I feel like most people they don't respect the Jurassic Park franchise they just watch the movie for entertainment well that's the purpose of a Movie, but it's nice to know that people care about the overall story
My favourite versions of pteranodon are the one's in the lost world and Jurassic world were you see some with a red crest(male) and some with a blue crest(female)
Bruno Castiglioni that's what it meant, I think the different colors were more individual variation, although male animals were in the park according to Colin Treverrow.
Love these history of dinosaur videos! I think my favorite incarnation of the Pteranodon would have to be the Jurassic Park 3 variant. They're just ferocious and a little creepy too. I used to absolutely LOVE these pteranodons when I was little so I have a little nostalgia for the JP3 versions as well.
I like the JP3 sorna-variant.... or as I like to call them "PTERANODON HIPPOCRATESIS SORNAENSIS" and the Masrani Variant a.k.a- "PTERANODON ABOMINABLES NUBLARENSIS"
I never realized that the toy story pterano was based on the kenner toy thats so cool. My favourite pterano design is the jp3/jptg pterano with tlw/geonsterbegia being my second favourite. I love the pteranodons, they are such an interesting creature! (Who are already being developed for my game btw lol)
I absolutely love your content, I've already recommended you a few times on my own channel. Sometimes when I'm playing Ark or Jurassic World Evolution, I'll end up talking about tid bits about Jurassic park and even bring your name up. Thanks man, I've watched almost all your jp content.
Your videos have gotten me back into the Jurrasic park franchise so thank you!! Ur videos are so interesting and ive been binging them a lot recently,,
I love it you just made me go through all my JP and lost world trading cards!!! I'm so happy and proud that I kept all of these and such pristine condition and I have so many. I'm missing a few but I do have most of them for JP series 1 and 2 and all of the Jurassic Park and Lost World Topps cards
Thanks for mentioning the Toy Story figure. It is often glanced over and forgotten. Never owned one myself by I remember it was among the most common in the JP I toy-line. I did get the cards and metal figurines. That early blue version, had an iconic impact on our childhood back then and it was cool seeing it shown in the Toy Story movie.
i like the pteranodons from Jurassic park 3. those shots of the pteranodon making its way towards Erick Kirby through the fog, the way it was presented and the music leading up to it is one of my favorite scenes in the film. the part where the other pteranodon turns to face Alan grant and Paul Kirby is an awesome shot of the pteranodon face. another favorite moment of mine.
The Lost World Pteranodon will always be my favorite version out of all the films. I remember getting so excited to see them, as if that ending scene wasn't awesome enough when I was 7 years old sitting in the theater... BUT it was the end of the movie and we never saw those Pteranodons again 😢😢😢
Always pulling at those nostalgia heartstrings LOL those are some of my first and favorite JP toys all the Pteranodons, even the JP Dinosaur line Pteranodon I have that sitting on my shelf
Pteranadon!!!!! Awesome vid brudda! Will you do a cover story of Alan and the group sneaking into the Raptor Nest? That be awesome to see and hear from the book to you :) Awesome vid!
Considering Pteranodon is one of a few other creatures in the JP movie series that isn’t a dinosaur, it’d be very nice to see other prehistoric animals of non dinosaur origin to appear in future instalments. (movie or spin off material like comics, shows, games ect) Personally I’d love to see Dimetrodon, or Lyceanops make an appearance, maybe even Tanystropheus. The JW variants of Pteranodon are my personal favourites, but the ones featured in TLW look very nice too.
I would love to see Tanystropheus getting some attention even if it’s just an allusion to them or having their own enclosure referenced. Of course they might get confused for an aquatic sauropod due to the neck length so Masroni might have to clarify that by capitalizing on their diet.
I think my all time favorite are the ones from JP3 because as you said, that was their time to shine and they did so in a way that I'll always remember.
I agree Klayton, my favorite version of the pteranodons were those in LW. Size, color, cranial crest...best look. Though the orange versions in JP3 were also pretty cool (and better than those in JW). At 29 years old, I still have both those species toys lol.
Jurassic Park Redemption sounds like a very cool movie but it never happened on canon. Sounds like a good story for a Jurassic Park 4, but never happened
History of the Dilophosaurus would be cool. Also, I wish a Quetzelquatelus would show up in a JP movie. Just imagine how awe inspiring it would be. It could blot out the sun!
I used to hate the jurassic world pteranodon design. But after a while the design have grown on me and now they are my favorite pteranodon in the whole jurassic park franchise.
The Lost World version is the most visually pleasing if you ask me. I never got to get used to the "Oh look, they're free now" end scene of JP3 as Pteranodon was already free in The Lost World.
I'm not certain, but having begun to read Jurassic Park, I remember Alan was looking through the channels for his in-room television and one of the options had to do with an aviary.
I like the Lost World Pteranodons the most too. My reason for why is because they look so beautiful, and given their scene at the end of that film, they looked like they were representing the majesty of the Jurassic Park islands, kinda like the Brachiosaurus in the first film. Also, I had no idea the JP Pteranodon toy from Kenner was the same toy as the one in "Toy Story," and that movie's my favorite computer animated film. Talk about big surprise!
i thin the Pteranodons from jurassic park 3 are most dangerous one of all because this reptile's have teeth in the mouth and very sharp claws too so i wish the people from the studio could bring back these Pteranodons back for the new jurassic world 3 in 2021
