Day 173: Phly, you should play the Hawk III Chinese fighter; 900lbs of bombs in a biplane at 1.0 that you can dogfight in after dropping. Totally balanced.

This vehicle was good before the buffs. Now it's fantastic. They also increased turret movement by like 2x or something crazy. It used to have extremely sluggish turret rotation and now it's so smooth for AA. Easily beats gepard (8.0) and ozelot (9.3) in terms of AA capabilities.
It was better when the proxy was 15m detonation, it got worse as AA, is just people didn't know how to use it. It was always a better SPAA than any other, except M247.
Phly completely neglected to mention all of the nerfs. There were a few. 1. The proxy HE shell has less than half the proxy range down to 6M from 15M. It is a much less effective AA now. 2. The APHE round was removed and replaced with SAPHE, which has less than half the penetration. The APHE round was way way better than the AP round. People would argue that it has better pen, but the APHE had WAY better angled armour pen, allowing it to sneek into weak angled armour such as BMPs and other light nonsense where the AP round would bounce clean off and deal no damage. The HE filler also had a massive explosion that would one shot most tanks.
There is also a massive buff he never mentioned, which is the big bump in ammo capacity. This kinda neglects the lesser detection on the proxy fuse, since you can take way more AA ammo now.
Just got further into the video. 4:45 perfect example of the APHE nerf. Both of those BMPs would have died from a single shot of APHE. But you're stuck with AP rounds which take 3-5 good shots to kill sometimes.
@@MarshalBeard All of his targets except for meaby 2 or 3 mediums would be APHE one shots without even aiming for the crew.
I loved Begleitpanzer at 8.0 but now at 9.0 I just don't wanna play it - too close to top tier.
@@beakwooda.k.aadregallus8788 they changed the Fuze distance for all shells since they reworked how the set off. I don't feel like they got worse after it.
Yo just wanted to say, I have NEVER played this game - probably never will because of the um... features let's say haha. That said I subscribed to your channel a few months back because you have a lot of heart and a great personality. We probably have very different lives but I always admire someone who can help other people enjoy their lives- especially if it's through art/games, much love bro stay safe in the world.

and a 630mm i-tow that only can side shot mbt's
right now this vehicle is only good against air targets
@@AmirDarkOne no its 9.0 in realistic ,arcade it's 9.3 and the 10.3 Russian tanks are just a more upgraded version of the 9.7 ones ,not much of a threat from the side either

It was the vehicle that got me my phirst nuke, and I’d like to see it and the ABUL/74 (specifically the 90mm) on the channel!
The combo means in any terrain you can get to a sneaky spot, and scout phor tons of SP!

There’s a weird thing with SAP ammo in War Thunder where, for both the Bagel and the Otomatic, it barely does any damage and the explosion is very small. It doesn’t really look like any other kind of shell in-game; it generates no spall and the burst radius is really weird.
You mean the semi armor piercing the one with the HE shell covered in an AP shell?

That TOW reload on the B-57 has to be the coolest animation on that vehicle.
Its nice finally having the stabilizer actually working, instead of saying it has one and the gun is all over the place. that said, I'm not sure I would've traded the APHE that was just dopamine concentrated; one-shotting most everything from the side. Yeah it has a SAP round with more explosive mass, but it lacks the penetration to be useful.
Sidenote: I feel like this thing is a better SPAA than the Gepard, not just because it's my favorite light tank, but also because of proxy shells and a laser rangefinder. I can almost never hit aircraft with the radar on the Gepard unless its a heli or super slow. Plus being proxy shells you don't need to be lazer accurate
It saying it has a stabilizer but not working came down to the fact that it worked only at lower speeds, You might’ve tried using it going to fast. In fact the Beg’57 has a cruise speed thats matched for the Stabilizer before it got its full Stabilizer.

