A few minutes ago Dimash did a small message to us to say his video for Be With Me will be released tomorrow evening. He sang adagio like his life depended on it. He hadn’t done so well in the comp the previous week with Uptown Funk so he gave everything on this. He plays seven instruments. Drums, dombra, piano, xylophone etc. He is absolutely dedicated to every angle of music. He composes and directs too.

Когда я услышала "Адажио" Димаша впервые, на несколько секунд потеряла дар речи, ощущение пространства и времени.Никогда и ничего подобного со мной не случалось( я не самый сентиментальный человек).Это было какое-то потрясение.СПАСИБО Ди за это.!!!
Подписчиков то у Димаша много, миллионы на разных каналах, а голосующих мало , даже пары тысяч не набирается . На МTV по пятницам голосуют со всего мира всего от 3 до 5 тысяч человек в обычные дни. Из них за Димаша голосуют наверное 1-1,5 тысячи? За Араши голосуют больше ( не меньше 1,5-2 тысяч) но из-за бесчисленных смайликов теряют голоса, поэтому раньше не могли никак пробиться на первое место. В этот раз ни взяли огромным числом. Их было наверное около 3 тысяч. Даже Кевин сказал, про массивное голосование Арашей. Поздравляю их с победой в упорной борьбе. Glad you mentioned that key change that sounds like out of key in a way.That shows you really are listening intently that’s why you both are so interesting being real on your presentation.However...that is one of Dimash’s ability that no one touches because it could be interpreted as out of key, or one can totally derail or be out of tune completely as the intensity of tune escalates.That was his game changer in that episode of “I am singer 2017” taking the overall top votes from the audience...co-contestants (all prestigious professional award winning singers) and viewers at home.He can roll and flip the tune a few key higher in milliseconds and still continue without any flaw while us mere mortals...will be totally ruin the whole subsequent remaining tunes even just trying.
He is so knowing his ability that his coach explains how DIMASH is phenomenal.

Dimash won that round when he sang Adagio & it became one of his greatest loved covers. He beat out all the top older established professional singers with his cover of Adagio. The famous singer Lara Fabian of Adagio, was blown away when she heard Dimash’s version & he went on to sing with her & another great Aida Garifullina the amazing song Ti Amo Cosi which you should react to. Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, piano, drums, dombra, guitar & several others. He also sings in at least 10 or more languages & everything he does he does perfectly. Dimash won’t sign with any label because he wants to keep control of his music. He would be more know if he was with a label because they would hook him up with radio, TV & all over the place but I’m happy he remains in control & is doing everything his way. He is becoming more world renowned with his millions of Dears (fans) in over160 countries & his concerts before the pandemic were all sold out, including his New York concert at the Barclays Center. He is the artist to see.
Frankly, this is the first time ever I hear an opinion about a mismatch between his singing and the music. This song was analysed to death by plenty of professional vocal coaches, and nobody mentioned such a thing.
Hi Guys, Excellent reaction to this superb performance from Dimash. Dimash started at music school when he was 4 1/2 yrs old he astounded his then teacher being able to name any note played randomly on the piano, be it white or black keys. At 8 yrs old he won a piano competition in his own city and at 15yrs old won young musician of the year playing piano. It is strange he his not more widely known in the west but he shot to the fore after his first appearance on the chinese singing competition "Singer 2017" He was first on in episode one having been invited onto the show as the wildcard, over 2billion people saw that performance (SOS) and most of those became instant fans. He has signed to a management agency in the USA. and since has been voted No1 six times in a row on Friday night MTV, so hes not doing badly at all !!👍👍👌👌😊😊

Ah Asia, he was totally on pitch and so were the musicians and backing vocalists. He chose to use harmonics in his embellishments but it's an unusual sound. Also the harmonies of the backing vocalists give the impression of dissonance. The more you listen to this the more you'll get it. I wasn't sure about this when I first heard it but now it's one of my favourites, so much drama. Love your reactions you two and so happy your promoting Dimash, thank you ❣🙏

Yeah the first time I listened to it I felt the same, I feel as though its because of his tonal changes which no one is use to hearing because Dimash is the first to display changes like he does. The dissonance factor plays on the ear also but yeah its an artistic choice I guess.

Dimash was facing elimination this round b/c he finished last the round before w/ the Uptown Boogey performance so he pulled out all the acrobatic stops & crushed it finishing 1st this round..... T realize it's a diff sound to the ear but I've never say they did not like it - but I respect Asia & her opinion & anyone else b/c it is a big chance from the opening section & one of the many wonderful attributes of musical performance is the individual tastes & preferences we all possess........

I certainly saw and heard him play the piano, dombra, guitar and drums. At all he performed excellently. In fact, I know that at the age of 7 he won his first piano competition in his country! I know he plays 3 more instruments, but I haven't seen or heard him with them so I don't comment on the quality. It doesn't make sense to talk about the vocal part at this moment because you are neither deaf, nor musically uneducated, nor malevolent. In every song Dimash make changes to make the song his own, so he begun lower than Lara Fabian (he could that being a man) and finished higher than she does (because his vocal range is so large) ! For that is perfectly undestandeble to make key changes ! Changing keys is not unique to Dimash, he practices this not only when the composer gives him a song composed like this (such as Your Love composed by Igor Krutoy, or Opera 2 by Vitas with a single key change, but sung by Dimash with 3 key changes) but also as a contribution to make that song belong to him by printing his personal imprint! In Love Is Like A Dream he introduced 3 major changes in the sequence that started with Ave Maria and continued with Ave amor for sure and with the acceptance of Igor Krutoy who accompanied him on the piano and was the songwriter! At Dimash nothing is accidental, he is a perfectionist, at him everything is deliberate. I've already listened to over 10 versions of Dimash for SOS and there aren't 2 songs in the same way. As a personal opinion, without being a qualified opinion (not being a professional musician) the best being the one from the event organized by Sisters City International on the occasion of Mr. Joe Biden as President of the USA!

