This Chinese song by singer/ songwriter Han Hong is based on a real story of a cable accident, where parents mabaged to save the life of their little boy by liftjng him above their heads. Only the boy survived and was later adopted by Han Hong. The accident was in a place famous for its waterfalls, hence the waterspouts.

As others have said this is a true story, and Dimash is singing here is Chinese at his Solo Concert Bastau 4 years ago in 2017 to a sell out audience of over 40,000. All his concerts are sell out, he is incredible . Please don't worry Dimash's family is the most loving, big musical family. He has been in musical education from the age of 5 and is highly educated, now finishing his PhD in Musicology. His mother is an operatic soprano and Dad a record producer and performer . So no, this isn't at all personal but Dimash is a phenomenon who was a child prodigy and was found to have perfect pitch, perfect hearing by his first teacher and that was the start of his obsession with music. He us a workaholic, perfectionist and he is constantly humming or singing. Dimash is music. He is also very humble, kind, generous and a huge humanitarian. Soon to be coming to live in the US temporarily to promote his music there, like he did in China for almost 4 years. Hopefully you will get the chance to see Jim perform live ❤
Love your Dimash reaction videos, I can tell you really love his music 🎶

He did not experience anything similar in his own life, but it was explained that when he first heard this song when he was 10, he was so moved that he was physically shaking. Dimash was raised in a very loving, supportive family. The idea of losing one's parents so young is what made him feel the song so viscerally.

He is a very smart person. He does life performances because there is where he can transmit his feelings to his audience. He only has one record out. ID it was a platinum record in 5 days.
Dimash had a very happy life with a very loving family. He still lives with his family when he is not in China. His family goes with him every time he has a solo concert. He adores his grandparents. In fact, he says that they are his mom and dad. His parents are second mam and second dad. He has a sister and a brother. They have performed with him in some of his concerts.
    I enjoy your reaction a lot.💝🙏

Dimash was raised by his grandparents for the first ten years. This is the norm in Kazakhstan so that the parents can build up their home and careers. I think they all lived together in the same house though, I believe Dimash still lives in the home together with them all when he is in Kazakhstan..

This song is about a tragic accident, in the 1990s there was a cable car accident, a couple held up their 2 year old baby boy and rescuers managed to grab him before the cable car fell. He was the only one to survive thanks to his beloved parents that morning. Its so sad and the lady who wrote this song is a singer called Han Hong, she adopted the little boy, his name is Pan. 2017 (I think) Dimash performed this version and brought the house down with it. The sadness and tragedy are in every note he sings. So yes it's emotional, but also extremely sad and heartbreaking.
I hope you read your comments as I am subscribed and don't see any responses from you guys. Still enjoy your reactions and Dimash is our true love, he's beautiful, our supernova 💕💖

This is a true story of a Chinese family on a overcrowded cable car when an accident caused it to break free and plummet to the death of 14 people including the parents of the 2 1/2 yr old boy. The parents lifted their child to safety moments before they fell to their deaths. Han Hong, a famous Chinese singer, heard about the orphaned boy and adopted him. She then wrote 'Daybreak' and all of China heard this heartbreaking song. Dimash heard this song and was deeply moved. When he was on 'The Singer' show in China, he got permission from Han Hong to sing this song. Dimash then became very ill and lost his voice before the performance. He had injections in his throat and was told by the doctor 'no high notes'. He was able to sing the song while in much pain, and then immediately lost his voice after the performance. It was a beautiful and moving performance even though not at full voice. After that show, Dimash had his big concert in Bastau. All songs on this concert are incredible and he was in perfect voice throughout. This is his performance of 'Daybreak' from that concert and it is stellar and mind blowing in voice and his ability to totally immerse himself in the story telling of this tragic event. It is one of my favorite performances by Dimash. Thank you for appreciating Dimash and becoming Dimash Dears with the rest of us! :)

This song was written from the point of view of the child whose parents lifted him out of the cable car to safety, just before falling to their deaths. The song is about that very moment. So if it's full of desperate energy, that's how I imagine that very moment to be. Literally screaming for your parents to live. Kills me everytime.