The ones in Jurassic Park III I liked the most because of how aggressive they were since the creatures were determined to catch the humans I mean even breaking through a cage ceiling to get the people is just crazy.
The JP3 Pteranodons (ignoring the mistake that JP3 was) are no doubt the best renditions of the creature thus far, and I was disappointed to see they didn't come back for Jurassic World.
I personally love the JP3 pteranodons the most, they are both pretty, iconic and probably the most accurate of the bunch (granted you ignore the teeth and identity them as male)
I really love the JP3 pteranodons because they were legitimately scary and we're the focus of one of the few scenes in that movie that was really great
My favorite version of the pteranodon is for some reason the jurassic world fallen kingdom ones, idk I just really like how they have such short horns unlike the other types of pteranondons, also they have this blood red type of look in fallen kingdom that I just love😀
I remember having the tan-ish colored one from the Jurassic park 3 line. It was one of my favorite dinosaur toys of all time, but the kid down the street stole mine after his little sister destroyed his. He moved a few days later, the little bastard
On another note if I were to house Pteranodons in my own Jurassic Park/World do you think letting them fly in an open space enclosure is better than housing them in an aviary like you said in your last video? What would you suggest?
Wasnt there free pteranadons at the end of jurrassic park right before the end credits when Allan, Malcom, Hammond, and grew were evacuating and flying over the ocean...side note, id love to see someone discover that Barbasal Shaving Cream Can that was lost in the mud in JP, its been bugging me for years. Love the channel, keep up the great work.
The birds you thought Grant noticed at the end of the film were not pteranodons but non-Saurian birds. By the way, Telltale's Jurassic Park game reveals what became of the shaving cream can, tying up that loose end.
Although the teeth make me spitting mad, the JP3 pteranodons are my favorite because they are fucking terrifying. Like you said, it’s like two different directors shot the human scenes and the dinosaur scenes. That ptero scene was utterly terrifying and gave these creatures a well-deserved representation as serious hazards to anyone seeking to exploit the animals
The JP3 version is my favorite Pteranodon design. Aside from the infamous teeth, I felt this one was the most imposing. Just the way it walked on the bridge was really impressive, as if gave off an intimidating presence. I also loved its color scheme, which seems vibrant with the use of gold and dark red, with a fair touch of black to give it an earthy tone. As for the other designs: The one from "The Lost World" had a nice set of blue and has a nostalgic appeal, but also seems a bit to scrawny. The JW variation looks odd, since it makes me think more of a weird gargoyle than a Pteranodon. Although I'll admit, the colors are kind of neat and the smaller crest is a nice indicator of them being female. Plus it's cool that they can dive underwater, as we learned recently in paleontology.
Hey Klayton! Do you think you could make a video discussing the dimorphodon? Upon first seeing them in Jurassic World, I had no idea what they actually were. I was under the impression it was some freakish genetic hybrid possessing the head of a raptor 😂 Clearly, I am now aware that isn’t the case, but I think they might make for an interesting topic if you deem it worthy. Love your stuff man!
I like the Lost World Pteranadon. I just wish it had more screen time in that movie. Apparently it was going to have a scene where a group of pteras attacked the main characters on hang gliders. That would have been cool to see.
One interesting thing that wasn't mentioned was the fact that the Pteranodon has the distinction of being the only animal in the franchise to be featured in a post-credits scene thus far.
The JP3 variant is my favorite because when compared to the other versions of this animal it’s still the most accurate & most realistic in how they Move & actually looks like the real animal I like the Lost World very were it really reminds me of something I would see from the early 1900s & JW version with the awkward flying & Store like beaks
I loved the JP3 Pteranodons. They had a great intense scene to go along woth their appearance. Especially the whole bridge/feeding the offspring. It sucks there were no Dimorphodons in Fallen Kingdom aswell :/
Definitely JP3! As much as I hate to say this it was the movie that (courtesy of my grandma) introduced me to the franchise. And I thought these things were so fricken cool. It sadly took me like, 7 years to see the original (when I heard that John Williams score, there was no turning back...).
I love the Lost World's version, delicate looking, with a beautiful green and yellow coloring, perched in an epic position as it screeches. Love it!
Yes it was just BEAUTIFUL. "Life will Find a Way" John Hammond. Loved the ones from JP3 and the ones in JW are pretty Cool.
Won't lie the lost world are beutefull and great willd the JP3 ones are a gresiv and tengures
The JP3 ones are superior
Reminds me of Kellogs chicken
I feel like most people they don't respect the Jurassic Park franchise they just watch the movie for entertainment well that's the purpose of a Movie, but it's nice to know that people care about the overall story
I really did like the different Pteranodons. My favorite was the Jurassic Park 3 variants.
my ptranodon is the Jurassic world version
@@alfprimevalt-rex1987 it looks bad.
I think the most dangerous pteranodons are from Jurassic Park 3
These winged beasties would have been more scarier if they had longer tails and have bioluminescence like their Cryptid counterpart "The Ropen".
No the Jurassic world ones were definitely more aggressive
Jurassic world ones are like aggressive, powerful killing machines
Is anyone gonna acknowledge how scary the pteranodon is when it came out the mist in jp3
Is anyone gonna acknowledge the fact that Pteranadon had teeth in that movie, despite 'Pteradodon' translating to toothless wing?
@@jhozan lol f u
Lost world version is my favorite!!!