You should check out the first french bomber in the tech tree. The F.222.2 has a BR of 2.3 and it’s first payload can carry 52 x 50kg bombs! Later payloads let you carry a total of 2,700 kg of bombs at 2.3!! It’s crazy unique as well!!
i havent played for years, got the bagel mostly researched and once i started playing again i was just dumbfounded as to how the bagel was killing me almost every life, this vid explains it lol
I have always loved this light tank. In fact, I bought it a talisman. I remember when it was one of the lowest br tanks to get thermal, the timer fuze and then the proxy fuze shell, before did not have the stabilizer so you have to go careful when driving fast, I was happy with the 8.3 version and almost nobod played it, they prefer to go with other 8.3. Now because it is mainstream they nerfed/buffed weirdly, and now sits at 9.0. Gaijin destroyed my lineup 2 times, the light DF 105 7.3 to 7.7 and now 8.3 to 9.0, because of youtubers making nuclears with these tanks. When Gaijin is gonna uptier the bmp2m?
Its not the RUclipsrs fault that these are going up in br. Its the win/loss ratio of the vehicle that tells Gayjing how the vehicle does. As for the BMP-2M it should go up but so many players just ge it and bring the win/loss ratio of the vehicle down
Best part of the old bagel panzer was the clown car capacity of having a crew of 5
Pretty much every ifv other than the bmp had a pen buff meanwhile the bmp’s are still sat on like 88mm of pen. If you’re playing an ifv you have to accept that when fighting other ifv’s it’s whoever shoots first wins 90% of the time
Salty german main tears. trust me when I say your German 8.3 lineup and 7.3 lineup was OP and something needed to be done. When you can get back to back nukes consistently, there's something wrong. I just play the 7.3 lineup, I'm also a Germain main, and the 7.3 and 7.0 lineup is also super OP. I take out the wiesel and the ho 229 and arado c3, as well as the marder and BMP. I've dropped 5 nukes with just the wiesel, 2 using the wiesel and ho 229, and I've gotten another 15 nukes that ran out of time or shot down by enemy or friendlies.
Just wait for puma to go to 9.7

It did get more buffs then just a stabilizer. It also got another 50 ish rounds of ammo and the apcbc shell did get a small penetration buff at the same time. It also got a buff to the turret traverse speed.
But it lost APHE sadly
I rly love begleit too, i highly recommend to bring some saphe rounds at 1'st slot, it has damn HALF KILOGRAM of tnt which is annihilating BMPs or any light armored vehicles, that's for avoid moments like bmp2 eating 3 AP rounds :P.
I'm also taking some AP rounds to penetrate side armor of russian MBTs or just use saphe bc there is a chance to overpressure T72 for example when shooting his commander cupola/hatch.
And ofc lovely HE-VT for air targets - begleit is best spaa till 10.0 in German TT, change my mind.
I like how in the video posted by Spookston today he made a joke about the Pumas being derpy aswell

I have just recently started playing war thunder (rn am only at Rank III on ground vehicles), and at the moment, my favourite vehicle in the game is the Sd.Kfz. 6/2. This is basically the Sd.Kfz. 6/2 but at a higher tier. Like phil said, no armour is best armour

I just wanna say Phly they changed turret rotation, used to be alot slower, they added stab and they changed APHE, APHE actually got nerfed, used to have less filler but more pen, around 98 if my memory serves me well, now its 45 i think. Begleit is my favorite german tank in 8.7 lineup so i know....
That is the SAP round. It was always there although no one really used it. The APHE got removed.

As a reminder, the Begleitpanzer was 8.3 before the stabilizer, than 8.7 than 9.0. And the BMP-2M is STILL at 8.7 despite having 8 proximity fuse AA missiles or 8 Tandem HEAT warheads that can be fired on the move, with Gen 2 thermals & an arguably better main gun for killing stuff due to the higher rate of fire.
The MK110 is an absolute beast. We use them on our ships and they rip.

I would rather that the Begleit kept the APHE round. 98mm of Pen and 108g of TNT equivalent means you can side shot most vehicles and one shot them. Still, the upgraded AP round is not bad.
i wouldn't be surprised if in a few months this gets boosted to 9.7 or something ridiculours. the stabelizer was a warm welcome and it really does excel in all types of engagements but too much attention recently

I hate to say it. I love this tank. I have over 4200 battles in it and lost count of the nukes it has given me. I was good with it before it had a stab. I am however, going to miss having the APHE.

How to you set your range after you used range finder?
Bofors really does know how to accidentally make AA guns into IFV weapons.
EDIT: Bofors made both a naval gun AND an anti-air 57mm cannon. This IFV uses the naval version but I called it an AA weapons because that is mostly what it's used for since it's not very effective against ships with the Mark 3 being able to use a 3P round.