I think that most of us prefer to listen to Dimash in this sad, emotional repertoire that moves us to the depths of hearts His voice and this how he interprets songs, how he communicates emotions
In 1999, in the south-west China, there was a tragic accident A cable car jumped up and fell from a height, there were people inside Some of them died, some survived with injuries There was also a young couple with their 2.5 year old son who, in the face of this tragedy, kept the child up high to cushion this fall And they succeeded, the boy survived Unfortunately they both died in this accident Hong Han was shocked by the story And she was so overwhelmed that she adopt the boy after a while. He wrote the song two years later and she tells the story of this day from the boy's perspective. it was a beautiful day.
And Dimash must somehow face these emotions
    Dimash unfortunately fell ill
and it was an inflammation of the throat I think or maybe something like what happened to me recently and trust me, I couldn't speak I've tried several times to record Daididau reaction I started, I said two sentences, and unfortunately my voice broke it's just that we're trying to get some sound, but we have absolutely no control over it voice "fly" in a completely different direction and brings us a different sound than we would like to get So I think there is nothing worse for a singer before the show rather than infection of the vocal cords While this is a concert - you can postpone it but here is the competition, live, so there is no such option so the atmosphere was nervous of course, they tried to heal Dimash and save him from oppression just before the performance, one of the participants gave him a mysterious vial of liquid I do not know what it was - maybe some Chinese mixture? but it probably helped ;-)
I'm sure many of you have heard this performance from the Bastau concert from Dimash's solo concert which was a few months later in Kazakhstan and the fact is that performance is better than this (imho) First - he sang a little differently, i like more version from Bastau and maybe actually during the program he did not feel comfortable because of illness, so next performance is better because he was healthy

Dimash has 2 professional singer parents, but his grandparents raised him and he calls them 'Mom & Dad'. This is a tradition in Kazakhstan, where the 1st born child is raised by the grandparents. Dimash thought that his birth parents were his aunt & uncle until he was 10yrs old. The whole family is very tight and loving and all are involved in Dimash's singing career and management. He has a brother & sister. He was trained extensively in music and singing since he was 3yrs. old. He has literally sung/trained/performed every single day since then. He has said that if you cut open his heart you will find music, and if you cut open his brain you will find music. He is humble, loving, giving. He does not drink/smoke/party etc. He lives and breaths music. He has said that he wants to conduct his life and his music career in a way so that when he is older and he is sitting in the audience, that no one will think of him as arrogant and entitled because of his career and fame, but instead people would feel at ease and comfortable to sit in the audience with him as equals. On another note, he is 6'3" and model proportions and is just a gorgeous human. He does a lot of modeling and promotes different products this way. He donates an incredible amount of money and food and supplies to those in need. He donates the flowers that he receives to nursing homes. He has a 6+ octave range. Igor Krutoy (a famous Russian composer) came out of retirement to work with Dimash, resulting in several incredible songs/performances. Igor wrote 'Olimpico', 'Your Love', 'I Miss You' and more just for Dimash and his unique range and abilities. Dimash has made several movie soundtracks, game soundtracks, multiple music videos of incredible high quality, covers, written/co written songs, directed a mv, and more. His catalog is quite large. He recently held #1 on MTV for 6 wks. He is planning on coming to California to learn about and participate in music there. He has improved his English to where he no longer needs a translator. He sings in 12- 14 languages and many genres. Dimash is the best voice/singer on the planet and more!!! :D

    Daybreak...touching story :)
Song was writen ang singing for first time by Han Hong ,one of the famous Chinese singer and songwriter.
She wrote that is based on a true story, which moved her considerably.
At the moment that the cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old kid survived, while her parents both died.
Deeply touched by the story, Han also adopted the kid.
She said she feels empathy with the boy, more than others, since she herself lost her father at the age of six.

I agree with the two of you saying that Dimash is singing universally and transmitting emotions even more deeply than the lyrics can. Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. This song was based on a true story. A little boys' parents were killed when the cable car they were on broke. They saved the child but they both perished. The original writer and singer of the song adopted the little boy. Dimash first sang this when he performed on Singer 2017. He lost his voice the day before the performance and had to get throat injections. When he walked out on stage you could see on his face that he did not feel well. The composer and original singer called Dimash to thank him for singing her song. There are a series of short videos, 12 in all, called "The Ultimate Guide to Dimash. There are interviews with him, his family and so many others who know the real Diamsh. He is a very humble guy and so dedicated to his craft. He said that since he was 2 or three, he has never wanted to do anything but sing. He began music school when he was five.

