Suzuki's are very underated and overlooked cars, bombproof reliable, had a 14 year old Ignis 4Grip never let me down, no rust, never had to replace anything other than usual wear items. Now have the Suzuki Vitara 1.4 Boosterjet and it's a dream to drive and own.
I recently purchased a 2018 non hybrid version of this car in SZ5 trim. Many SUV's of this size have small capacity 3 cylinder engines. In my opinion they are too highly stressed and too small to power a small SUV. The Suzuki 1.4 booster jet 4 cylinder turbo chain driven engine is a real gem. It is very quiet and pretty powerful. The car is very comfortable and the safety kit is very generous. The plastics inside are a bit lightweight but this all helps keep the weight down and improve fuel economy. Definitely the best small SUV on the market. A very good review thanks.
Have to say, next to Mat Watson at Carwow, this is the best Suzuki Vitara review I have watched, Mat is a bit of a Suzuki fan, but does great honest reviews, warts and all. Know about the boring interior with cheap nasty plastic, however this car has so much more to offer, the safety features are unbelievable for its class, well above others. Pick up my Vitara on Saturday, looking forward to it. Your review helped me make the decision easier, 3 years old with 16K, still a baby. Thanks for your inspiration.
That is such an amazing comment 👏👏, really pleased you enjoyed it and found it useful and being mentioned in the same sentence as Matt Watson. Hope you enjoy your new car 😊

Nevertheless, missed them for like only a week. Panoramic roof is a must to enjoy driving on small country roads. This car can cope highway too if you don't mind the noise. But for it's price, this is the best buy in it's segment. Stuffed with ADAC , lane assist (even slightly self steering), adaptive cruise control, blind corner warning, parking sensors, and so on. Body parts are very expensive (not at fault). Plastic grey strip around the fog light for the rear bumper (only the part, no labour) is like 400€. A detailed and slick review Damian, cap doffed. I’d go so far as to say it is one of your best, not that your others are in any way poor. It appears to be a good value for money offering that deserves consideration if you are in the market for a new mid-sized family car that won’t break the bank.
I’m so pleased you enjoyed the slightly shorter and snappier video. It certainly is a good value for money car and even taking more out of the equation it’s still pretty good

Nice review! purchased a sz t petrol last year. It is a bit on the small side when you have two child seats at the back but we are a family of 4. The hybrid version didnt seem to come with automatic gearbox!
@@DamoDrives I Can only confirm. I bought this car over a month ago, and even during a long trip I felt better than in my previous Toyota Auris II with its standard seats. My Vitara 1.4 Mild hibrid allgrip was a really good choice. I like its dynamics, many helpful features which also enhance safety and provide comfort for a driver. This car is just a raised by 18cm, 4x4 hatchback with pretty good acceleration and I can't wait for winter to check its Allgrip capabilities in the mountains.
Great review! I've been driving a Grand Vitara for years and love it. The only problem I have is on a windy day on the motorway it feels like it feels like it's all over the road. Do you think the new model holds the road better? Thinking of changing and love my vitara so much I haven't even considered anything else.
The new one is much better; your local dealer will give you a test drive to make sure. I don’t know how many miles you have done on the old one , but 1 or more of your shock absorbers may be damaged?
I agree the new model is really good, good value for money , built well and present to drive. Did not have any issues with the car drifting, happily sat at 60mph with no drama
Please do a proper cost benefit on this mild hybrid system vs the 1.6. Obviously it costs more and adds complexity. Hybrids can be a disaster for the environment and economy, depending on driving patterns.
@@sink7 The mild hybrid is still significantly heavier than the 1.6. the battery may also be expensive to replace or you might kill it if you don't drive sufficiently.
@@jamescaley9942 My friend. It is mild. Only 48v . The cost is about 200-300 euros. And these batteries can hold for some time . You get more mpg . Yearly tolls are 50 to 70% less. So what is the reason to get a 1600 ;;
Slick review Sir. I recently bought a 16 plate Suzuki Vitara S for my wife which drives and handles like a sports car. However, I have to confess that it’s got an awful wind and road noise especially on the motorways which give me a migraine. I am really not sure how to fix this after having paid a fortune for it...
Glad you enjoyed the video but that is frustrating with the noise. The profile of the tyre can make a difference to the road noise but unfortunately I can not say. Wind noise is not something you can do anything about 😢
Excellent review! Does it have electric foldable mirrors? Does the sunroof open, or is it just panoramic? Is there a spare wheel? Does it definitely have Android Auto, or just Apple Car Play? Thanks in advance to anyone who takes their time to reply to me 👍🤝
Electricly Foldable mirrors are available but you need to pay it extra, otherwise you can fold them manually. Sunroof comes in elegance package i believe, and I saw in other reviews that you can open sunroof in various ways. No spare wheel, only kit but you can order spare wheel for extra bucks. It has android auto, mirror link and Apple car play . Very fun car to drive, very positively surprised.just purchased mine 3 days ago.
My advice: Take into consideration the SX4 S-Cross if you're looking for more space in the rear. The Vitara is shorter than a VW Golf, which I appreciate when I want to park my car in the city. :)

The older Vitara had an awful ride quality, with every pebble feeling like a rock. I heard a lot of "thumping" in the video. How is the ride comfort in this new model?

I am not sure which vitara model you are referring to but the 2021 mode is pretty much the same as the 2019 model and it’s the hybrid engine which is the difference
