The MX400 dual monitor arms are the best dual monitor arms I’ve found for the money. In this video we have a look at the monitor arms and install a pair of USB sockets into the base.
You can buy the monitor arms here: amzn.to/36eFAiq
The USB3.0 cables I used can be bought here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223986725157
Thanks to Invision for their help in understanding what was required or the USB sockets and the install process!

Apologies for the poorer sound quality compared to usual, didn’t have an available working mic.

11:43 nice tip! I've got the single arm version and those 2 usb cables. Thanks for the nice detailed tutorial👍🏻
No probs. ..thanks for your feedback 👍
I'm gonna be honest I've learned that I can attach USB on the base of the thing and being able to freely spin the monitor orientation after watching this, I'm glad you have showed it off. Makes me glad I didn't cheap out for another mount.
Thanks...glad you found it useful 😊
Great detail in this video. Good work
Thank you, glad it was helpful 👍
Exactly what I searched for: a video showing the usb cable instalment. 👍🥳
Brilliant!
Good and detailed product review. Thanks for all.
No problem 👍
Thank you for your attention to detail at 3:28 - very helpful!
No problem...glad it helped 👍
Very useful video - thank you. Helps me make my choice of arm!
Glad it helped 🙂
Thank you for the video, it was very helpful!
Awesome! Glad it was of help 👍
Quite a helpful video thanks.. could you please link the usb 3.0 cable description?
Going to get these tomorrow for 50 euro's 😁 can't wait. Thank you for your amazing content!
No problem 👍😁
@@DadDiaries For 50 euro's would you recommend these or do you know better dual monitor arms?
Get these or a similar gas ram type... You'll only buy them once and not be disappointed. I've had the invision ones now for over a year, they now have 32" monitors on them and they are solid!
Great! One more question 😊 do you connect the other end of the usb cable to your pc?
Yep
Excellent video got it and it's very good quality.
Very strong! Don't get a monitor too light for the monitor arm, the gas piston would be too strong. Even on the lowest setting l’m sure a light monitor would take off. for a 19,5" on the lowest setting it's just enough. I'm sure even with giant monitors you won't have issues, it's a tank.
Nice video, very informative. Thanks!
How low can you bring down the arm?
My idea if I purchase this is to mount it on an over- head shelf just over my desk so the arms will be drawn downwards.
Can tjis be achieved with this device?
Great vid thanks. The usb extenders I bought where a little thinner than yours so sadly didn't sit flush in that case. I resorted to sticking them down with blu tack! No one will ever know...
If it works it works!! 🙂
Great video. Am looking to get these, but my desk is quite flush too the wall (can make a small gap probably). The back part of the clamp looks quite thick, so I might have to use the drill through method. Do you think this method for these arms would be OK?
It will depend on how far forward you have the monitors because if you have them at the back of the desk then the arms protrude back a bit, if you pull the monitors forward it won't be so much of a problem. The base is probably max a centimeter off the back of the desk...pulling the desk forward slightly will counter that aspect.
When you hold the screen horizontal and tilt the screen left and right for a different angle, can I tighten the stiffness of it as one feels looser than the other but can’t see any instructions on how to do so or if it’s possible
hello, I bought this product, it hasn't arrived yet. I want to consult you something. I will use it on a single monitor at all no second monitor.. I'm going to use the monitor quite low, but if I put it right in the middle of the table, I feel like I can't set the monitor low from your video. Where would you recommend mounting the vesa leg on the table?
hi do these tilt at an angle suitable for using touchscreen infrared overlay ? :)
Great video, I would like to ask you, how far can the monitors be from the edge of the table where tha arm is mounted.
Thank you :)
Do you mean from the back or front edge of the desk?
@@DadDiaries i mean from the back where you mount the ARM cause i have a 80 cm wide desk but i like to put the monitor relatively close to me app. 40 cm form the back edge of the desk where the ARM would be mounted
My desk is 80cm deep as well and if I pull the monitor to me so the arm is straight at the height I set it (fairly high) the front of the monito is approx 55cm from the back of the desk. As you lower the monitor with the arm extends fully it comes forward a little more so the front of the screen sitting on the surface of the desk is 22cm from the front edge where you sit. Hope that makes sense 👍
On the opposite note could you please tell me what's the minimum distance from the stand to the monitor, so with the arms retracted all the way and/or straight with the stand? Thank you!
I took the arms off and screwed them to the monitor on the floor. Then put the arms on
Hello, where did you buy those usb 3.0 cable? Your link is not working. Thanks!
I bought them on Amazon. If you contact invision their customer service will be able to point you to some suitable cables
Can you cross the monitors ? For example your main is left, but you want to use the right one as main so you put it on left ?
Sort of but not very neatly, they aren't designed to swap like that really.
Hello, I just installed this exact monitor arm but I can't seem to lower the arm in height ? How do you do it ?
If you can't pull the monitor down on the arm to effectively sit it on the desk you'll need to slacken off the tension screws in the arm which are adjusted depending on the weight of your monitor. The manual that came with the arms will show you which way, it's done with a hex key / Allen key.
I got a Samsung s24c300h. do i have to put the hole for the monitor mount myself? into the monitor??? bc there is nothing
You'll only be able to mount on these arms if you have a standard VESA pattern mount on the back of the monitor (4 screw / bolt holes in a square pattern)
they make a holder with vesa mount on the back for non vesa screens. It will be ugly though.
Bro when i put down the monitor hidraulik bring it back idk how to manage this when i pull down the monitor that stays there
Bud... Get yourself an appropriate hex key and you can adjust the tension strength. Check the manual and it tells you if you don't have it any more let me know and I'll see if I can pull mine out of wherever it is.
@@DadDiaries i ghet it i didint se i can move left right to adjust thx !
Hi Dad
I have HP M27f Monitors does invision have adapters for such Monitors
I'm not sure on those, I had a look and see they don't use a standard VESA pattern mount which is different. perhaps go in Invisions website and contact them, there are really helpful
can i adjust the height of monitor induvidualy ?
Yep, they are independent of each other
I have an Ultrawide 34 inch and a 27 inch monitor can i use these? even if it says 32 inch :)
Check the weight of the monitors and how wide you would need the arms to be when the monitors are side by side with how wide the arm mounting points need to be. I wouldn't see a problem if they are under the arm weight limit and will physically sit side by side. Also contact invision customer service, they are very helpful
@@DadDiaries Thank you! I will check it out.
Did you ever figure this out? I am currently thinking of doing the same thing
@@HazzaE2000 No didnt try it i bought separate arms for my monitors.
