8:48 minutes pure enjoyment 😊 Awesome editing, those "flashbacks" while landing where soooo good! And the wings sweeping back scene gave me Goosebumps!
If you are into the book reading, I recommend the series Destroyermen series. It's about a American destroyer basically having the same thing happen to it, but it gets sent to an alternate Earth that never quite made it out of the Jurassic period.
I really needed the “hey Fox, that woke ‘em up!” pass. The Captain Yelland line “this is Eagle One: you are cleared to arm, but do not fire. Draw them off, play with them...but DO NOT FIRE” would have been nice to toss in there too. But it probably would have resulted in some stupid copyright strike.
Oops, the scenes where the F14s and the Zeros buzz the freighter, it had " sea cans " onboard, but they had not been invented at that point in time. But it's an amazing vid with incredible effects! Bravo.
Well done. Always liked how the Tomcats pinned their ears back (6:09), so to speak, when going into attack mode in the movie. It was, still is, the visual epitome a fighter aircraft in my eyes. That said, I'd love to see the Rafale make its way into the DCS world.
Amazing job just have to say that saying it was 1941 and seeing a few tomcats is quite strange taking into account that even the nimitz was built on 1968 but overall an amazing job
Time index 6:03 - Eagle control, this is Alert One. We spot two Focke-Wulf 190s … they look brand-new. Kirk Douglas/Eagle Control responds, “You what? Have they seen you?” Alert One responds, “Negative. We’re high above their six o’clock!”
They should make a sequel where this screwed up the timeline so badly that they sent us back in time again to destroy our own F-14's and murder everyone on the carrier in order to preserve the grandfather paradox and save the universe.
Love the clip but the Nimitz wasn’t even a ship in 1941 Nimitz wasn’t even significant yet. Also you showed the Stenos not the Nimitz. And the F-14 didn’t come into production until the 80’s so... yeah. But great film.
3:00 it says 1941 but ww2 ended in 1945 and last time i checked the f-14 tomcat was created in 1974 and the U.S.S Nimitz in 1972 soo... unrealisti- wait time travel!!?
Considering that WW2 war birds reached speeds of up to 650 km/h and dive bombing even higher speeds, are more manoeuvrable and have a way smaller heat signature, an excellent pilote maybe less over sea, but in a valley area might actually have a small chance against jets that also dog fight only below mach, if he'd had balls big enough and no budget...lol
@Keller Dominik, Hey I am putting something together myself right now. How did you get both the zeros and tomcats to split like that? Did you use ai? or 4 players?
its been a long time since the last vid, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Awesome as usual - so cool! Thank you Dominik and keep save (und vor Allem xund)
Now we need the A6 and A7 to make a proper strike force to send against the Japanese fleet. And this time, WE’RE NOT LETTING SOME STUPID STORM SEND US BACK BEFORE THE JOB IS DONE.
I really needed the “hey Fox, that woke ‘em up!” pass. The Captain Yelland line “this is Eagle One: you are cleared to arm, but do not fire. Draw them off, play with them...but DO NOT FIRE” would have been nice to toss in there too. But it probably would have resulted in some stupid copyright strike.
i love how the Tomcat from 40 years after the war almost got shot down by a shitty Zero :D i remember though feeling so cheated by this movie when i first saw it. i wanted to see the anti ship strike they were preparing and the battle it would have been. such a huge fucking tease :D
That and the F14 cannot carry AIM54 Phoenix in the rear two tunnel slots without the front two Phoenix pallets being installed... so no sparrows in front of AIM54s. The front pallets contain the cooling apparatus for the front and rear pallet. No front pallet, no cooling on a rear mounted missile. That's why the 3x2x2 load existed... 3 sparrows (wing pylons and one far back in the tunnel) 2 AIM9 on the wing pylons and two Phoenix missiles on the front two pallets. I wish DCS was more restrictive on load outs.
Awesome job! And I really like the movie, too.
Nice "Zero" BTW :-)
I'm pretty sure this very scene is why that skin exists :-) Can't have a Tomcat module without a "Zero" and a "MiG-28".
8:48 minutes pure enjoyment 😊 Awesome editing, those "flashbacks" while landing where soooo good! And the wings sweeping back scene gave me Goosebumps!
Thanks a lot
I literally watched this movie again a few days ago and thought, "This would be fun to do on DCS!"
И ещё есть такой американский фильм 70 года и там были такие моменты.
Awesome! I watched that (again) the other day. Great representation! FW-190 works as well as a T-6 :-). Nice job! Thanks for the fun.
I don't understand why some people give a thumbs down to efforts like these. Likely by people who generally make no effort whatsoever.
Or by people who can’t play so they are mad
comes in above the ball, flares, and hits a 1 wire lmao
My god I LOVED this. Absolutely love these “What if time travel” stories :p
Not sure if you know but this is based off a legit movie
If you are into the book reading, I recommend the series Destroyermen series. It's about a American destroyer basically having the same thing happen to it, but it gets sent to an alternate Earth that never quite made it out of the Jurassic period.
OMG what a remake scenes from this movie!! Fantastic shots remakes here, bravo 👏
Thanks Nick

I was reciting the lines in my head during the tanking scene.
"I've got the hot stuff, pull right in"
Excelent job and video edition, great movie too! . Thanks a lot. Keep safe!
thank you Andres