All his solo concerts, so far, have sold-out in major cities of China🇲🇪, Russia🇷🇺, Kazakhstan🇰🇿, England🏴(London), and US🇺🇸(NY). Often, but not always, it takes "A Machine" to put people on the map. Primarily it's been Dimash's Dad as head of the team. It will be interesting to see how things progress if they decide to add more people, familiar with the industry 🎶🎵, to their existing circle.

Love the reaction. Dimagio should be more known in the USA. I discovered him just 3 months ago. I'm in love with his music. He is the best singer in the world.
Dimash understands the importance of conveying the real story of music through performance. His total commitment to the story in appearance, dress, body language, and emotion is like a mini-opera. Or a Popera if you like. His intense operatic, blues, jazz, folk, world, and pop music training are all elements within the story. Every performance is a work of art that captures the Yin and Yang of humanity. Without vibrational balance, we are lost, which I believe Dimash totally understands through his own great humanity. The world is hungry for that reconnection.
Dimash was set to work on his career in the west and then COVID hit, putting everything on hold. He had been working with famous Producer Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey and other notables worked with Walter) and I'm sure that will pick up at some point.
Dimash will be moving to the U.S. soon in order to promote himself here and I can't wait!!

Dimash is well known around the world, but he is still working on the American market. He is coming to America soon, to California. He now can speak English without an interpreter. Dimash plays multiple instruments: piano, drums, dombra, etc. , I've seen him playing guitar, xylophone too. He is amazing!
I really would hate to see Dimash move to the U.S, where American money-focus would chip away at his wonderful personality, with music industry moguls pushing contracts in his face and urging him to abandon the traditional Kazakh songs he loves so well, to write and sing more commercial, less "quality" works. It would be all about their profits, as they would try to tie him up in commitments that destroyed his freedom, and kept him from returning, when he wished, to the mountains and steppes of his beautiful, beloved homeland,
He isn't ours, you know, and he would not make a happy transplant. If he comes to study, fine, but we should remember that we are incredibly lucky to have his music and an occasional concert, here in our country. He also belongs to the rest of the world, and he is Asian, first.
In the past, we Americans have had a habit of thinking that we could take whatever we saw, that we wanted. During the 20th Century this resulted in our having the name, among other nations, as The Ugly American. Let us show that we have learned better, and not try to treat Dimash like a beautiful Kazakh figurine with an angelic voice.

He will never leave his homeland or his family for any long period of time. We would love to have him here but he's not "ours." He is a loyal Kazakh.

This was more in the beginning of his being known here, and those people were well-meaning, naturally more than willing to make him welcome here. But at that time I think most of his American fans had not really gotten to know his character, had not become accustomed to the kind of principles and expectations he had grown up with, not used to the idea of a person fulfilling the responsibilities to family and so forth, that is more commonly practiced in families of elevated situation in some other countries and societies. It seemed hard for some of us to love someone as much as his Dears love him, and not have the chance to see him more than once every two or three years.
Dimash went to music school at age 4. He is just so angelic and captivating. The best start to follow his epic journey is The Singer competition and watch him grow. He is from a musical family, Mum and Dad are professional singers. You don't need to understand the language to be touched by this beautiful being.

He is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist (piano, dombra [typical kazakh instrument], drums, guitar, keyboard, marimba and bayan). His parents, Kanat Kudaibergenuly Aitbayev and Svetlana Aitbayeva, are well-known and honored singers from Kazakhstan. They have put aside to support their son. Dimahs a younger sister and brother (Raushan and Abilmansur).
He is university trained in classical as well as contemporary music, and is known for his exceptionally wide countertenor vocal range. In 2014 he graduated in Classical Music with Major in Vocal (Bel Canto) from the music institute of K. Zhubanov University
in Aktobe.He began his studies in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana, where he graduated with Major in Vocal on 27 June 2018. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score, and receiving a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music.

This is one of my favorite performances from Dimash. His passion and his delivery is impeccable. I disagree with Asia and BJ on their assessment of this performance but I love them and their channel. He plays eight instruments. His grandmother raised him and she was his big influence in his singing. She started him with a voice teacher at the age of five.

Take a time, out of the cannel if you want, and listen some of his songs in Kazakh, many have English subtitles. Those songs are marvelous and heartbreaking even if we don't understand a single word 'cause Dimash is pure emotion singing them all. By the way his suit in this video is the same color of the flag of Kazakhstan.
Asia, the reason Dimash isn't already internationally famous is because he isn't a Western artist. For example, Andrea Bocelli is a famous artist known by virtually everyone. But, he had been recording, winning awards and competitions in Italy for years before he was widely known in the USA. His Western breakthrough didn't come until he recorded a duet with Celine Dion ("The Prayer"), a famous singer in the West. Unfortunately, international reputations are *very* Western-centric. Dimash's time will come, especially when he relocates to the USA later this year. Then, you and BJ can say, "Dimash? Yeah, we've known about him for years. Check out our youtube channel".

So one of the people Dimash looks up to is Lara Fabian she is a singer I would say more from the 90’s 2000’s era, although she still performs today. Anyways check her out, Dimash covers a few of her songs like this one Adagio. To start I recommend you react to Je Suis Malade subtitles if possible, also more recently Ti Amo Cosi where she performs with Dimash and another artist Aida. Anyways hope you like have a good one
