  • This video gives a high-level overview of the basic operating principles of phased array antennas, with visual examples of how they operate illustrated with ripples in water.
This is our (Michael Sinanis, Jenna Hickle, and myself) submission for the IMS 2015 RUclips/YouKu video competition.

Yo dude. I suggest you go into lecturing, next year I will be final year Electronic Engineering and I have come across very few people that will take this amount of effort to make a complex concept relatively basic to understand. Keep up the great work, well done and thank you for sharing.

If you end up teaching you're gonna be a great professor, especially in the field of electrical engineering where it's rare to have clear instructors (MIT doesn't count of course).

Using water droplets to visualize radio wave interference patterns is very intelligent and enlightening! Very good explanation video!
I'd like to imagine how interfering radio waves look in 3d though... If the water surface represents a xy plane, another spatial z plane would be nessecary to visualize actual radio waves being emmited from a PAA
