  • It's 37mm of tank killing power! How well can two Americans fire it approximately 80 years later?
Experiencing arms like this first-hand inspires life-long interests, earns instant respect, and generates more than its share of grins. Watch as we fire the M38 Borfors anti-tank cannon.
Sold for $16,100 in September 2018.

It's good enough, but I'll stick to the grg m/48. One generation of AT development later, more than three times the shell mass and more than five times the pen and post-pen effect from the 84mm HEAT shells. And the m/48 is concealed carry under a tarp or a blanket in the back seat, trunk or flatbed of any car bigger than a WV Smart!

Not just used vs Panzer I and II; there are plenty of photos of Panzer III and IV in Poland k.o.'d by 37mm rounds. The thickest armour on these vehicles in 1939 was just over 30mm, about the same as on the uparmoured Panzer II Ausf C used in huge numbers in Poland.

Official Swedish numbers for 37 mm sk ptr m/34 slpprj m/38, the round they used are: 47mm@30deg@200m, 35mm@30deg@600m and 29mm@30deg@1000m, meaning it could punch through the front of a PzKpfw IV ausf A-C angled nicely at 900-ish meters. Not bad for a little pop-pop gun

Two regiments (19th Volhynian Uhlan Regiment and 21st Vistula Uhlan Regiment vs XVI Panzer Corps (4th Panzer, 1st Panzer and 31st Infantry) Poles did it with those 37mm guns. Germans Lost 50 tanks

My great uncle had 1. It was impressive backin the 80's when I saw it & still is Impressive. Ammo is the problem w/it as it is difficult to come by so the majority of the time he shot it using the adaptor that allowed you to fire .303 out of it,there was a 2nd clibre adaptor but I don't remember if it was 6.5 mm or another military caliber. The sub caliber inserts were for training as the ammo was expensive even back then. He got it way before '68. Then again he was a decorated WW2 vet & used all his "toys" responsibley. Shame you can't just get them easily, would make a nice lawn ornament next to the flagpole.