or as I like to call them
"PTERANODON HIPPOCRATESIS SORNAENSIS"
and the Masrani Variant
a.k.a- "PTERANODON ABOMINABLES NUBLARENSIS"
The Lost World one is great. The screech, and the design, colors and the way it closes off the Lost World is amazing.
The lost world just looks sooo beautiful i love the colors
Pteranodon has a bigger role in Jurassic Park 3
I never realized that the toy story pterano was based on the kenner toy thats so cool. My favourite pterano design is the jp3/jptg pterano with tlw/geonsterbegia being my second favourite. I love the pteranodons, they are such an interesting creature! (Who are already being developed for my game btw lol)
JP3 is my favourite, love the shot when it turns to camera as Billy goes down stream being attacked!

I really like these types of videos. Keep up the good work. And the background music is so soothing

JP3 Pteranodons are my favorite.
Love your content and videos Klayton keep it going
Golly, I'm always happy to see a Pteranodon in any form in games and movies. :)
Jurassic park is so fucking awesome that every single dinosaur is iconic
Pteranodons were always my favorite. I want one sooo badly
I love all of the variants! If I had to pick
The Lost World: Jurassic Park variant!
Great video, I love these history of dinos in the franchise videos, keep up the good work
I still love how chilling it was encountering a gigantic Pteronadon in JP3, with it's head being the size as most of the humans.
I love the lost world Jurassic Park 2 version of the pteranodon this is the real design
History of the Dilophosaurus would be cool. Also, I wish a Quetzelquatelus would show up in a JP movie. Just imagine how awe inspiring it would be. It could blot out the sun!

Something about the JP 3 one always fit with me what a basic Pteronadon should look like
The ones in Jurassic Park III I liked the most because of how aggressive they were since the creatures were determined to catch the humans I mean even breaking through a cage ceiling to get the people is just crazy.
That music u put in all the videos....it remembers me to spinosaurus

I remember having the tan-ish colored one from the Jurassic park 3 line. It was one of my favorite dinosaur toys of all time, but the kid down the street stole mine after his little sister destroyed his. He moved a few days later, the little bastard
You said it best the one from the Lost World beautiful and color looks about the right shape and size in my opinion at least
The Lost World variants are beautiful
I can't believe we never saw the Geostanberia Pteranodon from Jurassic Park The Lost World actually I think I spelled that wrong
Hey klayton do you think there should quetzalcoatlus in Jurassic world 3 as well as the dimorphodons
JP3 by far. Those bird cage scenes were really good.
I'm the biggest fan of the Pteranodons especially the gentle and not so gentle ones from The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3
On another note if I were to house Pteranodons in my own Jurassic Park/World do you think letting them fly in an open space enclosure is better than housing them in an aviary like you said in your last video? What would you suggest?
The JP3 pteranodons are some of the coolest creatures in the entire franchise. Theyre like flying raptors.
Love the lost world verison and the jurassic world verision
I like them all both
No mention of their role in the books? Specifically the Jurassic park novel?
I really like the design of the JP2 variants, but JP3 and JW really makes the Pteranodon SFX sounded like something I've never heard before
I love both The Lost World Jurassic Park Pteranodons and Jurassic Park /// Pteranodons
The ones from jp 3 are my favorites!

I like the ones from JP2 as well. It is my favorite of the series.
I think it's worth noting that a few of the Pteranodons from Jurassic World feature a color scheme reminiscent of the Lost World variant.
I like the Lost World Pteranadon. I just wish it had more screen time in that movie. Apparently it was going to have a scene where a group of pteras attacked the main characters on hang gliders. That would have been cool to see.
