@@Proamrc The prosecution promised to bring in scientists to testify about the accuracy of Greenglass’ drawings, but nuclear physicists refused because of the secrecy surrounding the atomic bomb. I m not even sure either the defense or prosecution were allowed to provide or give lots of explanation about the rather crude drawings. You might check Wikipedia on that. The testimony came from others working with Julius, including Ethel’s brother and his wife. It was later revealed that English physicist Klaus Fuchs, who’d also worked on the Manhattan Project was the real source of detailed information on the bomb, He was tried in the English court and was sentenced to only 20 years. In 1995, Russia provided the Verona file showing thatJulius and David Greenglass were definitely involved in spying for Russia. However, Ethel’s name was mentioned as perhaps only involved as a possible accessory. Unlike her husband and David and Ruth Greenglass, who were given code names by the KGB, Ethel was never given one. Greenglass later said on film that it was notorious attorney Roy Cohn who told him that if he would testify that his sister typed up notes for Julius and her brother, then they would let his wife Ruth, who was also a Communist, could go free. The prosecution believed that prosecuting Ethel would get Julius to confess. He never did. The Rosenberg’s two sons petitioned President Obama to exonerate Ethel as there was no evidence of her spying in Russian files, only Greenglass’ lies on the stand. In January 2017, it was announced that Obama had not exonerated Ethel Rosenberg posthumously. Julius was guilty, but probably would have probably not been executed if he confessed. People assumed that since Ethel was his wife and because they shared similar political views that she must have known something. But there was no direct evidence against her. Several other scientists from the Manhattan Project, such as Theodore Hall, were not revealed until the Verona files were made public.

The Rosenberg network “passed on the 12,000 page blueprints for the Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star, airborne radars for nighttime navigation and bombing,” and for innovations in radar technology.
Radosh quotes Steven Usdin from his 2005 book, Engineering Communism:
“Rosenberg’s band of amateur spies turned over detailed information on a wide range of technologies and weapon systems that hastened the Red Army’s march to Berlin, jump-started its postwar development of nuclear weapons and delivery systems, and later helped Communist troops in North Korea fight the American military to a standoff.”

Fun FACT they BOTH where Jewish. Also up too 83% of the U.S.S.R. Governmental body where Jewish. Also let us not forget that Leon Trotsky REAL NAME ( Lev Davidovich Bronshtein ) was inspired by the famous Jewish writer Karl Marx.

Actually we do. The Soviet archives were opened in the 1990's, revealing that Rosa was not a spy at all and Julius was a recruiter, but not a spy himself.

@@diversejoe617 - took a moment to check, and the specific documents the Rosenbergs were convicted of passing to the Soviets was instead passed along by physicist Klaus Fuchs, who actually confessed to the spying in 1950.

Just because we were allies with Russia during World War 2, it was far from us being buddy buddy with them. Stalin made aggressive plans to get through to Berlin at the end of the war because they were opportunistically looking to get as much as they could in the post war negotiations.