The Carrier air wing will never again be this Majestic!
Always putting out the best content, nothing less. Awesome to watch and enjoy during these trying times. Keep up the awesome work!
many many thanks Aniq
Epic tribute to a legendary movie!
This would have looked even better with the Supercarrier module. Great video anyways. Loved that movie.
I just saw the movie again yesterday. Great movie, I like how Col. Bob even got the guns first and missile second. True to the movie, Good job sir.
Well done. Always liked how the Tomcats pinned their ears back (6:09), so to speak, when going into attack mode in the movie. It was, still is, the visual epitome a fighter aircraft in my eyes. That said, I'd love to see the Rafale make its way into the DCS world.
Thanks. who knows what the future will bring. But the Rafale would be a really good aircraft in DCS
This was fantastic. If only you had the super carrier module out at the time.
Cooles Video, genau nach meinem Geschmack, Musik, Schnitt genial :)
;)) Danke dir Zero Pilot 1 . bis bald;)
Outstanding work. Well done!
The rare Mitsubishi FW190-A built under license.
Another gorgeous work of love! Very well done! I saw the movie with Kirk Douglass when I was a kid. Nice inspiration.
Many thanks
6:36 That Star Wars easter egg...
The Japanese planes in the video were german Focke wulf fw-190's they were supposed to be Mitsubishi A6M Zero's but cool video🙂

....A quand, la suite, en mode "Uchronie", avec la destruction de la flotte Japonaise avant le 07/121941 ???.....Merci............

Absolutely EPIC!!!!! Thank you for uploading!!!!
Don't you have the Mitsubishi A6M Zero modeled? You are using a German Fock Wolf 190 as the zero.
これはファイナルカウントダウンのオマージュですか。しっかりゼロのレプリカになってますね
US NAVY, JOLLY ROGERS, 1981= VF-84, VF103 is wrong...
Ha!!! Awesome. "Permission to arm but don't fire. Play with them"
@Keller Dominik, Hey I am putting something together myself right now. How did you get both the zeros and tomcats to split like that? Did you use ai? or 4 players?
AI but for a new one i would choose players
Nice movie though i didn't understand how F14's were present in 1941
Childhood memories ! Thanks for awesome 9:00 minutes. Love it and definitely gonna share it.
Nice one, as usual!
(Should have waited a few weeks for the SC though 😋)
Sali cuando roberto Fernández asumio en 2015
You spimply know it's about to be mean business when the wings swipe back 😎
Marshal, 010, Marking mom`s, 268 ... :)
8:09 *no slats/flaps upon landing?????????????????????*
What a nice Movie! :D
Bogeys are not A6M2 Zeros, they FW-190
FW-190 doesn't look bad painted like a Zero.
Splash the zeroes...I say again, splash the zeroes...
Haha. Hinomaru painted Fw190.
can a piston engine produce enough heat for the missile to lock on???
Why are the Japanese flying fw 190's?
MAKE AN VIDEO ON US AIR FORCE VS IRAN AIR FORCE.
its been a long time since the last vid, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Awesome as usual - so cool! Thank you Dominik and keep save (und vor Allem xund)
Many thanks Flo. ( du ebefalls blib fit)
SPLASH THE ZEROES! I SAY AGAIN... SPLASH THE ZEROES! :D
"ALERT 1 THIS IS EAGLE 1, SPLASH THE ZEROS I DAY AGAIN SPLASH THE ZEROS"
Imaginative but no... Not even close.
Ich hab den Film damals geliebt! Und jetz kann man das am PC nachstellen. Schon geil.
Japanese FW-190s?!
Un bel hommage à un classique du genre! Bien joué ;)
Merci beaucoup
ı want ec-2 so bad
Why did they use the german FW-190 like the japanese A6M Zero?
There are no zeros in DCS, so these are the closest thing
Thanks Col Boob. You the man!
Thanks Miller
I love the Movie and RUclips make it so real ... better than the movie! (Great with Original Soundtrack...)👍🙂
Now we need the A6 and A7 to make a proper strike force to send against the Japanese fleet.
And this time, WE’RE NOT LETTING SOME STUPID STORM SEND US BACK BEFORE THE JOB IS DONE.
We did it men, we saved December 7th!
Wow nice work
Absolut klasse, liebe den Film.
Danke Paddy
What the hell Fw190s?
This was something!
GREAT VIDEO although I gotta say the props had ZERO chance of survival.
So amazing 👏👏👏👏
Что за бред? FW 190 это не Zero.
Super Thanks
Very cool! 🇺🇸
That is so cool👍
very good movie
That.was.cool!..
Zero or fw190?
Thank you.
Very faithful remake. I loved this! And I wish the movie had a sequel, it had a cliffhanger ending. I wonder where it could have gone?
Outstanding video! Well done. But no Kirk Douglas cameo??
Super super cool video, thumbs way up there ,at angels 10.
Nice😎
😔😔😔
fast noch besser als top gun :)
Nice film thanks for the recreation
Do the alternative movie ending where the shred they japanese fleet with the whole wing
Very good video, keep the good work up

I don't know, it is a 40yr old movie. Maybe they wouldn't make such a fuss.
FW190? That's not zero.
Hay tarado tiene mi tatuajes mi historias en la espaldas
Bravo! Excellent job.
Очень красивое видео получилось. Спасибо за труды.
I need that zero model
Awesome thanks
FW-190s az Zeros? Cool 🙂
i love how the Tomcat from 40 years after the war almost got shot down by a shitty Zero :D
i remember though feeling so cheated by this movie when i first saw it. i wanted to see the anti ship strike they were preparing and the battle it would have been. such a huge fucking tease :D
If they remade it I think they could do it with CGI and I wish they would , I love the scenes seeing the A-6 and A-7 squadrons after they takeoff
Show this to Dan Carlin from Hardcore History, he would get a kick out of it.
Funny how the Zero's looked a lot like FW-190's. Other than that, that was a sweet ass video.
