*Works perfectly for my use as a heated press **MyBest.Tools** Space between the ram jack and the base is a little tight. Make sure you set the ram jack arm so that it's in a position for you to get maximum leverage on whatever you're pressing. You may have to unbolt the front plate of the press and realign the ram in the teeth so that the arm is not at an awkward angle when fully cranked down.Other than aligning the ram in the teeth with the crank arm this .5 ton arbor press comes out of the box pretty much ready to use.*

Thanks for the video. I was wondering...what are the dimensions of the steel plate you put under the ceramic? Thanks.

Very informative video! I got some scrap countertop material that I need to cut to size and round the front corners like you did. What did you use for those procedures? Any cutting tips would be appreciated. Thanks for the video.

For the metal adjustments I used a chop saw & 4" grinder, And for the countertop, I used my band saw. I think a jigsaw with proper blade would work fine on the countertop as well. Make sure you clamp your work piece down well, if you go with jig saw.

@@applewoodthree Thank you. Is your countertop material like granite or a more plastic type of material? Do I need a different blade for the band saw than the one that is used for wood?

@@shirleymalar304 The material that I used was more of a hard imitation type countertop. If you are dealing with granite, you might want to try a small angle grinder with a masonry cut off wheel.

I would love to see if a nail clipper could be attached to your press? Great video btw.

Well, I did it on my floor drill press, holding it very straight with the aid of a drill press vice, that I bought either at Harbor Freight, or Menards. I started first with smaller drill bits until the 1/2 inch bit worked smoothly. It was a slow prosses, but I use this press all of the time. Any machine shop could do it for you, but I don't know what it would cost. Hope this helps,& Happy New Year!
