Stayed in a hotel by the theme park and we saw tons of planes flying in! Really cool experience as I saw my first 747. Even got a coupe cool videos and on the last day of my stay I got to be on the same level as some of the planes coming in while going on the rides!
MY HOME STATE! So cool seeing the best plane spotter channel here in Kentucky! Doubt you'll ever make it to my home airport of Blue Grass, not enough traffic 😂
Flew in an A380 coming back from Bulgaria, the connector out of Italy to Atlanta. Celebrate us all with pieces of interior trim falling off, missionary class was very warm became very, very warm, Once we got Atlanta the front was just freezing, stewards said the 380 always has HVACR Issues. I believed them.
Company started in Seattle, corporate HQ now in Atlanta. Louisville is the main US air hub due to center of US population - FedEx uses nearby Memphis for same reason.
I'm trying to be a pilot and those 3 engine md 11s and dc 10s are my absolute favorite looking planes but I just know by the time i have the experience to even qualify on them they'll all be retired probably :(
Those two plane were introduced in the 70s and 80s. Planes that were acquired in the late 90s are being retired. That is why they aren’t used for commercial operation.
You should see Memphis then. Ive been in there a couple times. Its the main hub for FedEx. Its honestly FedEx aircraft as far as you can see. Starting about 11pm every night pull up flight radar 24 and look at their arrivals and departures. Its 98% FedEx. Their facility there at KMEM is absolutely gigantic.
The UPS, according to this video, only has large planes. What happens with smaller loads that require going more or less far. I know they have trucks ... but for urgent cases, don't they have small planes?
@@TB-um1xz I imagined it, but since they are not seen in this video ... surely they have another collection center for them. Thanks for the information and very good video.

but not ups. still does a decent job carrying millions of packages from continent to continent, and I hope this huge but still elegant plane has still lots of good years ahead to soar into the sunset of SDF to go get your Amazon order 🙃
I love how cargo airlines often use older aircraft that we don’t see carrying passengers anymore.
Yeah we use end of life aircraft because it’s cheaper for us

They have contracts with Ameriflight to transport packages small distances.
UPS and FedEx both also use smaller contractors with smaller aircraft.
We contract other companies like Ameriflight or key lime air to do feeder flights
