Some of those legit could have been male models. If you want to use that number scale, i would say that he took a bunch of 8s and got them to a 10 with a hair cut and extremely nice clothes. The average man does not look this attractive.
@@gclip9883 Nevertheless, the point of this series was to take guys who were dressing down and try to bring them to their full potential, not just to take average guys off the street.
This. When he starts with raw material that isn't already nine-tenths - tall, lean, well-proportioned, good-looking, full head of hair, etc - then I'll be impressed. He's working well within his own comfort zone with these picks.
@@robch4414 You're not wrong except you missed the point.... regardless if someone is an 8 or a 1 there's something they can do to improve their looks and most of the time the answer is as simple a better grooming and better fitting clothes
@@Hengel_Andrews The fact that you are reading everything in a negative tone speaks volumes about your own mental state, lol. My comment is a matter of fact, and yours only adds to it. Lol’d at the geek chic, eager to watch the rest of the video. Thanks youtube for the random recommendations and thank you Tom Ford and GQ!
You can absolutely do this for yourself or find a cheaper consultant online to source and coordinate your makeover. I’ve known some done for under a $200+, if you can afford it YOU DESERVE IT! *$200 is their fee, the rest will fit into your wishlist budget.
These transformations are amazing. It just goes to show you how a good haircut along with some nice (very!) clothes can go such a LONG way! Anyone can do this. If they want to. Can. It makes you feel better too about yourself. It’s all great!

Tom Ford is unbelievable I knew he was a professional, but when I saw him now... I am now certain that he is a professional Great job from him and the team
Amazing transformations. When i looked at a couple of these guys i thought no they aren't going to make a good model. But after Tom's makeover and appropriate clothing selected for them they definitely looked the cut.

Damn I have to step my clothes game up. No more Dad clothes. That darn blue velvet was killer. Funny how clothes makes the dorkiest guy look like a European fashion model. He (Tom) had a great eye (for men) but he knows what he is doing.
I’m lucky to own some TF clothing/cologne/accessories. Every time I wear any of it I feel extra special. Literally. Because I know it stands for utmost quality. That’s what SHOULD happen. Effect the senses. Your feelings about yourself. Not just on a visual platform.
_The most interesting thing about TF is he can turn an ordinary man into a GQ man! Granted many of his muses already had the look, but were lacking in fashion. Can you even imagine being dressed by TOM FORD? (And getting to keep the clothes)._
I still remember this era of men's fashion... Particularly this moment of online content and style blogs. When you still might see some Glenn O Brien content, ha. It was a fun time. I am trying to get as passionate about clothing as I once was.
The Avenue Man team thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you, Tom Ford. I hope to meet one day and discuss unlocking the potential of male beauty. - Sergio Slavnov
All of the individuals featured, received The TF upgrade, thus of course they look(ed) amazing. Sweet of him to try to reinforce their self confidence, with compliments. The concept of ‘dress for success’ for the life you want’ is commonly recommended. As it applies to most individuals, most first impressions, yet it is not a strict rule, as is clear, while he and they look incredible, many have succeeded, achieved and made it looking not so fantastic as this. High standards, TF brings out the/his best in the individual, it seems. They all look like models. 👍
I like wearing Tom Ford rtw clothes but the waist suppression is quite extreme even though my waist is quite slim, I always find they fit super well on the chest/across the back and shoulders but the arms and waist are too tight on me so have to get them retailored
I like Tom Ford but you can tell these videos were shot a decade+ ago now.... bringing in some 'normal' guys who just happen to be super tall and chiseled but just wearing a sloppy hoodie, and then putting them in a suit with a sharp haircut and acting shocked lol
It never ceases to amaze me how many young people don't know how to dress...no matter what the occasion. These are all young professionals and yet they don't have a clue... and don't get me started on class... where has that gone??? My other question is how does one go about becoming a subject for such a make over?
And the truth is that you don’t need too many clothes to make a good wardrobe. Take suiting as an example. One suit in a color that suits all occasions such as, say, navy is all you need. Where you get interesting is with a couple of shirts and different ties. Maybe add in a blazer to pair with your pants for that “weekend look” he talks about. Throw in a pair of black shoes (you don’t need brown) and there you go! Business formal, business casual, and weekend are all covered by very few items. And while a lot of people are probably scared about the money, the truth is that it’s more about the tailoring and the fit than the name on the label because it’s the fit that makes you look the best (we’ve all seen that guy in an expensive but badly fitting suit). It really isn’t that complicated🤷🏻♂️
should we start a petition for Tom Ford to make this a full netflix series?? I can watch these videos all day!
