Coming from a 44 year old very soon, this band Dark tranquillity deserves to be a million time more know than they are. My all time fav band. The song fabric is my fav then comes lethe and so much more. Iron maiden was fav band before I discover DT around 2003.
Fabric was the first song I ever heard by DT. Absolutely beautiful.
Well I think they are a very known band, not like Slipknot or Trivium, but in the Melodeath Scene they are in the top 4 of most known bands for sure.
Fabric is a good choice man!
I like Feast of Burden
lots of benefits to not blowing up huge you want to pay 200£ + to see DT from a million miles away in a oversized arena or pay like 30-40£ and see them in a more intimate venue with huge success I feel the disconnect between fans grows. You could go to a DT gig and meet Mikael at the bar for a beer like I did a few years ago.
RIP Fredrik...have no words.
Чë с ним?
Best melodeath band
Omair Sheikh Absolutely agree. Easily the best one at changing up their sound but retaining the core that made them great.
Guy Man yea that things are better than in flames
after in flames
Omair Sheikh Is
i prefer Carcass
Really great documentary, focusing on an amazing, influential band. Loved seeing Anders, Tompa, Frederick, and all the original Swedish melodeath guys. They really started something special. \m/
I always say DT is like Iron Maiden of MDM genre. Longest reign, most classic albums and songs, and it's not very close!!
And the whole Gothenburg scene is legendary....crazy to see Tomas Lindberg, such an intelligent and calm guy but he has a scream straight out of hell!
Вообще разные dt и айрон мейдон.
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️вообще не рядом
Damage Done & Character changed my life.
This band made me to be a human, otherwise I would be a human hating being. Thank you very much
do you see what i see? their eyes, they all are good people. no hatered, no bad energy coming from their eyes
Yes, they are some of the kindest people I know.
Thinking the same....very opposite to their neighbours from Norway....Am I right or wrong?
Sweden is a great place to live, people are generally happier there. Probably not so much since they let extremist Muslims invade, though.
I got into Dark Tranquillity because I heard somewhere Amon Amarth are fans of them. I’m glad I did. The lyrics are really deep and introspective. no matter how dark and unsettling the subject matter is, there’s something empowering about just facing the damn enigma or the outright problem. The music is really powerful and unique - and the unique part is hard to do for metal. I like the clean vocals as well as the distorted growled vocals; the mood is more precisely conveyed, in my perception. The distorted vocals are extremely clear to understand. The keyboards too - that added a great stark element. This is definitely one of my favorite bands!
I love dark tranquillity, this video was badass! I remember seeing them live at house of blues in Anaheim, CA. It was a spiritual experience, me and my brother were so close to the front stage I swear i could feel the energy off the band. One of the best experiences of my life. Thank you guys. Its been years but I'm trying to see you guys live again. Keep it going and be true to yourselves.
Saw them there with Arch Enemy and Firewind! DT is insanely good live
In love with Gothenburg scene since 1995......Dark Tranquility, old In Flames, At the Gates!Thank you all forever, still follower!!!
I can't believe that they live in such a peacefull place yet they make such a dark and dense music.
Can Ozan Karakulak It ain't that dark.
+Sam Fouani i would say it is rather dark :D
I wasn't bashing DT. I like them a lot and was kickin it with Mikael last week; took pictures with the band before the show and they ended up hanging out at the bar after the show. Such a down to earth and nice guy.
@@virginia3937 Why do you think so? To me they are just melancholic, not miserable...
Tranquility
Saw this for the first time today Sep 2022…I just start listening (after so many years), The Gallery album…all the energy and passion behind. Thanks for your contribution DT!! 💙
Legends. The entire world doesn't know it yet but DT is without a doubt one of the best band of melodeath metal. I can be so sure that their music will live on to become the favorite tracks for newer generations to come.
26:12 Imagine you're filming and the director just said, "you think people will like hand?"
Guys time to come back to india! I was the one with the Swedish flag at your indian gigs! I'll be present again, come back soon!
Love DT and the direction they’re going they make me feel so good
I'm happy to see a documentary about this amazing band.
Hands down the best band out there today!! Every album is a front to back masterpiece & they're albums just keep getting better while consistently remaining the DT that put out the Gallery decades ago!!! Not to mention the fact that their live experience is TO THE T perfectly executed as if you were listening to the album!!! DT for life!!!
Century Media
DT badass as always
I love Dark Tranquillity!!! \,,/
Man, I cant wait to see them live again. Saw them 2 yeqrs ago and wow, the energy and positivity, I cant describe it. It felt like I was in such a good place for hour - hour and a half. Show was great and setlist was almost perfect for me. Place wasnt packed at all(only like 40-50% capacity full), but it was perfect. Hope to see you guys again in Zagreb!
At the Gates, In Flames and Dark Transquility lived 10 minutes away in the same neigjborhood. What a neighboood ❤
To anyone curious:
First song in the opening credits is "My Negation" then The Endless Feed.
This band was my gateway into extreme metal two decades ago. I've since left this kind of melodeath behind in favor of nastier filthier black and death metal bands that hit a little harder but I'll always have a special place in my heart for DT.
The same here. I've reach and found my favorite metal bands who are more darker and heavier, but DT is the metal band that led me to those other bands. DT is also a band i listen to this day. They've got unforgettable tracks and melodies without the need to go extreme. The perfect mix. 🤘
must have been filmed before Martin left. great documentary
Martin left somewhere around 2016.
Best Henriksson's quote is: "..."
This, Omnium Gatherum and Insomnium are like the holy trinity of melodeath.
DigitalSquirrel Well I'd say the best are Dark tranquility, at the gates (slaughter, terminal spirit disease and at war with reality) , carcass (heartwork and surgical steel) and in flames for their first 4 albums.
Insomnium for sure
Rick King They wouldn't be in three most important bands who pioneered the sounds and made some of the best albums in metal, that would be dark tranquility, at the gates and in flames.
Insomnium is great but that's mostly due to the fact that DT's drummer, Anders Jivarp, does his thing. That being said I'd say I'd disagree w/u, but it's remains a fact that you're wrong. Blasphemy to not have At the Gates in there!!!! Shame shame, ya know u lame.
I dont know who you are but I love you costco style
nice nice!!!!!!! love this band
Dark Tranquility is my favorite metal band; I would easily rate them above Soilwork, another of my favorites.
amo esta banda DT por muchos años más
Love the Gothenburg scene 🤘🇸🇪🤘
The hyperactive camerawork, extreme close-ups, and bizarre record scratch sound effects are extremely distracting and the music overlayed on the interviews makes it difficult to hear the speakers.
longtime since I saw this, I have to watch it again now :)
Del 89 hasta 91 fue y será sus inicios
Quanta noticia boa!!! Álbum novo e já em seguida um comunário!!!!!
Yes Fred, The Gallery is their best...

Fakely Dudely Have fun man!! I'm finally seeing them for the first time next month in Las Vegas !
6:00 young Anders Friden 😮
holy shit
probably because it's him
Anders during his prime time
I was hoping they would explain why In Flames and Dark Tranquility switched vocalists with each other after their first albums. (I'm glad they did, though, it was the right move)
I've never this wow!
Genial DT \m/
I was actually sad when this video ended just now :(
What’s song 18:35 ?
Video in 360p, or it's something wrong on my side?
Is there a way to edit the audio to where the sound of their boots crunching the gravel beneath their feet doesn’t blast loudly over all dialogue?
Agree the sound design is terrible.
Wow, Sundin with hair.
What's got into you to distract me the whole time with the music in the background???
واو💕
please, add spanish subtitles :D