    Dimash Kudaibergen.
Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was found to have perfect pitch. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz, was a major in Vogel technique. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and receiving his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He has since started his PhD.
He currently has a vocal range of over 6 octaves but he is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of both arrange you have but in fact what you do with it. He has won many prestigious awards and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan.
He has performed songs in 12 different languages. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh, some Chinese and is pretty good in English and Is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it.
At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in a Chinese singing show for professional singers. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China.
He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. He has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well.
Is vocals range from a rich low baritone to extremely high soprano notes. On at least one occasion he has Hit a D8 in whistle tone for 5 seconds with vibrato.
He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. His concerts are usually about 3 hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres.
He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turn this position down to pursue his own path in neoclassical and contemporary music.
He's a multi-instrumentalist, competent on 8 instruments including piano, drums and the native Turk/Kazakhstan two-stringed instrument called a dombra.
As of May 24th, 2021 he will celebrate his 27th birthday. He is most widely known through his live performances that has released several albums the first one going platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in less than an hour.
It has been recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has designated his "Dears"
He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history.
    Bravo, Dimash.

His talent was discovered very early on and from the age of 5 he attended musical schools and colleges. He's currently holding a BA, 2 Masters and is working on his PhD in music - he's very smart! Dimash was raised by his paternal grandparents, whom he called his mom & dad. It is apparently a Kazakh tradition that the 1st born of a new couple be raised by the grandparents. He is close to his actual parents too- his mother & father are both singers, his father became his manager at some point during the Singer I think. He has a younger brother & sister (who were raised by his biological parents, whereas he was raised by his grandparents.. not exactly sure how it worked but family, faith, being a man of honor dignity & representing your family & country proudly are all at the core of Dimash. You can see videos of him when he was like 5-10yrs old speaking about these things lol.

As has been mentioned, the composer of the song wrote it to honour the sacrifice of a couple who in a split second realization, during a real life cable car accident, knew the only way their toddler may survive was to hold him above their heads so their bodies would take the brunt of the impact. Being only two, he of course wouldn't remember most of what happened, but Han Hong, the originator of the song, researched the real event even taking a cable car ride to better understand the tragedy, and having lost her own father at around 5 or 6 years old may have used her own tragedy to write the lyrics, and, feeling for the orphaned child, later adopted him. He'd be in his early to mid 20's now and apparently doing well. Dimash said he'd heard the song when he was very young and it made him tremble. Both he and Han Hong sing it with much reverence to unconditional love.

BRAZIL - Dimash is pure emotion, the music is based on real events that happened in China in 1999. There was an accident with a cable car, a couple managed to save their son until help arrives. Chinese singer HAN HONG wrote the lyrics to this song and adopted the boy. A great act of love by this woman and friend of Dimash since 2017, from the SINGER contest in China.

Based on a true story. His first performance of this was on the show “the singer “. Dimash said that the first time he heard this song his body was shaking. His version on the show was very emotional for the audience and they didn’t know what drama happened to Dimash prior to the performance. Not going to spoil it but it’s a must see. They list it”with backstory “. About the belts.. those represent the cries of a scared boy who lost both of his parents and the man who still grieves.

Dimash has a wonderful supportive family. He seems to be especially close to his grandmother and father but as a whole, that family is absolutely awesome. You will see them in videos attending his concerts. His father is deeply involved in helping to manage his career, his younger brother plays the Dombra at many of his concerts. His younger sister who is seriously beautiful has been accepted in to med school. If you would like to see is mother, do Marigolds from the Kiev concert. It is a deeply moving song he sang as a surprise to her and from what I understand, he and the keyboard player learned the song over night . You might want a tissue close by.

👉 This song based on a true tragic story. In 1999 14 people died in a cable car accident in China. The parents of a little boy lifted their son to safety, and they themselves died. Original singer and songwriter Han Hong later adopted the child. First, Dimash sang this song 2017 at the competition "The Singer". (There is an interesting background video on Gloria Wu's channel with the first version of this song by Dimash).🌼🇩🇪

Beautiful and sad song. One of the things I like about Dimash is he doesn’t go overboard with the vocals if he doesn’t have to and it still captivates you. Please check Autumn Strong 2020 Arnau Tour in Kiev and/or Amanat which is more traditional and cultural. Have a good one

The lyrics perfectly described the cable car accident: parents lifting him up together at the moment they hit the ground, to shelter him with their bodies, the deafening sound of the car landing. The rescuers found him at daybreak the next morning. Hence the title.
And honestly, Dimash's technique is as always without fail, but the original singer, han hong's version touches me more.

Thank you for your time. As one of the commentators already mentioned, if you really wish to succeed in reacting to Dimash and get the attention of people, you MUST read about him, his background and, as important, about his songs, so you'll look and sound more professional and knowledeable. The stories of his songs will make it easier for you to understand him and his message. Without knowing the story behind the song, you're not there yet... Good luck.
