I loved this line as a kid & still do! Really wish they'd released the other toys.
I absolutely loved the Jurassic Park toys. I still remember the commercials with the voice over telling everyone to look for the JP mark.
The JP Raptors are thicker than the Kardashians.
Lol
Ultimasaurus, huh?
I had Amargospinus as a kid! Got it for a birthday present.
These Chaos Effect dinos all had wild stylized designs and colors, I totally dig 'em.
I am so glad you did this! I remember those toys being on the shelves and loved the crazy colors. I think I still have my blue raptor, which was just a different colored version of an older toy. It's neat to hear the story behind these toys.
Although....in plain looks the Ultamasaurus bears a slight resemblence to Microceratus (my personal favorite) with the trike-like frill and two footed gait.....though, without those horns and sharp teeth. I would have LOVED to see that critter in one of the new movies. Honestly the Indominus....looks pretty similar to dinos that already exist. It would have been cool to see them push the looks a little more than they did. I mean, they pretty much could have called it gigantosaurus and no one would have known the difference in appearance.
Klayton, what do you think of the T Rex from Jurassic Park, world, and now in fallen kingdom being named “Roberta” now instead of Rexy? This confused me when I went on Jurassic Park wiki yesterday
In the storyboards for the original film, the filmmakers named it Roberta, but the name Rexy is one that some people have chosen to stick with because Muldoon mocked the dinosaur with this name in the book 3 or 4 times. Personally I just call it the T-rex
Look up ‘Ultimasaurus’ at jurassicpark.wikia.com, look at the “Behind the scenes” section of the page, and find out what CartoonNetwork-related cartoon had a character based of of the aforementioned toy from the Chaos Effect toy line.
Judging from the pin, my guess is that you saw the reference, huh, Klayton? Which would win between the Indominus Rex and the Ultimasaurus, according to you?
don't even have to look that one up. it's something from ben 10 learned it ages back. need more ultimasarus
I had the Tyranops and Ankylodactyl and they remained two of my favorite toys for quite some time. I wish I had had more of them.
I love these ideas.i would like to see the series
I have the rex and iam 32 years a
old.
which is more powerful the irex or ultimasaurs
I guess the Ultimasaurus lol
Honestly, I really love this idea. And would've loved to have seen the series.
I love the way the toys look! Especially the color schemes!
I think it's sad it got canceled!
Lmfao what was the point of that baby surrounded by JP vhs tapes 😂
JP is a money maker...I guess lol
Klayton Fioriti I kinda got that but it was just hilarious, bizarre, and unexpected 😂😂❤️❤️
Klayton Fioriti - I had never seen that photo before.
Looks like a cursed image
the indom is to believeable for its own good it looks extremely generic and not like a hybrid
I would have like to see the ultimate toy come out. But happy it didn’t last long
I also had the blue alpha raptor. As a kid I wondered why the coloration was so odd, but now it makes sense. I just now found out this series existed (kind of existed). Cool! 👍
This video introduced me to klayton's channel years ago and today i still love this vid and all of his content
Dilopha raptor... Anyone?
no one will read this that's going to be in one of my movies
What the hell were they smokeing
lsaac leal
The tail end of the 90s. Oh boy, was it high
I had no idea this existed! Cool Video!
Love the video Klayton. I remember having many of these as a kid as well, wish I had held onto them. Even then, I thought it was weird how some of them were just basically recolored Lost World toys with no new features, like the Thrasher and Bull Rex. Also, this may not be the best outlet for suggestions, but have you ever considered doing a video on the '97 PC game Chaos Island. I used to love playing that game so much, especially since you could hatch and control your own dinosaurs. If you haven't heard of it I would highly recommend it, especially being a fellow Lost World fan. Not sure how difficult it would be to track down a functioning copy, though.
I think it is best that it was cancelled.
Where’s that discord server you promised us
P.S pin me so everyone can see how you didn’t keep your promise
Haha just pinned someone :)
But the Discord server has been made, and is in the final stages of letting you guys have fun with it :)
Klayton Fioriti you have 1 more week klayton
😂
Klayton Fioriti I mean it 😡
Loved those toys! Had quite a few of them and played with them till they were no more
Hey loved the video and I must say I one of the few the loved the Chaos Effect toy line. I thought it was somthing cool and awesome and I would play for hours haveing my regular Jurassic Park Vanos fighting my Chaos Effect dinos and the humans trying to get out alive. It's sad to think there was to be a cartoon to go along with it and it never made it to tv I would of loved to watch it. Any ways please keep up with the good videos looking forward to enjoying more of them.
pin me
edit thanks for the likes
jakes punchwood you can’t even say please? :/
please
What's the point in asking for pins? Is attention more important than discussing the video?
oh i see everyone else can ask for a pin its fine but i ask for one there is a problem with it
jakes punchwood is talking about everyone
They saved the brand by canceling it. Just like Jurassic park 4
I remember Chaos Effect! I would have loved to see this take off.
Great content as always! If you've ever heard of the 1999 PC Game called Carnivores 2, there is a modded skin for the Velociraptor that turns it into the JP Chaos Effect Raptor! It is pretty neat and worth the look
I prefer original dinasour, not this monsters a.k.a killing machines
madmin of weirdo city what are you talking about
finnaly FINNALY! a new chaose effect video
I love it & wish we would have gotten that series.
I still have most of the chaos effect dinosaurs and now that I know they were only around for a year it makes me want to hold on to them even more
I had lots of dinosaur toys as a small child. My identical twin and I loved playing dinosaurs!:)
I like these designs, and I’m thinking of either making custom Mattel or LEGO versions of these (possibly both!).
3:34 is my favourite! I love the colours on the raptor, and Hey, coulda been those colours, who knows!
I would have loved to see that show. It sounds really awesome, and seeing hybrids mixed together like the indominous and indo raptor would have been very cool. I wished I got to see the show itself and now how many seasons it would have got.
I love this dude's channel
I loved the Tyrannops so much, it was my favorite of the Chaos Effect toys I owned. It was basically a Gorgonopsid action figure!
I would love to have seen the animated series, and I absolutely loved the Ultimasaurus and woud love too see something more happen with this beast (maybe even a film appearance). ^^
I would love to see chaos effect come back, I had the tyrranops as a kid
I had a toy of chaos effect and didn’t know which was the toy but now I know. Thanks
Nice video!
I owned almost all of these never knew they were actually Jurassic Park related!! That just makes them that much cooler lol
Yes!! To the series and the toys! I’m looking for the toys as we speak!
