Howl's moving castle, Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson (A little add on to Peter Pan about Tiger Lily), The Jungle Book, A tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki, The Count of Monte Cristo (still haven't finished but its so amazing), The Picture of Dorian Gray (Second favourite) and then my favourite novel: The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I keep it beside me while I sleep. I literally will take it anywhere and everywhere. It has truly changed my life for the better.

Happy birthday Hailey! I have one recommendation for historical fiction and that's A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. It's such an amazing book that involves a lot of characters and yet involves all your emotions with each one of them. It makes you feel their happy times as well as their pain. You get so invested in the story, and even when you're done reading it the story stays with you for such a long time. I'd really like to know your take on that book.

I have to say I was really surprised to not see Caraval added to this list. Especially seeing as I've heard you rave about it more than some of the other books on this list. It isn't a YA but is a very well written series. Don't let the size of the books scare you they are so engrossing you will be upset that they aren't longer.

Read more Ken Follet - every single book is fantastic. I'm fascinated with ww11 as well, I recommend war memoirs too. Red Road to Staligrad in my favorite (many other people's too) and I have read quite a lot and enjoyed every single one, save one. They read like a novel.

If you want a different perspective to world war II, I would highly recommend Unknown soliders by Väinö Linna, a Finnish classic about Finland’s continuation war against the Soviet Union during the 40s. I don’t know what the translation is like, but it’s a truly touching and realistic story about the soliders, young men still, struggling through the horrors of the war

Upside of unrequited is my favorite book for that exact reason. I identified so much with molly from always feeling left out because everyone around you is finding love to struggling with anxiety. And the reason I read it is because I didn’t have another book in my locker at school after I finished the one I was reading so I went to the library and the reason I picked it out of all the books was that on the shelf there were so many gray and dark colored books surrounding this bright blue book that was halfway off the shelf because someone just crammed it in there. Becky is my all time favorite author
