- Pretty Boy Floyd was a gangster you did not want to mess with, and during his spree of bank robberies he became somewhat of a folk hero for the locals, robbing the rich and giving to the poor. But Pretty Boy Floyd would face off with the cops one too many times and ultimately catch a bullet, but his story has gone down in history. In today's new video we're going to show you the rise and fall of one of histories most notorious gangsters, Pretty Boy Floyd.

My great grandpa had a run in with Pretty Boy Floyd when he was just a young school boy, he was walk home after school one day and it was a hot day. But on his way home a car pulled up beside him, and the man in the car was Floyd, my grandpa at the time had no clue, but the man offered him a ride home, and at this time you didn't have to worry about kidnapping. So my grandpa accepted the offer and got in, a little ways down the road he looks at the back seat and there where a lot of Thomson's submachine guns, shotguns, and hand guns. He didn't ask about it, but when they got to his home, he found out later that night that in the news that Pretty Boy Floyd was in the area, this was in the Missouri/Kansas area
your grandpa is one lucky man, not just because he wasn't harmed by them, but because he got a ride home by Pretty Boy Floyd. That's amazing.

If you knew anything about the Thompson Submachine gun, you would have known it was invented in 1917, but was too late in production for WWI. By the way, Mr. Floyd was a distant cousin of mine and yes, he did show his Tommy Gun to folks here in Oklahoma. His youngest brother later became Sheriff and died in office in the early 1970's. Look it up.

My great grandmother used to hangout with Floyd. We have a picture of her on his shoulders swimming in a creek with a rope swing in the background. Really cool she said he was a very sweet guy

My great grandparents are from oklahoma, they're native American and actually helped out pretty boy floyd when his car got stuck in a river somewhere out behind their house while trying to evade the law.

My biological dad’s name is Floyd and he tried to rob three banks so when I saw the title I was confused asf lol
This is one of my relatives and I was told he got his nick name from a bar girl saying “ here you go pretty boy” and well it stuck around with everyone in the room also worked with Capone but went back on to robbing one more thing every Christmas he would walk down the street giving homeless people and children money and presents they also covered the bullet holes at the station and there’s only a little sign now. Btw he got caught because his car broke down and he and some guy split up he was sitting on the road saw the cops booked it into the forest. He ran into a house with an old lady she actually made him food he gave her money they actually pulled up to the house so he took off they chased him and shot him in the side with a bolt action rifle witch anyone knows that your done for. That’s what I’ve been told by family never got told if he really was at Kansas City I think the family didn’t know where he was then

read a article about bank robbers in maxim a while ago.. average bank robbery in this era nets 5k... aint worth it unless you are some pro criminal knowing when to strike
Not worth it today. Most accounts are electronic now. What you could do instead is rob ATMs or learn hacking and hack banks/ATMs to withdraw money without using force.
