    Another great Suzuki. Think I prefer the Vitara. Thanks for the review.

      Glad you enjoyed that video as well. I would choose the vitara over the s-cross if I wanted an suv but both are too big for my wife a small dog and I so it would be the swift sport 😂

    • @phil8437
      @phil8437 4 года назад +2

      I love the Swift sport. The Vitara would suit my needs more as we are looking for a taller vehicle to get in and out of as my wife suffers from a bad back. I also like the Dacia Duster 1.4 turbo. But although the Vitara is more expensive and we tend to keep our cars a long time, it would be a more reliable motor than the Duster. We are going to change our car next year. Thanks for the review and hope your subscription base grows for you.

      Personal choice I agree but having a 15 reg Vitara I was disappointed by the new one. I can't get passed the stupid goggly rear lights, the single low reversing light or the seats which are much nicer on my current car. The new ones look cheap by comaprison. The S cross has a nicer, flush rear led light design, full leather seats not j cloth, dual zone climate control, heated seats, reclining rear seats, auto dipping interior mirror and a sleeker more flush fitting dash. Only 5 mm lower on ride hight but bags more interior space. But personal choice.

    Just picked mine up today - my first car. So far so good. I like the gear ratio between 2nd and 3rd: in 2nd, you can crawl idling, like when you hunt for a parking space. And the 3rd is noticeably taller: I can go 3rd in town, 50 kph, even 60 is no problem. No need to shift it in 4th. Was afraid of the stiff suspension, but after riding my first 40 km it was no problem. Hill start assist is priceless! Good job, Suzuki!

      I am really impressed with Suzuki as a brand and the only car missing from my list is the new Jimny. It is slightly firmer than some of its competitors but it is still comfortable and makes for a better drive

      @@DamoDrives Well, we took the car for a test drive and wow, I was shocked. It handles much the same way as our nissan quashqai. Handled the road very well, the hubby was impressed. However, it seems they are very hard to get hold of due to the covid situation, we were told we could be looking at the new year, so are going to look elsewhere. I am gutted. Probably wouldn't have driven it if we hadn't watched your video though, so thanks again.

  • @pertoger
    @pertoger 3 года назад +1

    As for only one map pocket on the seats, it's because the driver cannot reach the one that could have been on the back of his on seat. And, by the way, it isn't for maps. It is where you place your signal vest for road safety if you have breakdown and have to go out on a difficult spot on the road. You reach behind the passenger back rest, take out the vest and put it on, and then leave the car.
    As for your complaint about excessive badging, that should not be a big issue. There would be much more chrome in the 50' and 60'. And the rubber is cheaper to buy if the size is small.
    You really don't have much to moan for yet, coming to this car. And, by the way, it comes with a sunroof if you like one, and it is very big lets a lot of light in, but it will diminish your headroom in the back.

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  3 года назад

      You learn something everyday 😊. It is difficult to find problems with cars, you don’t really get many bad cars any more just cars which are better than others. Sunroof would be a lot nicer with the car, hope you enjoyed the video and possibly subscribed, have a happy holiday and thank you for watching

  • @gokudomatic
    @gokudomatic 3 года назад +1

    Very nice video. Thank you.
    I also watched your video about the swift, which seems very interesting too, and now I can't decide. Which one would you recommend for a single guy living in the mountains, with very snowy winters on road, lots of curves and only a bit of "off-road" forest paths (stones but quite mild)? I don't need anything sporty and I usually don't do more than 60 miles for one trip, usually less. Highways are not common here, I might drive on them 10 times per year, a few times for a long trip. And the size of the trunk is not really important, as I don't need a SUV but only something that drives on snow. I do however care about fuel consumption and CO2 emission, which I want to keep low.
    Would the swift be enough? Or should I go for the bit larger s-cross?

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  3 года назад +1

      I would choose a slightly larger car than the swift due to the weather, the vitari might be a good option as well and that comes in AWD ruclips.net/video/XIzXlVabgNQ/видео.html and very similar to the a cross

    • @gokudomatic
      @gokudomatic 3 года назад +1

      @@DamoDrives Thank you for your advice. I didn't forget the Vitara but I understood it was almost the same as the SX4 S-Cross in terms of engine. I just happen to have a possible deal with the S-Cross but not with a Vitara. As for the Across, if you meant this one, it's on a whole different league of price, far beyond my budget.

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  3 года назад

      The across is not really in the same bracket as a normal Suzuki costing £45k, I enjoyed the car and it’s pretty good all round and you can
      Tell it’s a £45k. I think the s-cross is your best bet especially with a deal and the weather. For me in the uk I would have a swift sport and down south we hardly ever get any snow

    @Beorn. 4 года назад +1

    I have to start out by saying I do like this car and will be looking for a test drive once the auto comes out Q1-2021. It will without doubt though have to be way below list. The price has gone up due to the hybrid system which as you said Suzuki has had to fit to avoid big fines. I dont however think this has any material benefits for buyers. My current Vitara easily returns 50+ mpg so I cannot see any gains there.

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  4 года назад +2

      Not sure which dealer you will be going to but I am sure there will be deals to be had, the mild hybrid will give another 2-3 mpg so not a massive amount but it does torque fill so you get a more linear power delivery. Should be reviewing the new A cross and Swace which a true hybrids which will be interesting (basically the Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Corolla)

    • @Beorn.
      @Beorn. 4 года назад

      Hi, definitely an S cross for me, have you seen the price of the Rav 4 sorry I mean the A Cross. From 45k :-0 yeah right I'll take two!,
      An extra £325 pa luxury car tax for our nice Mr Johnson, no problem....

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  4 года назад +1

      I don’t think they are expecting to sell many A Cross models as it’s a lot of money for a Suzuki (I have nothing against the brand but to me it’s about good value reliable cars) and it will be reliable but will people want a 45k Suzuki or 45k Toyota. I reviewed the 2018 rav 4 so should be interacting. I think the swace will be popular
