The ONLY mod used was the green blood, the grind to unlock of this was all me so PLEASE subscribe because it was brutal lmao! Also, I completely forgot to capture the tier list while recording the first half of the video, it starts showing up halfway through. Didn't think it was a big enough deal to edit back in since we say where we rank them each time anyway, sorry!
Also as with any list, these are our opinions we did just for fun and as an excuse to react to all these brutalities for the first time, so don't take it too seriously, which was your favorite?
Johnnys makeup artist radomly shanking someone is so silly to me. Like in universe it makes almost less sense than the action figure i love it
Really like the separate tier list idea. My opinion is somewhere between yalls most of the time and it’s hard to tell who I align w/ 😅

Geras brutality with shao kahn hammer was a throwback to mk11 when shao kahn beats geras with the hammer and kills him

I always had the feeling that Brutalities were just cut Fatalities and this ranking honestly solidified that. A lot of them were actually better than the Fatalities that were chosen too.
I've aways liked brutalities more. They just seem more brutal to be part of the gameplay instead of a sudden cut, and have certain ones where you just beat the opponent into the ground, or tear off their limbs and leave them crawling and bleeding out. Just feels cooler and more brutal to me!

Reptiple stomach rub is a call back to his mk 2 debut, he rubs his stomach after eating an opponents head during a fatality.
Fun Fact: If you look at the unlocks, one of General Shao's brutalities looks like it was supposed to be something having to do with his down, forward, 4, but it's currently not in the game.
I’m super disappointed that he doesn’t have one with that. And I can’t be the only one that thinks his back 3 grab move should be a brutality too.

Smoke not getting s tier is almost a crime he has one bad one which was the last one but the rest are worth of at least A+
impressive amount of grind and editing. usually i dont like the non-competitive or non-tech oriented/informative mk content but this is nice.
19:35. Shang Tsung Brutality is called "Bed of Spikes" this is a reference from the Mortal Kombat Trilogy Fatality.
I’m going to guess the Johnny action figure brutal is an Army of Darkness reference since the same thing happens to ash but with evil little clones of himself and he boils them alive in his stomach

FUN FACT: Raiden's first brutality here is a nod to how you guys didn't performed his fatalities correctly

reiko’s last brutality sends the torso flying if it isnt done in the corner its really fun to do
I think a lot these just missed personality like this was the perfect way to have havick replace his head wit the opponent, tanya call upon the ungodi girls or asrah to unleash her inner netherelam demon

I did that a few times for the sake of the video not being an hour and a half long, had to cut off a few tangents. Coulda done it more gracefully but I was exhausted by the time we were done with this lol sorry 🙏

Super dissappointed Reiko didn't get a Brutality with his ninja stars as a call back to one of his MK4 fatalities. He has the torso kick with his grab which was the other MK4 fatality.

You can also make Li Mei's lantern explode after the opponent has been take into the sky. I would also put Kung Lao in S not just because i'm biased but he deserves it.

Li Mei lantern, Johnny action figure and Kenshi’s 1st one = FUNNIEST ONES in the game
I actually rate uppercut brutalities differently based on what they use! They may be the same in concept, but it feels more brutal to use an axe or something instead of just a fist. I would rate Kung Lao higher if he used his hat for an uppercut like in some games for example.
I hate how the head just pops off. I like how in mk11 the movement seems more realistic
So if I recall from a previous video, an idea you had was you were going to rank the Arcade Ladder endings from MK1. Something I want to say about that which I feel you should know ahead of time, some of the endings are actually LINKED/CONNECTED with one another. I feel like knowing that would be helpful in ranking them overall. I feel like there are three categories they can be in: Endings that are fully linked (are together and must be watched in a specific order to make narrative sense), semi linked (endings that are together but can be watched in any order without any narrative disconnect) and one offs (the solo endings that aren’t connected to others). If you don’t care about spoilers, here are the endings that i think fit those categories:
Fully Linked endings:
Liu Kang and then Geras
Havik and then Rain
General Shao and then Reiko (Though depending on how you view it, Kitana’s ending could arguably be placed in between them.)
Sub-Zero and then Scorpion and then Smoke and then Raiden (Yeah, I wasn’t expecting four characters to all fit but here we are. Though this one was tricky to place. Sub-Zero’s ending definitely takes place before Scorpion’s, but it feels like both Smoke and Raiden’s endings take place in between points of Scorpion’s ending, if that makes sense…)
Semi Linked endings:
Baraka and Mileena
Kitana, Reptile, and Li Mei (Kitana’s placement is tricky, as I could also see her being put in between General Shao and Reiko in the “fully linked” category, but I couldn’t really decide which category made the most sense for her, so I’m mentioning her in both)
One off endings:
Ashrah
Johnny Cage
Kenshi
Kung Lao
Nitara
Shang Tsung
Sindel
Tanya
Hopefully if you do the arcade ladder ranking or tier list, this helps out in some way!

I think some of the glitches that occurred during the brutalities was probably something to do with the green blood mod. Maybe the modified client resulted in some peculiar issues that wouldnt occur in regular clients?
I've seen it in the normal game, particulary with Geras for some reason. And the brutalities aren't even listed right in the game so lots of bugs still...

The Klassic brutality really should knock the head further into the air, it just looks wrong otherwise

For some reason I can never hit subzeros slide brutality, whether I hit as the last hit or hit in a combo for the last hit it never activated

If there is one brutality that won't forget, it's from MKX Triborg Sub-Zero. The one where he does a divekick slide into a backflip and rips off their upper body.

I never realized how much I appreciated MK intros but I cant grind this game's towers without them. The fact you cant pin combos doesnt help either.

i really hope they add more brutalities in the future, i felt like there were more in mk11 and tbh a lot of the characters in mk1 only have a couple good ones while the rest are decapitation or making them explode with no real personality behind the executions
A tier gotta be sub zeros snow ball for me, the fact that the move is so slow then the execution is so slow and comedic is great especially from a character who isn’t comic relief like Johnny is

Havik should’ve had a fatality where he slams his own head on top of his opponent’s so hard, that he replaces their head with his, and he’s just on top of their flopped over body, laughing.
I'd have to say that Shang Tsung is my top of S Tier, just for the Skull attack alone, but the old MK3 nail bed Fatality reference really cemented it for me.

in geras's 1st brutality, shao kahn basically beat geras's head into a bloody mess in mk11 aftermath, and the brutality is basically geras doing the head smashing this time around.
What’s a fast way to master characters ? I play as much as I can but due to work and everything else with life it just feels like it takes forever with online matches or even invasions. Especially since I like learning new characters

Very late, but the screams aren’t voiced by Megan Fox. They are voiced by Cristina Vee. She voice acted as Noel Vermillion in Blazblue.
Nice way to get green blood on all characters except reptile (syzoth) because that's the color of his blood.
