To Zanarkand is the third piece I've ever recorded for this channel. It holds a lot of emotion for me and pretty much everybody who played through Final Fantasy X. It's such a great piece and for this remake I respected the original tempo of this song a lot more. Final Fantasy X is to me still the last great game of the series (I have high hopes for XV though), so playing this again really was a trip down memory lane.
Some adjustments to the sheet music have been made.

my son is constantly playing this on his keyboard. I didn't know where the tune came from but from listening to his playing it I find it a very beautiful piece of music.
It´s coming from an old very, very good computer game called Final Fantasy X.

A song that is a part of my soul at this point brings back nostalgia and emotions that are unexplainable and somehow hauntingly beautiful. Literally perfection.
Definitely still the best piece of music in games I’ve ever heard to this day. This whole piece just perfectly encapsulates the entire feeling of FFX.
To this day, after all these years, I can still listen to this and see the faces of Tidus & Yuna. I still get short of breath as the music stirs emotions that I rarely feel. This is exactly why I play video games, and D&D, and love movies. The stories and the art connected to them can change us forever. Thank you.

Just wanted to say I love this. I love how you actually show yourself playing it WITH synthesia "I think that's what it's called", that helps a lot. I also love how you kept to the song and added just enough of your own personal feeling into it that you could appreciate both aspects.

Hearing this brought tears to my eyes. Hearing this song again just gave me such a nostalgic feeling when I played final fantasy x. Just makes me wanna take my ps2 out of the garage and play the game all over again. Ty for taking your time to play and post it on RUclips :)
No matter what people say, this is a beautiful piece of music and will always be my complete fave out of the all the other beautifully composed ff music.

Been practicing this song for two days now, starting to remember most of it up until 1 minute into the video. I started playing the paino for two weeks ago so maybe this song is a bit hard, but whatever I like the challange. The song is just so damn beautiful.

@hEEdLesSLy I guess Alfonso died trying like a true warrior :p I've got my 1st keyboard ever just before Xmas, so far I can only play few simple pieces like godfather theme, carol of the bells etc. Then I found this video and started practising, even though I'm a FFVII fan and I love aerith's and tifa's themes somehow I enjoy this one even more. I wish I had a pedal tho to drag them notes out after releasing the keys (sorry idk the term for it).

Nobuo Uematsu is a musical genius
Seriously one of the greatest songs in any game ever. If there's one thing that FFX had, it was an amazing soundtrack.
This will probably get lost in the sea of comments, but my late best friend and I played through FFX together in high school, it was the last game we ever played before life moved us in different directions.
We had a fat PS2 that only read discs if the whole console was flipped upside down, and we shared it because we both came from really poor families. I still have the disc, and the memory card, and it wasn't until a few months ago that I decided to play the game again.
I'm at the end about to face off against Jecht, part of me doesn't think I should beat it, and I should just leave it there, I'm not sure yet what I'll do, but this piece of music has been so special to me and has taken on new layers of meaning as the years go by.
I'm happy so many people find it just as special

It’s always interesting to see what kind of flourishes, nuance and adaptations musicians will bring to very well composed simple songs that leave a little room. It’s a very good way to make something already enjoyable a bit more interesting. Remixing. Usually what I like best in covers. There’s always another way to do the same thing. True of any art.
A lot of people they disliked this song because they did not feel what song is telling them. I love this FFX Theme song.
One of my favorite songs ever, I play it on guitar as a warm up all the time. I learned it on the Xylophone in high school first then transferred the notes

It's a great tune. My son bought himself a keyboard and is constantly playing this. He does make an odd mistake and is trying to get it right. But he plays it as in video it's a beautiful piece of music.
I've never played final fantasy and I don't intend to, but my piano teacher gave me this because I wanted to play a lot of video game music(skyrim and fallout mostly) and another one of her students had it. I'm happy she did!
+Akh'sien_the_Khajiit_Assassin You should really reconsider playing ff. Even if it's not your style of gaming, the music and stories are phenomenal. This is just 1 of many of the great songs of ff. His earlier stuff is amazing. 9 had a lot of great piano pieces in it too. 6 had a lot of cool synth stuff.

+Sword of Sanghelios I always recommend final fantasy music. Especially for piano since Nobuo Uematsu is a pianist. Chrono trigger and legend of dragoon have some great songs too. Of course you have old school nostalgia like Pokemon or anything from that gameboy era, just love those older sounding game music. In terms of ff, 9 has a lot of great piano pieces, really any of them have a lot of cool pieces. Just spend a day and listen to a bunch of OST for the games. I mean there's whole piano collections cds for final fantasy, for a reason.
I always loved the powerful emotion in this one. It literally describes the impending doom via Big Bad, and the cost that the characters will have to pay in order stop it.
Knowing that these might be their final times as a band of brothers, the lonely party treads on in the ruined temple, trekking ever closer to destiny. And to fight some hot crazy with killer hair.
I've subscribed to your channel because you are one of the ONLY ones with the midi link in the description, I hate these clips where they show you something and then you have to spend hours hunting the correct one from the clip, if it's even available!
