This documentary was filmed in collaboration with Apple Music as part of Billie Eilish's "Up Next" campaign in October 2017.
I wish I had this kind of freedom when I was younger. It's so important to encourage children's creativity, I'm so glad that their parents realised that.

If I've learned anything in life, it's that you can't make everybody happy in what you do. I can see that Billie realizes that and she focuses on all the people that love her and that is the best part. Her expressing herself was amazing for me to watch. I realize one of the unspoken advantages of Billie being homeschooled wasn't just that she could focus her time on her creative passions, but also that she wasn't constantly surrounded by peers who would treat her like she's weird. We love her authentic weirdness and her insane creativity because she lived a life who never taught her that the only way to survive the social hierarchy is to conform.

I’m a grandmother, just short of 62 years old. For Christmas last year, my grandchildren shared a special date with me of their choosing. My granddaughter wanted to sing with gramma. She picked a song for me to learn with her: Ocean Eyes. We had so much fun; me learning a harmony to the chorus, her ready to pounce on me when I sang an octave lower, but not the harmony (btw, I asked her to do that, don’t let me sing it wrong). So thank you for this beautiful song that my 13 year old granddaughter loves and loves to sing. It brought such joy to our little date (so much laughter when I’d mess it up). We of course recorded several takes; just laughter. Still working on getting it right. Love Billie’s take on music, creativity and her genuineness.

how i fell in love w billie:
1. i heard a song and LOVED her voice.
2. i started listening to the lyrics really well and loved the way she wrote with a different perspective, how you need to think about what the words actually mean.
3. i looked up a picture, here face was beautiful. like soo gorgeous.
4. i saw some interview, there weren’t much, because she wasn’t really known well yet. i loved here personality. she was real, and mysterious. i recognized things and thoughts she had.
here we are, two years later, biggest, young artist of the world. and 100 000% deserved.

Some ROLOX Music Video of the song COPYCAT kept coming on my recommended and I finally clicked it. I immediately fell in love with her voice. I searched up the lyrics to COPYCAT, then searched up a bunch of other songs. I remember dancing to the songs and studying the lyrics intently, desperate to know the words to every song I found that was by her. But when I searched up Billie Eilish and saw her face, I just knew she was perfect.

@@candyqueen6543 she was depressed coz of a lot of reasons. She wasn't like other teenage celebrities as she didn't like what came with stardom and popularity in the beginning. Like other celebrities she didn't like being clicked everytime she got outside. She was dealing with things like the dance one shown in the video so all she wanted was to go out and talk to people but her popularity didn't let her do so. She wanted to go out and have genuine and real talks but she couldn't. Other problems like people blaming a 15yr old child to act like a role model just coz she's in the industry and she'd be influencing many people and kids of her age. She had every right to grow like every child does but wasn't allowed to do so by the people. This including many other issues made Billie upset to such an extent where she felt depressed. I'm glad she's not in depression anymore and that she's really happy. She's definitely surpassed the maturity levels that a usual teenage has. She's a lot more mature and stable now.
I cried a lot when I saw the documentary, it’s impressive how she’s so stronger, thank u Billie, thanks for helping me to kill my demons
And I just have a strong nostalgia for the old Billie...
